Sniffles is a very geeky individual seen as the local nerd by most peers. He has a knack for inventing machinery and constantly pursues a family of ants that'll always mutilate him in the end. Because of his plans’ tendency to backfire, Sniffles’ deaths are some of the most agonizing in the series.

Known by his fatal stupidity, he would escalate a mundane scenario into catastrophic bloodshed. He is often utilized in comedic gags, such as making a baffling cameo or being an unexpected plot element. He usually lives in a trailer, has quite the appetite, and because of his size and build, can survive injuries far more grievous than others. Unfortunately, that also means that Lumpy tends to have some of the longest and most torturous deaths in the series.

Already known for his fatal stupidity, this moose remains the lethal elk who escalates mundane situations into catastrophic bloodshed. He is one of the few Toons to always be portrayed as an adult or authority figure, so he tends to be a recurring caretaker of the other characters. Lumpy is often utilized in gags for comedy, where he either makes a [[TheCameo baffling cameo]] or shows up as an unexpected plot element. He usually lives in a trailer, has quite the appetite, and because of his size and build, can survive injuries far more grievous than others. She is characterized as an alpha-bitch. On some occasions, she behaves rather hostilely towards other characters and is responsible for some other Toons' misfortune or suffering. Petunia is in a prominent relationship with Handy, which ''Gory Toons'' takes advantage of for being official.

Petunia remains a severely mysophobic NeatFreak and this particular aspect of her character proceeds to grow even further throughout the series. Sadly, none of the filthy and ill-hygiene residences ever seem to heed her OCD. To add insult to injury, her deaths are among the messiest and the most outlandish. Petunia was once one of the only Toons to have never killed someone else, until the episodes “OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!” and “Come Clean, Scumbag!”. She is also the only character to have suffered a heart attack.

A dumb [[FunnyAnimal blue moose]] from the web series, ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Lumpy is an exaggerated case of LethallyStupid and an infamous example of MooseAreIdiots. He is the tallest and needless to say, doesn't emote any recurring features shared among the other characters.

Withstanding the position as one of the most used Toons, Lumpy has one of the highest numbers of appearances. He also has one of the highest kill counts, has the most jobs, and has the highest number of survived episodes.

Already known for his fatal stupidity, this moose remains the lethal elk who habitually escalates situations into catastrophic bloodshed. He becomes a {{Jerkass}} on a further basis, as his selfish behavior or troublesome mischief seems to have become a regular occurrence. He usually lives in a trailer, has quite the appetite, and because of his size and build, can survive injuries far more grievous than others. Unfortunately, that also means that Lumpy tends to have some of the longest and most torturous deaths in the series.

* ADogNamedDog: A bear cub named Cub.
* BabyTalk: Being a baby, this is how Cub talks.
* ButtMonkey: Dies in most of his appearances, usually caused by his father by accident. Unlike most of the characters, he has barely any way to protect himself due to just being a baby.
* BrainyBaby: Cub is made out as WiseBeyondTheirYears and acts less like an infant.
* CharacterDevelopment: He started as another filler Tree Friend and a babbling toddler who spouted nonsense, but now, he's very intelligent and speaks more coherently.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Cub was initially a simple-minded infant who would act the same as his canonical counterpart. However, he later develops a personality, where it's now established that he's merely a child with the appearance of an infant who's also a prodigy.
* ChildProdigy: Is characterized like this.

* SpotlightStealingSquad: As Pop became the most prominent parent character, Cub inadvertently gets a lot of screen-time than the other younger characters, resulting in him becoming one of the most recognizable characters in the series.

* PluckyComicRelief: His personality seemingly improved, but then again, Jeffy's role has lessened into the position of a goofy supporting character.
* ThemeTune: Has a theme song called "Doh De Oh" by Creator/KevinMacLeod and this is played whenever Jeffy's sheer idiocy/retardation ensues before the music changes or not, usually done for comic effect or not.

