[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kcco_logo.png]]
Special Operations Command branch of the Soviet Union's military.

!!In General
* AchillesHeel: Morale and Mortality - unlike the other factions in the game, KCCO is composed primarily of living humans assisted by T-Dolls and machines. While this gives them certain edges over the other factions, [[spoiler:it also means that any losses they take are much more difficult to replace, and that they can be defeated by being demoralized. Their combat efficiency ends up disintegrating during Polarized Light when G&K keep fighting despite literally apocalyptic conditions, allow the near totally exhausted Griffin to pull a come from behind victory against all odds.]]
* ArmiesAreEvil: [[spoiler: They're perfectly willing to stab G&K in the back just to further their own goals.]]
* AlwaysSomeoneBetter: [[spoiler: Griffon & Kryuger's forces can't hold their ground against the Dolls used by KCCO, which are far more efficient due to not needing to maintain a human appearance. What makes it particularly notable is that they also reliably curbstomp ''Sangvis Ferri'' as well, which leads to ''both'' [=PMCs=] being [[TheRemnant all-but-destroyed]] by the time ''Polarized Light'' rolls around and forcing a EnemyMine for survival.]]
* BigBad: [[spoiler:KCCO becomes the main antagonist of the story following the events of Singularity, where they backstab Griffin and Kryuger and begin trying to eliminate the PMC in its entirety. They hold this position until the events of Polarized Light, where an EnemyMine between G&K, Sangvis Ferri, and KCCO's own superiors sees their grunt forces all but wiped out and their leadership disavowed and arrested (or in Yegor's case, killed off).]]
* EnemyCivilWar: [[spoiler: The KCCO is merely one branch of the New Soviet Union armed forces and does not represent the entirety of them. In fact, Carter's faction within the military is seen as controversial by other military leaders. Come Polarized Light, and the situation in Moscow has deteriorated enough for the Soviet Airforce to conduct an airstrike ''on'' KCCO forces.]]
* EvilCounterpart: To Griffin and Kryuger, being a military force employing T-Dolls that are loyal to humanity (or at least their country).
* EvilerThanThou: ''Polarized Light'' cements that KCCO is and will always be a greater threat than Sangivs Ferri, as while all factions present are fighting over [[spoiler:the Stars and Pikes]], KCCO come the closest out of all the antagonists to acquiring it.[[note]]Elisa comes pretty close as well, but it is later revealed that her actions would have been AllForNothing, as she lacks the ability to interface with her target.[[/note]]
* GratuitousRussian: On a very technical level, KCCO is a literal Latin "transcription" of the Cyrillic characters "КССО". The faction's name in Russian is командование сил специальных операций, which transliterates to ''komandovanie sil specialʹnyh operacij'', meaning that a transliterated acronym should actually be KSSO.
* HackYourEnemy: Some KCCO units are abandoned on the field, and these units can be hijacked by approaching them within the detection range or taking over a radar node.
* KilledOffForReal: [[spoiler:The end of ''Polarized Light'' has the leadership in Moscow arrested and the majority of their field forces (including Yegor) K.I.A., effectively ending KCCO as a faction.]]
* MeleeATrois: They serve as the third faction in the conflict between Griffon & Kryuger and Sangvis Ferri, and their units ''will'' attack both your Tactical Dolls and Sangvis Ferri units.
* MookDepletion: This is noted to be an actual problem for KCCO - their forces contain a mix of Dolls and human forces, the latter of which cannot be replaced as easily as the former. [[spoiler:The events of Polarized Light end up being a TotalPartyKill for KCCO, with their human forces either killed off or arrested.]]
* RenegadeRussian: KCCO is part of a faction within the Soviet Military who are opposed to their government making peace with their enemies and join the Pan-European Union since they feel it's an insult to the soldiers who died for the motherland during World War 3.
* ShadowArchetype: To G&K, on numerous levels:
** Griffin and Kryuger is a PMC while KCCO is part of the New Soviet Union's military command.
** G&K are HeroicNeutral while KCCO is firmly an example of ArmiesAreEvil.
** G&K T-Dolls are RidiculouslyHumanRobots and amongst the most advanced in the world. KCCO's T-Dolls are also amongst the most advanced, but [[BoringButPractical trade away humanizing traits for combat effectiveness]].
** Griffin forces are almost entirely composed of T-Dolls while KCCO has plenty of human troops in addition to their T-Dolls.
** Both are also the only factions to utilize [=HOC=]s and vehicles (KCCO has the former in the form of Gustafs, whilst G&K are scheduled to get the latter in an update).
* ThemeNaming: All of their units are named after monsters from Myth/ClassicalMythology.
* UniversalAdaptorCast: Despite the KCCO's complete absence from the Isomer event, their units still show up anyway as part of Belgrade's militia, even flip-flopping between ally and enemy [[spoiler:(as Paradeus defectors within Belgrade)]] as they usually do in other events.

