* TheLastOfTheseIsNotLikeTheOthers: One of her main traits. Unlike the other Wonderlandians, her name isn't a common real-life name, her eyes aren't blue, and she has no destiny. Even her box is different. It's still a clock, but it's melting, in reference to Creator/SalvadorDali's ''The Persistence of Memory''. As the literal resident wild card, this makes sense.

* BigBadWannabe: The smallest pig briefly decides he wants to be an evil villain, though he changes his mind after a few hours. His "evil" acts barely even classified as PokeThePoodle anyway; he didn't quite seem to get that switching yellow mustard out for brown mustard, and releasing a ton if helium balloons over the school don't classify as villainy even if you ''do'' say "Dun-dun-DUNN!" in an evil voice after doing it.

* JerkassFacade: Her ADayInTheLimelight moments in the books show that she is not nearly as mean and aloof as she would like everyone to think, especially in her short story which has her becoming angry at some kid for making fun of Cedar, her almost friend, being unwilling to prank a depressed Raven, and worrying over Lizzie's homesickness. Then there are her actions in the main story lines.

After discovering her unsigned Story in the ''Story Book of Legends'', Raven and Apple spend the first [[ExpandedUniverse book]] searching for an answer to Bella's fate.
----
* CainAndAbel: What their tale was supposed to be, Bella would be beautiful on the outside but ugly on the inside and surrounded by flies while Brutta would be ugly on the outside but beautiful on the inside and be surrounded with butterflies, Bella would be jealous of Brutta's butterflies and after killing her own flies would try to kill Brutta, fail, and be cursed with ugliness. Daughter of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland. More of a CatGirl than an actual cat. While labelled as a Rebel in merchandise, in-universe she chooses to remain neutral and just amuse herself observing the mayhem the Royal/Rebel battle or her own pranks causes.