A [[CartoonCreature pizza-like creature]] with a large mouth iconicly debuting from the [[VideoGame/PacMan Arcade game with the same name.]] He is largely known for his notorious appetite and neighborly demeanor. Pac-Man was much more prominent in the show's early seasons, but now started to appear only sparodically.
-->Debut: Be cool as a seacucumber

------
* BigEater: Being Pac-Man, he loves to eat.
* DemotedToExtra: He used to appear much more frequently in earlier episodes, but he makes fewer appearances nowadays.
* HeroicMime: Never makes an audible sound.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/33_3.png]]
A blue flying squirrel from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Splendid is, of course, a superhero who has a variety of superpowers beyond flight, just as heat vision, frost breath, supersonic hearing, high durability, and super speed. While admired by his peers, particularly Sniffles and Toothy for his comic book appearances, Splendid is an awful superhero and his negligence often costs the Toons their lives. He would usually prefer to do his own thing, like knitting and reading.

Like Flippy, Splendid’s habit of accidentally killing other characters through failed heroic deeds makes his schtick repetitive. As a result, he has the lowest number of appearances out of the characters introduced in the prototype era. He also has the lowest number of deaths, having only died once.
-->Debut: Popcorn
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AntiHero: A NominalHero.
* BlueIsHeroic: He's a blue squirrel who is a superhero. Not a ''good'' one though.
* CoolMask: A red one. He is never seen without the mask, even while ClarkKenting.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Super Pooper" and "Splendid What Mondon't"
* DesignatedHero: {{Invoked}}. He's a super''hero'' in title only. He only helps others to get attention, and all his attempts to "save" people will result in them dying.
* DestructiveSaviour: Often causes more problems than he solves.
* FailureHero: His efforts to do good often lead to mass destruction and deaths of others.
* FlyingBrick: Has the standard set of superhero powers: {{Flight}}, SuperStrength, SuperSpeed, EyeBeams, SuperBreath, and SuperSenses.
* {{Jerkass}}: He causes more problems than he does solve them and is only a hero just to get credit.
* KarmaHoudini: Thanks to his NighInvulnerability, he's one of the few characters that rarely die, and usually escapes unscathed from the chaos and destruction he causes.
* LackOfEmpathy: He doesn't care when someone he is trying to protect dies.
* MikeNelsonDestroyerOfWorlds: In "Super Pooper", he inadvertently disintegrated the world.... by trying to defeat the villains with his heat vision.
* PowerfulButIncompetent: He's a SupermanSubstitute who never manages to save someone (and if he does, they usually don't stay alive for long afterward) due to a combination of stupidity, carelessness, and a lack of interest in his "job".
* SupermanSubstitute: His FlyingBrick powers, ClarkKenting, and KryptoniteFactor are retained.
* SuperStrength: Due to being a superhero, he can lift things much bigger than himself.

[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/13_3.png]]
A [[FunnyAnimal prehistoric yellow marmot]] from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Cro-Marmot is always seen encased entirely in a large block of ice (except for the occasional character expansion). He was frozen back in the prehistoric era, and is stuck in a block of ice as a result. Despite this predicament, he can move and perform tasks, usually offscreen like Handy.

Because he is essentially immobile and mute when he is onscreen, Cro-Marmot is rarely focused on. Most of his appearances consist of cameos. He also rarely dies, and even half of the few deaths he has are debatable. The only time he was seen outside of his ice block is the ''Battle of the Multiverse Break'' episode “You're Cold!”, which is the very first episode in the series that stars Cro-Marmot.

