He never appears in the story physically, but drops off special equipment for our heroes from time to time, with the elder members of the familia saying that they "just missed him"

TruthInTelevision actually, in spite of what [[EverybodyHatesHades modern media would have you believe]], Hades really wasn't that bad a guy in the original GreekMythology aside from his mood swings and his kidnapping of Persephone, who he was absolutely loyal to and affectionate towards (aside from the occasional seductive nymph, of course).

* EveryoneCallsHimBarkeep: Inverted. Has a strange habit of referring to almost ''everyone'' by their profession. For example, Hades is "Dad" to her, while Morlin is "Captain", and Durkon is "Tailor". There are exceptions to this rule, such as calling Elisia "Mrs. Elekor", Tessa by her actual given name, and Ian, who she calls [[ShipTease "Partner"]].

An old Human who tends to sit at the bar, drinking alcohol, and complaining about his glory days being behind him. One of the Hades Familia's deputies and one of his founding members, he trains new members and helps earn extra income through odd jobs.

* BaldOfAwesome: He's bald. He's awesome.
* DrunkenMaster: Justified. He has a Skill named such that boosts his stats the drunker he is.
* MagicalIncantation: For Thought Projection:

* MasterOfIllusion: His "Thought Projection" spell is the most powerful illusion spell in the world since it layers the illusions with barriers to make temporary physical constructs.

* NoNameGiven: He refuses to state his real name. If asked who he is, he'll reply with various terms that imply he was once a great hero but has since fallen. Most refer to him as "Hero's Shade" or just "the Shade."

* SinkOrSwimMentor: Not always, but he is not above this. He mostly tries to expose Rooster to a lot of different situations so she can adapt.

* WhatTheHellIsThatAccent: Not so much an accent. Hero's Shade has a very rough, course, and casual way of speaking. It can come across a bit Scottish-sounding at times, actually.

* ChainmailBikini: Averted, her armor covers her entire body. Most tend to be [[HiddenBuxom surprised when they see how curvy she is under it]].

* WeaponOfChoice: A spiked mace and a kiteshield. He also prefers armor, but unlike Runemeyer, doesn't wear a helmet, and his shield is less suited for offense than Serin or Runemeyer. In addition to blunt, the spikes of his mace can be used to shred with the right moves.

* ShoutOut: Rooster's first name is a reference to the protagonist of ''Film/TrueGrit'' Her surname is a reference to Ringabel, another AmnesiacHero from ''VideoGame/BravelyDefault''.

* TakingTheBullet: ''The'' go-to guy for this. His "Guardian" skill makes him do this for others 100% of the time, taking hits that would normally spell fatal in the name of protecting others.

* VeteranInstructor: Takes this role for the Hades Familia due to his experience and holds everyone to an extremely high standard and takes it upon himself to train the younger and frailer members of the team, particularly Ray due to being a young Pallum on the front lines. He also doesn't take kindly to insubordination, and is thus at odds with the fiercely independent Ian.

* FieryRedhead: A more subdued example, but she has brown hair but her tail is red, and while she's taciturn most of the time she's very passionate about her craft and takes great offense to people who look down upon her for her blindness.

* ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin: In opposition to most spells in the main canon, Sahgi's magic names are very straight forward and basically describe what happens in a single word.

* IHaveThisFriend: Due to Ray being a similarly superstitious and somewhat negative person, the two get along just fine. Thus Tairona asks him for dating advice (despite the fact that he's equally clueless) but hides it in metaphor.

* NervousWreck: Her defining trait. So much as ''brushing'' against her in the hallway is enough to send her into a panic. If she and Ray would run off screaming in opposite directions if they bumped into each other in a hallway at night.

* TheFaceless: Played with. Jersey certainly has a very [[BigBeautifulWoman curvy]] figure and pretty features, but never removes her unflattering cloak or lowers her [[InTheHood hood]].

* HeroicSecondWind: Another two of her skills, "Second Wind" and "Threshold."

* NonActionGirl: She's far too meek to do anything more than wildly swing her lantern for little effect.

* HorribleJudgeOfCharacter: Inverted, Hades is an ''amazing'' judge of character, able to see things in people that they themselves don't see due to his many years spent judging the dead and turns away those he feels lack character or won't actually be part of the family.

* MsFanservice: [[ImpossibleHourglassFigure Extremely curvy]], [[BuxomIsBetter very large breasts], [[StatuesqueStunner pleasantly tall]], [[ShesGotLegs leggy]], and even gains an ability that boosts her [[CharmPerson charisma]] later on.

* MysticKnight: Normally not possible in this world, but she's the exception since her Draw and Relay let her utilize others' magic. Her class is even "Magic Knight."

* CantHoldHerLiquor: She has an extremely low alcohol tolerance, and is worsened by the fact that she has a habit of ''[[MsFanservice stripping]]'' while drunk. [[MaleGaze Do note that most of her teammates are guys.]]

She even states that she finds the idea of [[PervertRevengeMode violently attacking the offender]] [[SubvertedTrope ridiculous]]. That said, she ''likes'' being buck naked, just not in front of ''others'' since it leaves her feeling as exposed and vulnerable as her blank and empty mind. It doesn't help that she's also said to have "the biggest tits she [Tessa] has ever seen in her life".

* NeatFreak: One of her defining traits is that she ''hates'' messes and will do anything to keep everything neat and tidy. The sight of grime sends her into a frenzy and she hates touching dirt and dust... which is why the dumpster-diving Ray annoys her to no end. Heck, she even takes her supplies into the monster-infested Dungeon... which, surprisingly enough, turn out to be pretty useful for cleaning the monster remains off magic stones.

* MeaningfulName: Moone, as in the Full Moon, a phenomenon werewolves are associated with.

** NotSoStoic: But he still sighs in annoyance and displays a full range of expressions.

A Half-Dark Elf Amazon who acts as a the team's cleric during dungeon runs. She has [[NightmareFetishist weird tastes]] and is rather depressed at times, but ultimately means well and is a great asset to the team. She's Level 2 at the start of the story.

* HalfHumanHybrid: Is Half-Dark Elf and Half-Amazon.

* TheEmpath: As a child and a demi-human (the latter especially, considering the fact that domestic animals are very sensitive to the vibes their owners give off), he's very good at communicating and coordinating with others, allowing him to pick the best song for the occasion.

* GagBoobs: She's an ''H-Cup'', for reference, Morlin and Rooster have an F-Cup and G-Cup respectively. They're ''still'' smaller than Jersey's!

* TheAce: He's a [[MasterOfAll fighter[=/=]mage[=/=]sorceror]] specializing in enchantments who is a master of various weapons and is stated to be even stronger than Morlin, who is the ''[[UpToEleven single-highest leveled character in the story]]'', despite being two levels lower than her (for reference, many people never reach Level 2). He's also a pleasure to talk to, a great drinking buddy, managed to talk down Elga's rage (which her own ''husband'' can't do), is a ladykiller, and enjoys eating new, exotic, and dangerous foods. He's so awesome that there's an entire table that goes unused in the Underworld Dormitory, with the older members of the familia discouraging others from taking it since it's "his table".
