* SpellMyNameWithAnS: Despite writing his name as Emile and nickname as Chugga, there are many commenters who write Emil and Chuggaa. Well, it's better than to be called Emily again, isn't it?

* CanadaEh: She's named after the capital of Canada, encouraging Chugga to make a few jokes about it (such as addressing the free healthcare at Pokémon Centers).

* TheFaceless: In his first few years, he never showed his face, except for one video he posted about wanting to see ''[=EarthBound=]'' on UsefulNotes/VirtualConsole, when he was uploading his first playthrough of ''[=EarthBound=]'', although he took it down shortly after and kept his face a mystery for newer subscribers. But he eventually subverted this after his appearance on The Speed Gamers. Nowadays, while he still acts shy while on camera, he's no longer afraid to show his face.

* NiceGuy: Emile is a friendly and easygoing guy who's also known to be very generous to his friends.

* HeroesWantRedheads: Has flirted with several female characters in his Let's Plays, with a good number of them being redheaded, or at least with a red hue. Most shown with Jasmine in [[VideoGame/PokemonGoldAndSilver Pokémon Crystal]]. Though she really wasn't one and it was just her overworld sprite.

* TheTeam: As usual, each member of Emile's team fills in a role on the roster:
** Ottawa is TheLeader, due to being Emile's starter Pokémon, as well as being JackOfAllStats.
** Haywire becomes TheLancer once caught, due to being incredibly fast, and hits pretty hard with her electric attacks.
** Terrabite serves as TheBigGuy, due to having many hard-hitting attack, and is often the one Emile calls on to quickly take someone down.
** Roc is considered to be TheSmartGuy, due to having attacks that cover multiple types, and becomes immune to all ground attacks once he evolves into Archeops.
** Hilbert acts as TheHeart, due to serving as the team's wall, with only a offensive attacks to battle against foes. This could also theoretically apply to him becoming the leader of a biker gang.
** And finally, Hex is the SixthRanger, due to being the last team member (and vastly different from the others), having NoBiologicalSex, and serving as an icy special tank towards Dragon-types.

* IncrediblyLamePun: Alas, some of his puns end up as this.

* BloodKnight: From the moment Chugga encountered him, Aidan proved himself to be a ferocious battler. As an Eeve, he managed to knock out both [=McFly=] as an Elekid and ''[[OlympusMons Victini]]'', while whittling Pignati down to [[LastChanceHitPoint 1 HP]]. Acknowledged by his IV trait being "[[{{Understatement}} hates to lose]]".