[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/sonic_1.png]]
A blue [[FunnyAnimal Hegdehog]] from Creator/{{Sega}}'s lead franchise, ''Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog''. Sonic was the original mascot of ''Gory Toons'' and one of the four original characters who starred in the very first episode of the series. Faithful to his trademark since his inception, Sonic has the ability to run at a very fast speed. He is one of the few characters to be portrayed like their original counterpart accurately. Of course, {{flanderization}} still comes into play, as he frequently kills other characters in most episodes starring him. He's in a debate mini-series called "Chubby Short Hungry Aliens" where he antagonizes Mario.
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog
------
* BlueIsHeroic: Is a hero and has blue fur
* ConjoinedEyes: Doesn't stop his eyes from separating for occasional deaths.
* CowardlyLion: He is usually shown running away from various antagonists and hazards, even though he's more than capable of defending himself.
* DecoyProtagonist: Was initially the SeriesMascot and most prominent character. However, [=SpongeBob=] replaced his role.... severely.
* DemotedToExtra: After Season 6, Sonic's prominence quickly dwindled down, to the point of being considered a minor character. He outright stopped making frequent appearances as well.
* DirtyCoward: Nearly every episode starring Sonic has the blue rodent timorously dashing from a hazard or villain at the expense of his fellow bystanders.
* FatalFlaw: His recklessness. It has gotten himself and others killed.
* {{Flanderization}}: Sonic's cockiness has been exaggerated greatly. In his video games, Sonic was definitely arrogant to a degree and his attitude is a crucial setback that has placed him and his friends in a heap of trouble on a few occasions, but he was still relatively smart and knew when he needs to be serious. In ''Gory Toons'', Sonic is extremely impulsive and self-centered and he mainly puts his daily jogs above everybody else, even his own safety. This sort of recklessness has caused the deaths of others and his own several times.
* {{Foil}}: To Flaky. Sonic's headstrong and brave while Flaky is shy and cowardly.
* KarmicDeath: Whenever Sonic dies, he'll deserve it for his reckless behavior.
* LethalKlutz: Sonic's careless behavior has given him several kills. He might seem cool, but Sonic is evidently clumsy to a deadly extent.
* LovableCoward: However, you gotta love how cowardly he is. Running from bullets and stalking antagonists seems justifiable.
* NiceGuy: He's just a dude who wants everyone to have a good time.
* PricklyPorcupine: He's technically a hedgehog but his quills often cause the demise of other characters.
* RedOniBlueOni: The Red Oni With Flaky's Blue Oni. Funnily enough, their colors exactly match these two Onis as well, yet the colored Onis themselves have been swapped.
* TheRival: Against Mario, for obvious reasons.
* ShipTease: Yes, there's actually a decent amount of people who ship Flaky with Sonic. And this series seems to poke fun at that.
* SpikeShooter: His quills will occasionally launch off of his back, usually at either his or others' expense.
* SuperSpeed: While it varies greatly, this trait has surely stayed with Sonic.
* TemporarilyAVillain:
** In "You're Too Slow!", he is played as a troublemaking hedgehog who is infamous across town for his impulsive antics. He also recklessly kills Cub, which instigated a feud between him and Sonic.
** In the old "Chubby Short Hungry Aliens" spin-off, most animations have Sonic as the provoker in the fights between him and Mario.
** "Sonic‘s quest for the Chilly Dog shop" has Sonic be the protagonist who kills many other characters in the episode, basically while searching for an alleged "[[SeverelySpecializedStore Chilly Dog shop]]".
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Probably one of the few male examples. He is a [[BlueBoyPinkGirl blue]] MascotWithAttitude with a radical exterior.
* TooDumbToLive:
** In "Sonic Boom (But it's actually good)", he aimlessly runs off a cliff, leading him to unsurprisingly fall right to his death.
** In general, Sonic doesn't seem too aware of his surroundings, telling by "You're Too Slow!". Most particularly, he dashes into Cuddles and Toothy while they were playing with a match. Worst of all, in that situation, he looked at them while doing so and absolutely knew what he was getting himself into.
** For some reason, in "And It Just Fixs", Sonic drives his car ''off'' the road and into an obvious car crash.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Chilly dogs. So much so, that it is worth dying for.

