* ObliviousToLove: Absolutely doesn't pick up on Rikka's feelings for her until it becomes a plot point in ''Printemps''. In general, she's slow on the uptake to see feelings of love other than herself, such as Chidori's crush on Erika in ''Été'' or [[spoiler:Tsuwabuki's crush on Rikka]] in ''Hiver''.

* StaticCharacter: Discussed. Ever since Mayuri disappeared at the end of ''Printemps'', most of her actions are motivated by her desire to find her no matter what. As such, Erika and Yuzuriha correctly point out that she didn't truly let go of the past despite having grown out of her shyness. By ''Hiver'', Suoh herself acknowledges that unlike the rest of her friends, she didn't really change on the inside.

After three years, her father realized what she did to her daughter and divorced her on the spot, and Suoh was taken in by her grandfather, who teached her how to erase her step-mother's shadow.

* IJustWantToHaveFriends: She decided to attend Saint Angraecum Academy in the hope that the Amitié system would help her find friends.

The unnamed stepmother of Suoh, who's largely responsible for her lack of self-esteem and lingering trauma in ''Printemps'' and ''Hiver''. When Suoh's mother died young, her father decided to remarry not long after with a famous pianist that would become her new mother, alongside her son. At first, she proved to be a loving parent who teached her son and Suoh the fundamentals of piano. However, she was one day stricken by a disease who robbed her of her ability to play, and Suoh discovered herself a innate talent for piano, vastly surpassing her son.

Following this, she became an abusive and incredibly horrendous parent who mentally tortured her stepdaughter on a daily basis during spartan piano lessons, culminating in an incident during a concert, revealing the mental scars left on her mind. Suoh's father then immediately filed for divorce, putting an end to three years of relationship, while leaving Suoh to her grandfather. Despite being gone for several years, the lingering shadow of her stepmother causes her severe distress whenever she approches a piano in ''Printemps'', but she eventually grows out of it at the end thanks to Mayuri Kohsaka's support.
