* AdaptationalVillainy: In the anime, Solomon is AffablyEvil and falls in love with Saya, [[spoiler:pulling a HeelFaceTurn to aid her against Diva and his brothers]]. In the manga adaptation, his niceness is only a pretty mask for his ugly true personality, being similar to Amshel as a cold-blooded, selfish villain who cares more about research on chiropterans than either of the queens. Instead of Diva choosing to [[spoiler:hunt down and rape Riku to impregnate herself]] of her own volition as she did in the anime, she gets a [[AdaptationalHeroism more sympathetic depiction]] and that despicable choice is shifted to Solomon who tries to [[spoiler:force a resisting Riku and disinterested Diva to mate]], and when that "experiment" is stopped by Diva's temper tantrum (much to Solomon's anger), he pretends to join Saya's side in hopes of [[spoiler:mating with her]] to just complete his "experiment."

* EvilCounterpart: Diva is what Saya could've been like if [[ForWantOfANail she had been the one locked in the tower instead of raised like a human]], driven home by how she acts and dresses similarly to how Saya did at the Zoo. [[spoiler:When Saya holds Diva's hand in the anime after Diva's death, the original Japanese dialogue even has Saya call her "my other half."]]

* ShadowArchetype: She essentially represents what Saya could have become had [[ForWantOfANail Saya been the one confined to a tower]]. Saya is fully aware that she and Diva's positions could been reversed, and in the Japanese dialogue for the anime, acknowledges Diva as her other half.

* BloodBrothers: They all share Diva's blood, operate closely together and refer to each other as brothers.

* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: Despite his appearance and comic relief status, he is capable of fight a Chiropteran as good as David is.

* HiddenBadass: Insinuates that he's not only stronger than James and Amshel but [[spoiler: that he's the single most powerful being to appear in the show, period.]]

* OneWingedAngel: Curiously, he doesn’t seem to have a full-body Chiropteran form as other Chevaliers do. His hand is permanently stuck as a Chiropteran claw (because Saya cut it off when she was in a blind rage from being woken from her hibernation too early) and he does have wings as well, but he never makes a full transformation. It’s never addressed if he’s simply unable to or if he can but chooses not to. Granted, he’s one of the strongest characters in the series even without this ability, but it seems strange that he never exhibits an ability that every other Chevalier in the series does.