[[folder:Lumpy]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/old_lumpy_z_3.png]]

-->Debut: Popcorn
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* ActionSurvivor: You'd be surprised on how many risky situations Lumpy managed to survive. For example, he survived a shoot-up by Elmer Fudd in "The Legendary Spatula", an ear screeching rant by [=SpongeBob=] in "Essay episode", a carnivore rampage by [=SpongeBob=] in "A normal [=SpongeBob=] episode", a murderous spree of Ned Flanders "Dial D For Diddly 2", and a zombie encounter by a zombified Cuddles in "Zombodie Told Me".
* AdultsAreUseless: Lumpy is one of the few characters who's never portrayed as a child when the plot requires it, but that doesn't make him any more competent or responsible.
* AntiRoleModel: Lumpy became more villainous in this series. It's possible that he is designed this way to serve as some sort of a "what not to do" character. Hardly works since most of the characters are assholes, however.
* AscendedExtra: While Lumpy was already one of the main characters before, his prominence has rapidly gotten large enough to overshadow several other of the ''Happy Tree Friend''s characters. One can argue that he is ''the'' representative of the aforementioned series that is in ''Gory Toons'', as he technically has the most screen time and development than a large majority of other Tree Friends [[note]]His comical cameos and occasional BigDamnHeroes or BigBad moments might have something to do with it[[/note]].
* AssholeVictim: Lumpy has been made inherently evil. Well, maybe not evil per se, but his antagonistic role has been treated rather as an actual defining character trait instead of a role Lumpy happens to take often. Thus, a further percent of his deaths fall under this category:
** In "A Lumpy way to the Hospital", after running over many innocent civilians with his ambulance, he and Handy are crushed to death by a massive brain.
** In "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", he is depicted as a [[DirtyCop horrendous cop who murders several guiltless people over selfish desires.]] Later on, his attempt to steal Patrick's donut bites him in the ass, where Lumpy is electrocuted and gets his nose blown open.
** In "Art(?)", he steals many artifacts from a museum for seemingly no reason other than being greedy. Later on, while driving his car inside the museum, he eventually crashes and gets turned into Taxidermy by Brian Griffin.
* BigBrotherInstinct: When the smaller Toons are in his care, he'll go to great lengths to try and protect them — even if he usually winds up killing them or himself in the process.
* BigEater: Lumpy is known for eating lots of foods. Sandwiches and meats are his particular favorites.
* TheBigGuy: Comparatively, Lumpy is actually the tallest character (or at least stands at the exact height as the other adults).
* BlueIsHeroic: Lumpy is a blue and well-intended moose.
* BodyPocket: Lumpy apparently has chest pockets in his fur.
* BornLucky: DependingOnTheWriter. Lumpy survives a lot of dangerous situations but he can also die the worst deaths.
* ButtMonkey: Lumpy's deaths are slower and more painful than others due to his strength and size. And while he has a high survival rate, he shares the highest amount of deaths with Pop among characters who rarely die.
* CatchPhrase: "Mm-hmm."
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass:
** Lumpy and Fliqpy have fought a few times in the series and in most of them, Lumpy actually wins!
** In "A normal [=SpongeBob=] episode", he spits a dart onto [=SpongeBob's=] filled stomach and defeats him, stopping his "[[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext voring rampage]]".
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Along with Sniffles and Kirby, he suffers some of the worst deaths. In "And It Just Fixs!", he crashes his car into a tree, gets crushed between the said tree and several other cars, gets launched into the air by the explosion of his car, has his lower half sliced off once he landed onto the ground, and gets impaled into the skull by a steering wheel.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "A Lumpy way to the Hospital", "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", and "Zombodie Told Me".
* TheDitz: Lumpy's stupidity is the driving force behind the plots of many episodes.
* FriendToAllChildren: When the characters are portrayed as children, he often plays with this trope.
* TheFool: Lumpy is among the clumsier and more gullible of the adult population, but to his credit, his survival rate is relatively decent.
* GeniusDitz: Despite being one of the dumbest characters in the show, he also ironically displays the most common sense.
* GentleGiant: Is technically the tallest Toon and often a very nice character.