-->'''Voiced by:''' Bekka Prewitt.
----
* AmazingTechnicolorPopulation: Pale lavender.
* AnimalEyes: Cat-like slits, to go with her overall feline look.
* CatsAreMean: She loves causing chaos and confusion just for the sake of it, which fits with her legacy of the mischievous Cheshire Cat.
* CatGirl: Barely qualifies, due to her only natural feline features being her eyes, but she often wears cat-ear headbands and she has a tail in ''Way Too Wonderland'.
* CheshireCatGrin: A given.
* ChaoticNeutral: InUniverse. She refuses to be aligned with Royals or Rebels and cites sowing chaos as the reason.
* ElegantGothicLolita: Her basic look, with dark colors, MegaTwintails, and a fancy dress.
* EveryoneHasStandards: She may love sowing chaos and causing trouble, and even indulge in some slapstick, she draws the line at destroying Ever After.
* ExactWords: Her mom told her she'll tell the way to [[spoiler:break the riddles book's curse]] if she could get to her. She then places a board that could freeze people if they misstep. [[spoiler:Kitty then remembers she could just teleport to the tower, since her mom just said Kitty needed to get to her, but not how.]]
* FemmeFatalons: Kitty is the only girl animated with distinctive blue fingernails.
* ForgotICouldFly: In ''Spring Unsprung'', she forgot about her ability to teleport out of stress and fear for her friends.
* FourthWallObserver: [[spoiler:''A Wonderlandiful World'' reveals that she can hear the narrator as well as Maddie. She even becomes the narrator briefly when the group splits up. ''Kitty's Curious Tale'' shows that she can hear both narrators of the web episodes, and spends all day trolling them. Unlike Maddie though, Kitty ignores them most of the time and makes sure they can't read her thoughts.]]
* ItKindOfLooksLikeAFace: Her signature outfit is patterned on damask wallpaper, which is known for having supposed "hidden faces" in its patterns. When one looks closely, one can see kittens hidden in the pattern, referencing her ability to fade away and teleport.
* {{Jerkass}}: In the Webisodes she has not done a single nice thing, though she does help empower the Wonderland Grove with madness.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: In the books she helps prove Maddie innocent and in ''A Wonderlandiful World'' where while she is still catty and aloof she is very helpful and even saves the Mad Hatter, and when given a chance to go home she instead returns to her friend's side. In ''Spring Unsprung'' she helps save Ever After by getting her mom to tell them how to remove the curse of the riddle book.
* LoopholeAbuse: Uses this on her own mother, much to Momma Cheshire's [[spoiler: delight]].
* OddFriendship: She considers Lizzie to be as close as a sister, and Maddie, her roommate, is counted as one of her best friends. Though as Kitty gets more characterization through the books and webisodes it becomes less odd and more heartwarming.
* OOCIsSeriousBusiness:
** In ''Maddie's Hat-tastic Party'', Kitty is shown to be genuinely distressed that Wonderland Grove is loosing its magic.
** Anything about Wonderland is very important to Kitty, about the only time she will be nicer is if a situation involves Wonderland or when she is helping someone from Wonderland.
* ThePrankster: Her very first appearance involves saddling the Pied Piper, her music teacher, with a swarm of rats. Her appearance in ''The Cat Who Cried Wolf'' has her being a LOT less harmless with her threatening to reveal [[spoiler:the truth about Cerise's family...[[HumanMomNonhumanDad or should we say pack]].]]
* PrettyInMink: Several of her outfits have fur accents.
* {{Sleepyhead}}: Kitty does enjoy her catnaps.
* TeleportationSpam: She can teleport anywhere much like her mother can, but if she uses it in rapid session or carries things/people it will tire her out quickly.
* TookALevelInKindness: In the third book, although it might have been [[spoiler:the Jabberwocky's]] magic affecting her behavior. She helps Maddie, Lizzie and Cedar save the school and [[spoiler:teleports Maddie's dad away from the Jabberwocky even though she's terrified of it]]. In ''Spring Unsprung'' she starts acting nicer when she realizes her mother's prank is getting out of hand, and it seems to be sticking as of ''Way too Wonderland''.
* {{Troll}}: She purposely started a food fight between the Royals and Rebels in ''The Day Ever After'', and instigated the Treasure Vault fiasco in the second book when it was already getting out of control.
* WellDoneDaughterGal: ''Spring Unsprung'' shows that she really values her mother's approval when it comes to pranks. Too bad Momma Cheshire doesn't think much of them.
* WildCard: Not affiliated with the Royals or the Rebels. In ''Kitty's Curious Tale'', she says that she could tell if she's either one or the other, but she founds more fun in causing troubles and [[spoiler:confusing the narrators]].
* YouGottaHaveBlueHair: Light lavender.

[[folder:Courtly Jester]]
[[quoteright:283:http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/photo_gallery_courtley_illustration_tcm571_248478.png]]

The Student Body President of Wonderland High.

