The shadow version of Monster Rat that appears in the Shadow Challenge mode. He and Shadow CAT also appear in the minigames, where he attacks you if you go off the path.

After the third game's release, [[WordOfGod Emil Macko]] says that Shadow [=RAT=] is the [=RAT=] himself, haunting Mary's nightmares in a noncorporeal form, much like Shadow Candy.

The mascots of ''Candy's Burgers & Fries'', and the main antagonists of the game. Like their ''[=FNaF=]'' counterparts, they are friendly to children during the day, but hostile towards the security guard at night.

The face of the game and restaurant, and the leader of the animatronics.[[note]]Well, the in-commission ones, at least.[[/note]] Candy was the first fan character made by Emil and his most popular one. In gameplay, he attacks both doors from the very first night.

Though in one of the pictures that Blank picks up, it shows a kid drawing asking "Where's Chester?"

The original version of Candy The Cat, and the predecessor to the current Candy. He's been decommissioned, so he stays at the back of the storage room, out of the camera's line of sight. When he does become active, he approaches the left door, which normally wouldn't be anything special. However, due to his age, his eye lights have gone out, forcing you to use night vision mode to spot him on the cameras.

* AffablyEvil: He's much more sophisticated when compared to the other animatronics, and may have [[spoiler:killed a man for making a child cry]].
* BerserkButton: [[spoiler:He didn't seem to take very kindly to someone making a kid cry.]]
* BullyHunter: [[spoiler:Make a kid cry, and he will outright kill you.]]
* CatsAreMean: Even more aggressive and violent than Candy and Cindy ''combined''.
* TheDragon: To Candy and Cindy, possibly.
* DragonInChief: He's much more violent than Candy and Cindy combined.

That said, despite the ''character's'' popularity, one of the children says his ''actor'' is a jerk.

* ArchEnemy: To the female members of the Schmidt family. Especially Mary, as his actions tortured her in her childhood and adulthood.
* AscendedExtra: While he was the FinalBoss of the 1st game, the 2nd game's last night has just him and CAT.

* BigBadDuumvirate: With CAT in the 2nd game.
* BigBadEnsemble: With Candy and Cindy in the 1st game.
* BigBadWannabe: Sure, he and CAT in their Monster forms go after you for most of the third game... but it's ''Vinnie'' who made them this way.

* FauxAffablyEvil: Gives off this vibe without saying a word. His twisted SlasherSmile doesn't help. Plus he lacks the animatronics' love of children, and may have even ''killed'' some. He even tries to attack one.

* GreaterScopeVillain: His actor's alcoholism was the thing that started the series... but he isn't ''the'' ultimate villain.

* BigBadDuumvirate: With RAT in the 2nd game.
* BigBadWannabe: Sure, he and RAT in their Monster forms go after you for most of the third game... but it's ''Vinnie'' who made them this way.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: Not only does he look relatively human, like Foxy, he doesn't have a set route to your office, he just smashes the window and rushes you.
** In the 2nd game, JustIgnoreIt is the only method you have to beat him.

* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: He is very different from the others, like using the cameras' blind spots.
** The 2nd game subverts this, as he is a CompositeCharacter.