* {{Greed}}: Lumpy has been this on a few occasions, especially in "Art(?)".
* IdiotHoudini: Several episodes have him being the accidental sole cause of the carnage that ensues but his luck tends to keep him alive. Most famously in "Pop Mate", where Lumpy is the cause of three separate deaths.
* KarmicDeath: A large portion of Lumpy's deaths relate to him doing something thoughtless, usually while on the job, and since he is portrayed as an antagonistic character more frequently, a bigger chunk of his deaths serve as an [[LaserGuidedKarma comeuppance]].
* KindheartedSimpleton: Whenever he's not an antagonist or a LethalKlutz, his true well-meaning nature emerges. He put his life on the line on several occasions to help others.
* TheKlutz: It goes without saying that Lumpy's clumsiness is a defining trait of his.
* LackOfEmpathy: He is moreover the villain in the series, so moments where he openly disregards another character's death occurs more frequently.
* LethalKlutz: His stupidity has still caused the majority of the characters' deaths.
* LethallyStupid: He ''is'' the TropeCodifier after all. His stupidity was already known for causing many deaths.
* MadeOfIron: Despite being one of the most unintelligent characters out of the Toons, he is the one who survives the most -- a more common occurrence is [[LethallyStupid "Too Dumb For Those Around Him To Live"]]. It seems to have a reason -- he is the tallest and probably strongest of the cast excluding Splendid and Kirby, so the times he doesn't die immediately, he often gets injured.
* {{Manchild}}: Frequently engages in child activities with the rest of the cast.
* MooseAreIdiots: Essentially the trope's codifier.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: Ranging from surgeon to police officer, Lumpy sticks out for the multitude of different jobs he has held, despite this trope being commonplace for essentially everybody in the series.
* NiceGuy: In most of his appearances, he's usually a well-intentioned guy.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: His expressions are not HTF-esque for obvious reasons.
* OutOfCharacterMoment: He plays the [[VillainProtagonist villain]] in a ton of episodes. Seriously, if you thought [=SpongeBob=] became out of character, you haven't seen Lumpy.
** An especially jarring example includes two separate scenes in "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", he killed two people just to take their food, while on the job as a police officer no less. The first scene had him literally tore open and mutilate Cub for a lollipop!
** And if '''''that''''' wasn't enough, there are various episodes that portrays Lumpy as competent, to the extent where he is unironically the hero.
** In ""Zombodie Told Me"", he does a sneak-attack on a vicious zombified Cuddles by smacking his head with a wooden club, which smashes his skull open, killing Cuddles. Knowing this lethal moose, you'd expect him to mistake a trick-or-treater as the zombie.
** In "A normal [=SpongeBob=] episode", Lumpy hides inside a bush alongside other survivors of [=SpongeBob=]'s cannibalistic rampage and shoots a tranquilizer dart at the latter's stomach, causing it to rupture and stop [=SpongeBob=]'s spree.
** On a rather frequent basis, Lumpy makes a fool out of Fliqpy (and on occasion, other villains) using wits as opposed to pure luck. In "Flippy's Rampage (And Mr. Krabs new bank machine)", he succeeds in apprehending Fliqpy and Mr. Krabs by tazing them both. Lumpy also once casually uppercuts Fliqpy's head off while he was running towards him in "Cub the prodigy bear".
* RunningGag:
** How many times did Lumpy get crushed?
** His strange [[TheCameo cameos]].
** On some occasions, Lumpy appears during the last second in an aprubt fashion to cause a plot element.
* ScreamsLikeALittleGirl: Lumpy speaks with a deep voice, but in his death throes and instances of torture, he has a high-pitched scream.
* SimpletonVoice: Lumpy speaks with a deep voice.
* TooDumbToLive: That trait surely stayed. His stupidity is a blatant hazard that proves detrimental for both others and himself.
* TemporarilyAVillain:
** In "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", where he kills many innocent people just to steal their belongings.
** In "Art(?)", he robs several artefacts from a museum.
* WeirdnessMagnet: Lumpy still has the habbit for attracting or involving himself into the weirdest situations possible and this time, it ''really'' is saying something, considering what type of web-series ''Gory Toons'' is. From [=SpongeBob=]'s ridiculous episode where he swallows everybody else, to casually being in the middle of Cuddles' zombification and killing spree, this moose is probably the most likely to endure the surreal events that regularly occurs in ''Gory Toons''.

