* BreakoutVillain: While not nearly on the same level as Sandalphon and Belial, he's become this following his resurrection in "What Makes The Sky Blue: 000", with him being [[TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers the only evil Lucifer-lookalike in the Granblue universe]], his deep voice, and his general badassery, especially in his raid, definitely helping him gain this status. It also helps that he is the object of Belial's affection, and is the second half of a villanous relationship foil with Belial that contrasts Lucifer and Sandalphons more pure relationship.

* MechanicallyUnusualFighter: As a playable character in ''Versus Rising'', Lucilius is the only character who does not utilize Plus Skills. Recently discovered the Ret Canon trope, which does explain a lot about Beelzebub. And also because of said Ret Canon trope, I think I can restore the Villain Song example that I once deleted, but adding more context this time. It's rather complicated.

Added DiffLines:

* RetCanon: Several concepts regarding Beelzebub actually originated from the ''Versus'' FightingGame spin-offs and his iteration there (such as his unhooded appearance and "Existence" theme song) before they were implemented in the ''Granblue'' gacha, and despite ''Versus'' having its own story that [[AlternateContinuity deviated]] from the gacha's "What Makes The Sky Blue" arc.

Added DiffLines:

* VillainSong: Beelzebub is a unique case because he wasn’t associated with any theme song when he freshly debuted in the ''Granblue'' gacha game. The FightingGame spin-off ''Versus'' gave [[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e1hcOok_BX8 "Existence"]] as his theme, which [[spoiler:talks about his jealousy of Lucilius, and his desire to triumph over him to become the king of all existence]]. Eventually later on, "Existence" [[RetCanon is added in the source gacha game]] itself as the background music of Beelzebub's raid boss fights and related quests such as "Long Live the King".

This is more appropriately placed in Granblue Fantasy Versus instead. It's more of a location trope than a character/characterization trope.

* PocketDimension: [[spoiler: His new plan in ''Versus Rising'' is to lure the Singularities into one of these, a realm called "Point Zero" which he created himself using chaos energy where the laws of causality do not apply, allowing him a chance to kill hsi enemies and finally achieve his goal of the world's destruction.]]

A Characters subpage has now been finally created for the Granblue Fantasy Versus spin-off and its sequel (It was long overdue). Some sentences or trope examples are better off placed/moved/crosswicked there instead, especially if the trope is specific/exclusive only to the Fighting Game.

* ATwinkleInTheSky: In ''Versus'', his super skybound art turns the opponent into a twinkle in the sky that promptly [[SlapOnTheWristNuke explodes into a blazing star]].

* CombatSadomasochist: It's clearly evident from his combat dialogue in [[Videogame/GranblueFantasyVersus Versus]] that Belial enjoys getting hurt just as much as he enjoys hurting others.

* ConfusionFu: A large part of his fighting style in ''Versus''. Many of his moves have delayed startup or ambiguous animations that make it difficult for his opponent to tell exactly what he's going do.

* DidNotSeeThatComing: Belial got a little ''too'' ahead of himself during chapter 50 of ''Versus''. [[spoiler: Everything was going according to plan with the exception of one thing, ''Beelzebub'', who was enraged at the fact that Belial survived and at the Captain for defeating him, if Belial had played his cards correctly then he and Bubs would have double teamed the crew and probably defeated them. However Belial, being [[{{Troll}} Belial]] chose immediate self-gratification and started taunting the Astral-Primarch hybrid, causing the would be king of the skies to do something that Belial truly wasn't expecting: Team up with the crew, which led to his defeat and Lucilius' awakening too early, with the latter forcing Belial to the rift between dimensions to fully awake him.]]

* KickThemWhileTheyAreDown: In [[Videogame/GranblueFantasyVersus Versus]], if he finishes an opponent with Anagenesis, the next cutscene shows Belial (from the victim's point of view) stomp on their head to humiliate them further.

* {{Troll}}: In ''Versus'', his unique move is walking towards the opponent with his arms spread out to mock them. If anything but a throw hits him in this state, he dodges the attack and stomps on the opponent's head.

* ArchEnemy: ''Versus'' establish them as the Captain's, in comparison to the rivalry between Belial and Sandalphon or [[spoiler: Lucilius]] and Lucifer. [[spoiler: Unlike the others though Beelzebub is smart enough to make a RivalsTeamUp situation with the Captain to get rid of Belial in said game.]]
