* RobotClown: A LighterAndSofter (InUniverse, at least) version of recurring animatronic Foxy whose bright colors make it resemble a clown. It was set up as an attraction for kids to play with. However, [[KidsAreCruel the kids ultimately tore it apart]], turning it into a mechanical monstrosity.

* RobotClown: A childlike animatronic who looks like a clown due to his red nose and cheeks, big smile, and colorful clothing. He also has the ability to interfere with the protagonist's flash light and vent lights.

* RobotClown: A mime-like animatronic who is controlled by a music box. She plays with this trope, however, because she seems very different from the other animatronics. Some speculate that she isn't a robot at all, but none know for sure what she really is.

It reappears in the third game in two different places: It appears in all of the intermission minigames, leading Freddy and company to the walled-off room (or near it, since they can't enter), where William dismantles them.[[note]]The game doesn't actually confirm if Shadow Freddy ''is'' the Purple Guy or not. On one hand, it led them to their certain doom, and [[PurpleIsPowerful it's purple]], much like William himself. * AIIsACrapshoot: The advertised facial recognition system that was ''supposed'' to prevent them from maligning or attacking humans, doesn't. They're just as messed up as their predecessors. Unlike the original group, it's unclear if they're haunted or not.

However he is one of the most dangerous animatronics as each flip of the camera where you don’t check if he needs help with his game puts you at risk of unavoidable death. In 50/20 mode he is one of the most dangerous animatronics, and one of the most popular Death Coin candidates.

* HappinessIsMandatory: All his phrases sound happy and he is only capable of smiling.

* AmbiguousSituation: When it comes to it and Nightmare [[VideoGame/FiveNightsAtFreddys4 two games later]] being the same character or not isn't made a hundred percent clear.

* NotQuiteDead: Fazbear Entertainment kept most of their shells after they were [[spoiler:scrapped]], and there's heavy implication that their parts were used to refurbish the original animatronics, with whatever few parts being left behind being kept along with the shells. They may or may not live on in ''3''[='s=] minigames as well.

* RedHerring: The presence of several action figures of the main four Toys in the post-night minigames in ''4'' appears to add credence to the theory that the fellow prequel takes place in 1987 as well, and that [[spoiler:the incident seen at the end of the main game is The Bite of '87]]... until WordOfGod confirmed that ''4'' took place in 1983. This, however, means that the Toy animatronics are quite a bit older than they appear to be, having existed for at least four years before the grand reopening of the pizzeria (which supposedly happened only a week prior to the events of ''2''). However, it's possible that the Toy animatronics were based on the toys.

* TheCameo: In ''4''. If you head into the right room in the second Mini-game, a pile of its parts can be seen next to the bed. Absolutely no reason is given why it's there, nor is it ever brought up in the other night minigames, but the people on the "''[=FNaF=] 4'' takes place in 1987" side of [[spoiler:the [[BrainFood Fredbear incident]]]] debaters believe that it's a sign that backs their theory up. Said theory was later jossed by WordOfGod.

* AmbiguouslyEvil: It isn't made very clear whether or not he was helping William or his victims during the Follow Me minigames
* AscendedExtra: In ''2'', it served the same role Golden Freddy once had, being a rare easterEgg that can crash your game, in ''3'', it became a key character behind Springtrap's creation.

* TheFourthWallWillNotProtectYou: As with RWQFSFASXC and Golden Freddy, the game will intentionally close itself if you stare at it for too long. Unlike Golden Freddy, this is not done with a JumpScare.

* SupportPartyMember: Serves as this for the animatronics. He's the only one that doesn't actively try to kill you. However, he'll disable your lights, leaving you wide open for Foxy. In ''3'', he sort of serves as this for you, or at least his voicebox does, allowing you to lure Springtrap away from your Office. Averted in ''Special Delivery'' where he becomes powerful enough to JumpScare you.

Baby's body structure is huge compared to the Puppet and has a feminine design, and her initial purpose, down to her design, seems to be entertaining children, but [[BrightIsNotGood it's all to hide her true purpose: kidnapping and murdering children]]. Furthermore, [[spoiler:during her time as a part of Ennard in ''Sister Location'', Baby wore a human as a meat suit temporarily]], while the Puppet [[spoiler:wore another animatronic over herself in ''Pizzeria Simulator'']].