!!General Carter

Full name Yegor Arkatiyevich Beretev. The right-hand man of General Carter.
----
* AFatherToHisMen: It's made clear that Yegor values the lives of his subordinates. [[spoiler: He seeks revenge against Angelia because she was the one who gave [=M4A1=] the order to detonate the Collapse Fluid container, which killed a large number of his soldiers. Angie later exploits this, threatening him with another Collapse Fluid explosion that will wipe out the rest of his men.]]
* FamilyMan: Implied. It is mentioned that he is married and has a happy family life. [[spoiler: His last act before drowning along with his mech is to look at a photo of his family.]]
* TheHeavy: Yegor is far more of a direct threat than Carter. [[spoiler: He personally shot [=RO635=], pursued Ange after the events of Singularity, and commands the KCCO detachment sent to Paldiski in Shattered Connexion]].
* JustAMachine: On the other hand, he [[WhatMeasureIsANonHuman doesn't value the lives]] of Griffin & Kryuger Tactical Dolls, and only sees them as expendable tools.
* MajorlyAwesome: Yegor is promoted to Major sometime after the events of Singularity.
* NotQuiteDead: [[spoiler: Even after his mech is rendered incapacitated by DEFY ''and'' battered by a deluge of sea water, Yegor ''still'' manages to crawl out of the cockpit and deliver one final speech to Ange before succumbing to his wounds.]]
* PatrioticFervor: He firmly believes that his actions are done for the good of his country.
* PunchClockVillain: Despite having low opinion on T-Dolls, it can be argued that Yegor's worst crime is following orders from his superiors.

* VillainousValour: The Commando Squad Leader from Polarized Light, [[spoiler: who, after having his entire squad slaughtered by [=M4A1=], ''sheds his protective gear'' just to reach the command center faster. He succeeds. Even when he's killed by [=M4A1=], he still completes his objective by using the weight of his body to pull the firing lever]].
* TheUnfought: As far as gameplay is concerned. These guys only appear in story cutscenes and never fought in-game proper.
!!Cyclops

KCCO infantry bots armed with the same [=AN-94=]/[=GP-25=] combination as their human counterparts. Its role is similar to that of Sangvis Ferri Vespids, and are one of the weakest KCCO units.
----
* TheGoomba: Easily the least threatening unit in KCCO's roster.
* GrenadeLauncher: Though they often pose little to no threat to the player's squads, the assault rifle-armed Cyclops will make use of their rifles' under-mounted grenade launcher if they are allowed to get within shooting range, and while each grenade won't do much, [[GrenadeSpam a full platoon of these bots launching grenades WILL hurt]].

Quadruped KCCO walker robots. Though smaller than Sangvis Ferri Manticores, they are much more dangerous. True to that word, they are extremely powerful, easily one of the most powerful and dangerous KCCO units. They have a staggering 199 armor stat, which is so strong that even fully augmented and calibrated 5-star armor piercing rounds are not enough to punch through. Their also sport massive firepower that can quickly tear through even the toughest shotgun or SMG dolls.
----
* AdvancingBossOfDoom: They're often used as such, with their nigh-inexorable advance on your command post acting as a turn limit on the stage. Even when they aren't set to go after the command post, they're usually intended to be moved past, rather than fought.
* SpiderTank: Like the Manticore.

!!Cerynitis

A bipedal walking auto-cannon platform covered in armor. They are similar to the Nemeums Sangvis Ferri uses, but are much stronger, having much higher stats. They also lack the Nemeum's charging effects, letting them shoot immediately after stopping.
----
* ArmoredButFrail: They have reasonably thick armor that makes them a huge pain for echelons that lack armor piercing such as most AR/SMG compositions, but go down pretty quickly to echelons that can penetrate their armor.
* ChickenWalker
* GiantMook: While the chibi is around the size of the T-dolls, a CG reveals that they're way bigger than expected, about two stories tall.
* MightyGlacier: They're slow and have powerful and accurate weapons to go with their relatively thick armor, making them very dangerous to echelons that lack the armor piercing to hit them for full damage.

An unmanned KCCO light tank. Fires a beam as its primary (and only) weapon. Gameplay-wise, they are stationary and hit the entire row they're in, only stopping if you manage to get close enough.
----
* ArtificialStupidity: After you get close enough that they cannot shoot you with their main gun, do they back up to increase the distance? No, they'll just sit there and wait as your [[DeathOfAThousandCuts single handgun slowly chips away at their health]]. Furthermore, they will not stop shooting even if the lanes they're aiming down is completely devoid of targets.
* FixedForwardFacingWeapon: Their main cannon can only fire on the row they're in.
* HoverTank: Instead of propelled by tracks like a traditional tank, Typhons float slightly above the ground.
* MagneticWeapons: Despite the appearance of their shots, the story mentions that the Typhon's main gun is an electromagnetic cannon, and the barrel design itself is reminiscent of railguns.
* LogicalWeakness: Their only weapon is the beam cannon and if you get close enough, it cannot depress it to shoot close targets. Team 404 tried to exploit this. [[spoiler: All it gets them is a heavily damaged [=UMP45=].]]
* TankGoodness: Stated as one of KCCO's strongest units, they represent some of the biggest threats both in story and gameplay.
* WaveMotionGun: Their only means of attacking is firing a laser beam that hits an entire row.
* WeaksauceWeakness: Typhons have no other means of defending themselves against encroaching echelons. Their cannons have an ArbitraryMinimumRange, and will stop shooting after your T-Dolls managed to get close enough to them, and then it's open season. Furthermore, their [[ArtificialStupidity limited AI]] means they will steadfastly fire down the lanes immediately in front of them and nothing else, so moving your units away from a Typhon's specific range will negate all of the damage it would have dealt to your T-Dolls.

