** First, [[spoiler: Chikaishi had realised that there was a thief in the troupe, who used the group to steal valious things all around Japan. He also identified the thief, Kenzou Tajima, and tried to blackmail him. Tajima got fed up and killed him, which ties into the second case...]]
** Later, it turns out that [[spoiler: Tamanosuke had also realised that Tajima was a thief, so he staged the whole "Edo Boy" play as a way to flush him out and convince him to turn himself in. After killing Chikaishi (and stealing his disk containing the script of the play), Tajima set his eye on Tamanosuke and tried to murder him as well...]]

In this {{filler}} case, the Mouris take Conan to a hot spring inn to help him heal from a sprained ankle. There's also a film crew in the same place, ready to work with five female celebrities: publishing editor Yoriko, top model Asuka, novelist Eri, IdolSinger Harumi and oil painter Ema. Things go normally until two of the women are stabbed to death in the inn's grounds, and their lifeless bodies are surrounded by the inn's beautiful kimonos and ''obis''! Is this a supernatural revenge coming from the local deity, the Kimono Goddess? Or are both deaths the doing of someone in the crew instead?

* BreakTheCutie: [[spoiler: In the legend, Ohana. (She helps a rich lord, gets many beautiful kimonos as thanks, is falsely accused of a crime by two selfish {{rich bitch}}es who want her treasured kimonos, ends up unfairly executed). In the real case, Sakurako (orphaned and separated from her older sister, re-builds her own life from scratch, is falsely accused of drug traffic, can't prove her innocence, kills herself).]]

As its name says, this 2009 TV special is a crossover between ''Detective Conan'' and the legendary franchise, ''Franchise/LupinIII''. The Kingdom of Vespania has been thrown into turmoil after the deaths of its Queen and Crown Prince, and the crown is about to go to the Queen's youngest daughter Mira, a RebelliousPrincess [[ZeroPercentApprovalRating believed to be unfit to be the new sovereign]]. In an attempt to make her more popular, her advisor Count Keith arranges an official trip to Japan, and the paths of Princess Mira and her IdenticalStranger Ran Mouri end up crossing. Which ''also'' brings Conan into the fray, as not only he knows that his beloved Ran is playing the "princess" role for Mira, but he finds out that Lupin and his gang are planning a HUGE theft and they're hanging around Mira's entourage to get it done...

* {{Bowdlerize}}: For obvious reasons, this special has ''some'' less adult humor and FanService than it's usual in the ''Lupin III'' series.