[[folder:Petunia]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:269:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/12_49.png]]
A blue [[FunnyAnimal skunk]] from the web-franchise, ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. She debuted in the very first episode and has been one of the most prominent Toons since then.

-->Debut: Eggman's New Scheme
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AlphaBitch: Her personality has been renovated into this, either for [[JerkWithAHeartOfGold better]] or [[AxCrazy worse]].
* AsideGlance: She looks at the camera angrily several times in "Come Clean, Scumbag" due to the unhygienic town she lives in.
* BlueIsHeroic: A blue skunk who is one of the main protagonists.
* ButtMonkey: Even by the standards of this series, her deaths can be pretty brutal. She's also only survived a single starring role throughout the entire series ("Airport building madness").
* CuteAndPsycho: She is may look sweet but she is also murderous. For example, her resort to keeping cleanness is a rampage of death to the other citizens.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Come Clean, Scumbag"
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: Oddly, she went through the character development again. At first, she started out as a PaletteSwap of Giggles, except for her design; she would later grow into the extreme NeatFreak she is in the show.
* FlatCharacter: Before being given her NeatFreak personality, Petunia, as mentioned, was just another Giggles.
* FurryReminder: In "Splendid What Mondon't", upon witnessing Kirby's house having been caught on fire, Splendid uses Petunia as a pseudo-fire-extinguisher, aiming her buttocks right at the inflamed dome. Why you might ask? Well, afterward, Petunia released a massive fart at the house, [[NiceJobBreakingItHero which only intensifies the fire.]]
** In "Come Clean Scumbag" to a lesser extent. She attacks various denizens out of fear for their unhygienic shenanigans. Skunks are quite territorial and would attack if threatened. Later in the episode, she uses her tail to blow Homer away. While it was mostly because of wind, the usage of gas created by her tail as a defensive mechanism when provoked is suggested nonetheless.
* GirlyBruiser: Several episodes has Petunia intentionally mutilate another character, usually because of her OCD.
** In "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", [[MakesJustAsMuchSenseInContext she inexplicably consumes Brooklyn T. Guy while he was in a birthday cake.]]
** In "Giggles, Laughs, Rommance", she gets covered in glitter. SuperOCD mode is on. How does Petunia clean her glittery face? Well, she grabs Plankton and scrapes his jaw onto her face. Incongruously, this only creates another mess on her face, which is Plankton's smeared blood.
** In "Come clean, scumbag!", after becoming gradually fed up with everybody else's filthiness, she goes onto a murderous amok, killing several other characters in a rather extreme attempt to stay unblemished.
** In "Poor Pee Pee", she repeatedly pelts Chef Pee Pee with dogdeballs, likely just to show off to her friends. The first time she chucks one at him, he falls into several cooking untensils, which impales various areas of his body. After Chef Pee Pee had to painfully extract the appliances off his wounds, Petunia throws another ball at his face: This time, it obliterated his entire face.
* HeroesWantRedheads: Becomes an OfficialCouple with Handy, who's an orange beaver.
* HollywoodHeartAttack: In "Are you feeling it now, Mr. Krabs", upon seeing a Krabby Patty on the floor, she hyperventilates and collapses from a heart attack. This also marks the only heart attack so far in the entire series.
* InterspeciesRomance: With Handy, who's a beaver.
* KillerRabbit: She's a skunk who can kill.
* LovableAlphaBitch: Maybe rude on occasion and has killed on occasion, but looking past those flaws, Petunia's a nice gal.
* NeatFreak: She panics at the mere sight of dirt and filth.
* NiceGirl: Usually very friendly towards the other characters. When she isn't being a complete germaphobic scamp, that is.
* OfficialCouple: With Handy.
* SickeninglySweethearts: She and Handy have rather exaggerated interactions in ''Gory Toons''. Even [=SpongeBob=] and Cuddles were uncomfortable from this sight, that's saying something considering what [[CrazyJealousGuy types of boyfriends]] [[{{Yandere}} those characters are.]]
* SignatureHairDecs: She wears a pink [[MeaningfulName petunia]] on her head.
* SilentSnarker: Expresses disdain whenever Disco Bear attempts to hit on her as well at others' unhygienic habits.
* SmellySkunk: Subtly defied -- It has never been hinted that Petunia smells bad, but her five showers a day, the flower on her head, and the air freshener necklace ''may'' have something to do with that.
* SuperOCD: "Come Clean Scumbag" gratuitously showed us how bad it is. She will do anything to be clean, which means even ''killing other characters''.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: She has long eyelashes and a flower on her head.
* TrueBlueFemininity: Her fur is dark blue.
* TerrifiedOfGerms: She is constantly showering and freaks out whenever dirt gets on her.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The girly girl to Flaky's tomboy. Flaky doesn't look very feminine and once played soccer, while Petunia enjoys girly activities and loves to keep clean.
* TooDumbToLive: Being unintelligent and having OCD that has taken over her personality, she has been this a few times.