--> '''Voiced by:''' Paula Rhodes
----
* BigBad: Of the ''Way Too Wonderland'' miniseries.
* BirdsOfAFeather: [[AccidentalPun Pun aside]], she considers Duchess to be her best friend. Both of them are not-so-nice girls who struggle with the desire to have respect and a greater role than they currently have.
* CheshireCatGrin: To the point that she may play this trope better than Kitty and the Cheshire Cat herself.
* EasilyForgiven: Arguably, given that she [[spoiler: is being allowed to enroll in Ever After High, even given the tricks she pulled on Raven and co. in WTW]]. Then again, she did do community service as punishment for her crimes, and fans voted in Courtly's favor, but it's hard to tell if the apology she offered in the video asking them to do so was sincere or not.
* {{Expy}}: A blonde villainous jester girl with a diamond motif and a connection to a joker? [[Comicbook/HarleyQuinn Hmm, who does that sound like?]]
* FacialMarkings: A white diamond is painted over Courtly's left eye, [[IJustWantToBeYou much like the red heart painted over Lizzie's eye]].
* FreudianExcuse: Courtly feels that others, mostly the higher ups of Wonderland, don't give her any respect because she is a Joker, a card not usually played. This is why she wants to steal the respect by usurping the Queen of Hearts.
* GreenEyedMonster: Courtly harbours a special hatred towards Lizzie, because she is the Princess of Hearts who has the adoration the Joker girl lusts after.
* HappyHarlequinHat: She has one on a headband, and her collar invokes one as well.
* HeelFaceTurn: After fans voted to have her attend Ever After High, as well as on a profile of sorts for her, her behavior seems a lot more friendly and grateful. Then again, she hasn't interacted much with any of the cast yet or appeared in a regular webisode, so time will tell if she's faking it or not.
* HighCollarOfDoom: A purple collar with five jester tails and bells.
* LeaningOnTheFourthWall: Part of her character is that she has no story to fulfill or defy. In-universe, it's because she's a literal wild card, but out-of-universe, it's because she's not taken directly from the books.
* NoSenseOfPersonalSpace[=/=]FemmeFatale: Has a real love for draping herself in seductive posses while talking to people, getting in their personal space, and tapping them on the nose.
* OohMeAccentsSlipping: Courtly displays an InUniverse example; She normally addresses people with a Posh English accent, but switches to a Cockney accent while alone or losing her temper, hinting that the posh on is false.
* OriginalCharacter: While there are many playing-card residents of Wonderland, we never see a Joker in the original story. However, it's entirely possible and fits the overall theme of Wonderland's madness.
* PeekABangs: A large curl obscures her right eye. This doesn't apply to her doll or profile art, however, where her hair is styled differently and both of her eyes are visible.
* TheTrickster: Sort of. She's a Joker card, for one thing, who uses magic as a form of trickery in many cases. She's also good at twisting words and evidence in her favor, as she demonstrates by getting the girls convicted in Wonderland court, and she doesn't hold much respect for the royal authorities. Then again, she herself is an authority figure at Wonderland High: she's the student body president, and thus the vice principal and the principal as well (it's a matter of principle). And it's not as if she doesn't play by the rules; she usually does so in a twisted sort of way.
* SymbolMotifClothing: Despite her card lacking a suit, she takes on the suit of diamonds, which feature [[{{Pun}} in spades]].
* UnwittingPawn: She is unwittingly being used by the Evil Queen in her schemes.
* VagueAge: She's the Student Vice Principal in Wonderland and has an oval face , usually reserved for adults, in the webisodes. Her FemmeFatale behavior is also something associated with adults. Yet she's the same shorter Wonderland height and [[spoiler: enrolls into EAH as a student and wants to date Alistair]], something which would indicate that she's at least in the age range of the other girls at school.
* VillainExitStageLeft: Manages to get away from a very AxCrazy Raven when Apple steps in to calm Raven down. [[spoiler: Though she does have to go through Wonderland court and do community service as punishment for trying to usurp the Queen of Hearts]].
* VillainousHarlequin: But of course.
* WildCard: Is directly referred to as this, partially because of her heritage.

Cerise's sister, who lives with their dad and is destined to be the Big Bad Wolf. Obviously most people don't know she and Cerise are related. Her roommate is Justine Dancer, and it's unknown if she's a royal or rebel right now.
----
* EvilSoundsDeep: A female example and possible subversion. Ramona's voice is ''much'' deeper than any of the other girls', but despite being a villain's daughter, she's not very antagonistic herself.
* HumanMomNonHumanDad: Unusually for this trope, it's her mom's side that she's keeping secret. Everyone know's the Wolf is her dad, they don't know that Red Riding Hood is her mom.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Ramona's gruff and is pretty rude towards others, but supplementary materials, like the diaries, and her webisode with Justine reveal that she is very protective of people she cares about.
* RememberTheNewGuy: Before Dragon Games, there was no indication that Cerise had a sibling. [[spoiler: Unless you read Justine's diary.]]
* UnusualEars: Wolf ears like her sis, although since she's known as the Big Bad Wolf's daughter she has no reason to hide them.

* FishOutOfWater: Played to a nigh literal degree. A great source of Meeshell's shyness and insecurity is that land life is so odd and new to her.
* GettingCrapPastTheRadar: She says land-dwellers are "fin-backwards" about their princess roles, since she is used to the princess rescuing the prince.
* OurMermaidsAreDifferent: She's able to have legs, for one thing. Apparently her mermaid tail appears when she gets wet.
* RoseHairedGirl: Her hair is a soft pink to go with her shy and sweet nature.
* ShrinkingViolet: She tends to be shy and avoid the spotlight.
