FacelessGoons: Peacekeeper troopers.
troopers wear the requisite face-concealing helmets (mainly to establish the SamusIsAGirl introduction of Aeryn Sun) but officers and technicians go unmasked.
* FantasticRacism: Quite apart from their distrust of non-Sebaceans -- sometimes to the extent of discharging executing soldiers for "Irreversible Contamination" -- hybrids are treated with utter contempt.contempt. Their racist policies are likely a deliberate attempt to isolate their soldiers from alien populations, preventing fraternization and empathy. However, the Peacekeepers are practical enough to recognize the value of keeping individuals like Scorpius around. Individual officers are also shown to [[ScrewTheRulesIMakeThem ignore these rules as it suits them]].

* FemmeFatale: A heroic version. Her mission is to get close to Clavor, and kill him if ascends the trone, while doing whatever she can to keep his ass off it. She has no problem using her beauty and sexuality as a weapon, and also has no problem being genuinely warm and affectionate with someone she genuinely likes (like Crichton).

%%* ANaziByAnyOtherName* ANaziByAnyOtherName: If their aesthetic didn't give it away there's the brutal military rule and strict doctrine about keeping "bloodlines pure". * BetterTheDevilYouKnow: This was part of the Peacekeepers' pitch when seeking out allies against the Scarrans. Other species hate the Peacekeepers for their practices, but they fear the Scarrans even more. The Luxans are the first ones to sign a defense agreement, and they also help promote the idea to other species.

* PaperTiger: Downplayed. They are a legitimate threat to the protagonists and other species, but even they're not up to the task of fighting the Scarrans one-on-one. According to Scorpius, the Scarrans' forces in Season 3 outnumbered the Peacekeepers a whopping ten-to-one. The Peacekeepers had to lie about possessing secret wormhole weapons to prevent an all-out invasion. It's also revealed in Season 4 that they took the credit for Talyn!Crichton destroying a Scarran Dreadnought. Over time, however, the Scarrans began to suspect the truth (thanks in part to Grayza's negotiation attempt) and became increasingly belligerent. Even after obtaining more allies, the inevitable war still goes badly for the Peacekeepers.

* CantKillYouStillNeedYou: The Peacekeepers wanted to punish her for her LukeIAmYourFather, but they preferred making her an assassin instead of executing her outright. As she said, she was still young and able, which meant she was still useful to their cause (whereas Aeryn's father was a number of years older and thus considered less effective).

%%* ItGetsEasier: As she says to Aeryn:%%Quotes are not context.

* BenevolentBoss: His tenure as captain sees him rather personable to his underlings and very diplomatic when mediating disputes. This is quite frustrating to Grayza, who prefers a firmer hand.

* EvenEvilHasStandards: In Season 3, he expresses revulsion for how Crais abused his command in the name of revenge.

* KarmicJackpot: His successful overthrow of Grayza is partly due to this. No one wants to die in a needless fight with the Scarrans, but in a choice between Braca and Grayza, the sergeant gladly sides with the guy who has been nothing but pleasant to the crew.

%%* ArchEnemy: Of Rygel.

to:

%%* * ArchEnemy: Of Rygel. To Rygel. The Dominar loathes all Peacekeepers in large part because Durka was the first one to torture him, and he did so repeatedly without mercy. Every encounter between them is deeply personal.

Added DiffLines:

* ShadowArchetype: Represents what Aeryn would still be had she remained with the Peacekeepers. Henta shares Aeryn's general sense of honor and duty, but strictly in terms of being a Peacekeeper. She mocks Aeryn's display of compassion to a bullied child and couldn't care less about the millions that would be endangered by wormhole technology.

The leader of the Peacekeeper military during much of the Peacekeeper/Scarran War. His headquarters at Peacekeeper Strategic Command, Maryk is able to coordinate the considerable Peacekeeper military and issue his orders throughout the fleet.

As leader, Maryk is a very cautious man, perhaps to a fault. He is strongly opposed to an open war with the Scarrans believing that being outnumbered and out-gunned, the Peacekeepers have almost no chance of victory.

* BadBoss: Grayza had a tendency towards unreasonable demands towards her subordinates, and punishing them ''harshly'' when they failed to meet them. In one case, a technician designing a torpedo designed specifically for killing Leviathans warned her and Braca the weapon wasn't ready. Although Braca was willing to listen to her expertise, Grayza pressured him into ordering the weapon deployed anyway. When it inevitably failed as the tech predicted, Grayza ordered the poor woman to the Aurora Chair for the failure. Even though the tech ''warned her the weapon wasn't ready''.
** When her attempts at bluffing the Scarrans into a peace treaty fail, Grayza orders her Command Carrier to battle stations in hopes of salvaging her reputation, even though this would have almost certainly meant an act of war and the destruction of her Command Carrier. [[spoiler:This leads to [[TheDogBitesBack Braca relieving her of command with the support of the rest of the crew]]]].

They may throw in white or chrome for highlight here and there, but not often. Notably, Talyn, the Peacekeeper-Levithan hybrid, is almost exclusively red and black, on both his exterior hull, interior bulkheads, and even his [=DRDs=] (the command center has a lot of chrome in addition, though). That said, the Peacekeepers are ALighterShadeOfBlack to the Scarrans.
