* TookALevelInBadass: Over the course of her initial competition, Christina was a nervous wreck at times and was terrified of failing. After she'd won and had spent time as an executive chef, her reappearances as the Red Team's sous chef showed that she was quick to lay down the law when the contestants weren't meeting expectations, proving that she wasn't to be trifled with.

* ChubbyChef: And unlike a lot of overweight contestants, he was no FatIdiot.

* FatIdiot: Was one of the few overweight chefs to avert this, alongside Robert and Petrozza.

Added DiffLines:

* YoungAndInCharge: Being an executive chef at 22 is impressive. Tavon's performance, on the other hand, was anything but.

Added DiffLines:

* {{Expy}}: He had quite a few similarities to Season 6's Jim, both being low-placing chefs (although Jim made it a bit higher), who weren't really that good in the kitchen, yet provided some pretty funny one-liners with their [[DeadpanSnarker snarky quips.]]

* TheGenericGuy: Never really stood out among the other chefs too much.

* HighHopesZeroTalent: You'd think a 22-year-old executive chef would be the one to beat. [[IncrediblyLamePun Instead, he was the first one to go home]].
* HonorBeforeReason: Was not happy about being nominated for elimination, but at least went out of his way to defend Don when his team debated sending him home over Royce, whose equally poor performance meant that Don could do very little to save service.

* ActuallyPrettyFunny: She bursts out into laughter upon discovering the Red Team had screwed up a punishment by churning butter over ice, causing them to have to do more work than necessary.

* NeverMyFault: For the most part she averted this trope, but in the "''Hell's Kitchen'' 100th service" she tried blaming Gail for the fact that she got caught trying to recycle a risotto that had been made for the previous table. While Gail technically did tell Nona that she could re-use the risotto, Nona was seriously TemptingFate by trying to pull something that Vinny had been royally chewed out for attempting in the previous episode, and should really have asked sous chef Andi rather than Gail.

* CantTakeCriticism: Zig-Zagged. If Dana got criticism from some like Ramsay, she would take it as well as the other decent chef. But if she got criticism from anothe comeptitor, she would come down on them hard and refuse to accept it.

* TheWorfEffect: Throughout the season, Dana seemed to be on the level of Justin and Christina, and very well looked like a potential finalist. However, in her final two services, she fell apart "hard", as well as having one of the weakest pass performances.