* EarlyBirdCameo: Although their official debut is Shattered Connexion, they made an early appearance in EN and JP builds of the game during the Unheard Legends of Azure Seas event, reskinned as watermelons, which is a nod to their PunnyName.
* PunnyName: Their asset files are named "Suikataro", which is Japanese for "watermelon". And they do happen to look a lot like those as well, sporting a green spherical body with markings running around their hulls. During the Unheard Legends of Azure Seas event, they are reskinned into ''actual'' watermelons.
* ZergRush: Pathfinders have only one combat strategy and that is to bumrush your echelon in massive numbers.

!!Archer [=/=] Centaur
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_archer_chibi.png]]
KCCO long range infantry doll. The Archer fires arrows from a distance and inflicts fire damage via concentrated incendiary arrow skill.
----
!!Beast [=/=] Orthrus
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_beast_chibi.png]]
KCCO mechanical dog unit. The Beast opens a shield which reduces all damage outputs to 1 before starting to attack your [=T-Dolls=].
----
!!Minotaur [=/=] Tesla Trooper
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_tesla_trooper_chibi.png]]
KCCO heavy armored dolls. The Tesla Trooper open a shield that blocks [=80%=] of your damage outputs before starting to attack your [=T-Dolls=] with missiles and its arms.
----
* LightningGun: A Minotaur's primary mean of attacking is to discharge electricity from its pair of gauntlets, dealing undodgeable damage over time.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Downplayed. Minotaurs will shoot four missiles during their second attack cycle.
!!Gustaf
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_gustaf.png]]
KCCO railway gun. It is equipped with a railgun and several cannons, providing fire support for the rest of the KCCO units.
----
* ArtificialStupidity: Its railgun will target the Drone unit deployed by the Taunt Fairy first before going after the rest of your units.
* CoolTrain: A railway gun equipped with a [[MagneticWeapons railgun]], and the cool part comes when you have a friendly Gustaf providing fire support for you. [[spoiler:And then your Gustaf gets destroyed during the events of ''Polarizing Light''.]]
* MeaningfulName: It is named after the Schwerer Gustav, an 80cm railway gun.
----
!!Coeus
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_coeus_chibi.png]]
----
* HoverTank: Similar to Typhons, they're heavily armored [=UGVs=].
----
!!Kratos
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_kratos_chibi.png]]
----
* {{BFS}}: Their swords are almost as tall as they are.
* StoneWall: While they have low accuracy and damage output, their true threat lies in the sheer amount of firepower needed to bring one down.
!![=AA-02=] Ares [=/=] Sinner
[[quoteright:200:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/girls_frontline_ares_chibi.png]]
KCCO mecha. The Ares is piloted by Yegor and his bodyguards as their personal unit.
----
* AchillesHeel: Since the Ares mech primarily relies on regenerating its HP shield periodically to defend itself, it's extremely vulnerable to Desert Eagle's passive skill, which [[ArmorPiercingAttack pierces through its HP shield]] while staggering it for a brief second upon breaking the shield.
* HumongousMecha: Ares mechs dwarfs other KCCO units in size, power, and durability.
* LogicalWeakness: For all the armaments they carry, they have a disproportionately small legs. [[spoiler: AK-15 manages to temporarily cripple one by sneaking a grenade between the leg joints.]]
* MacrossMissileMassacre: Ares carry a missile rack that can be used to bombard your formation. Unlike the single-shot launchers mounted on Minotaurs, these can shoot periodically. [[spoiler: Yegor also used a missile bombardment to take out Task Force DEFY members in their fight.]]
* MoreDakka: The thing is absolutely ''bristling'' with guns on every hardpoint.
* SuperPrototype: An upgraded version of Assault Artillery mechs. The Commander even expressed surprise that the military possess mechs of this caliber.
----
!!Recce Center
Automated KCCO assembling facilities. They are mostly harmless until alerted by the presence of your echelons, at which point they go into alert mode and start pumping out Pathfinders at an alarming rate.
----
* EarlyBirdCameo: Although they officially made their debut in Shattered Connexion, reskinned Recce Centers appear early for the EN and JP servers as watermelon-dispensing huts on Unheard Legends of Azure Seas event maps.
* MookMaker: Even a single Recce Center can create incredible amounts of Pathfinders on its own. If your echelon can't destroy them in time, their spawns will be the death of you.
* ZergRush: This is how they "fight" you, by constantly churning out huge hordes of Pathfinders until they die, or your echelon gets overwhelmed.