[[folder:Sniffles]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:204:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/snifflespretv_1.png]]
A brainy [[FunnyAnimal anteater]] from the infamous and controversial but successful ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Sniffles is a very geeky individual in the position as the local nerd. While Sniffles was a regular since day one, he was mostly yet another Tree Friend who was ready to perish in the early episodes, but he became a major character after "Sonic got Hacked". He has a knack for inventing machinery and constantly pursues a family of ants that'll always mutilate him in the end. Because of his plans’ tendency to backfire, Sniffles’ deaths are some of the most agonizing in the series.
-->Debut: Sonic's quest for the Chilly Dog shop
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AardvarkTrunks: Has a very expressive mouth at the bottom of his trunk.
* AndIMustScream: Sniffles is suffering even more of these moments.
** In "Lick Anto Enjoy", Sniffles is unwillingly put into torment as an intentional CosmicPlaything and he can do little to nothing about it.
** In "Sniffles and Droll: A clash of two geniuses", Sniffles has a flashback to previous AndIMustScream moments, including new ones, such as The Ants enacting execution by drowning onto the poor anteater. It's implied these events happen ''daily'' with no end.
* AscendedExtra: Was initially a simple background character from ''Happy Tree Friends'' lucky enough to get any acknowledgment. Starting with Season 2, Sniffles is established with his canonical personality and he slowly acquired larger and larger appearances as the series progresses. He's essentially another primary character.
* BeenThereShapedHistory: The episode "Sonic Got Hacked" exactly predicted Sonic's redesign, though he simply hacked into the system and altered Sonic's design rather than prompting the creators to change it themselves with criticism and backlash.
* BlueIsHeroic: In the episodes that don't feature the ants, he prefers to help out others.
* BullyingADragon: As this series clearly takes place after the TV Series, you would have thought Sniffles would've learned not to try and provoke the Ants, rights? NOPE.
* BunglingInventor: His inventions often backfire lethally on him and those around him due to design flaws or him using them unwisely.
* BreakoutCharacter: Was initially another filler character for the ''Happy Tree Friends'' franchise but is now the de facto twelfth lead star. As an addition, Sniffles starred in a multitude of supplementary material, episodes, and [=YouTube=] exclusive videos, one of which garnered a view count that reached the millions. Not to mention, the Happy Tree Toons Discord Server is filled to the brim with fans of Sniffles. Going so far, his prominence started to rival Pop's a bit.
* ButtMonkey: He has gone through some of ''' the''' most [[CruelAndUnusualDeath agonizing and horrifying deaths]] the show has to offer, has had [[MutilationConga some episodes entirely devoted to torturing him]], and is progressively put into several AndIMustScream scenarios.
* CatchPhrase: "Aha!"
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In the early seasons, he was a generic bookworm once again who did nothing more than simply having a fondess towards math equations. In his spotlight episodes, he doesn't invent any form of machinery and instead, was characterized as the persistent anteater. The seventh season opener "Lick Anto Enjoy" gives him back his signature talent of inventing complex machines that constantly backfire at his own and/or others' expense.
* ColdBloodedTorture: He falls victim to this whenever the ants are involved.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Happens to him a lot, even by ''Happy Tree Friends'' standards. His most famous death is in the episode, "Lick Anto Enjoy", where an ant stabs his eye with a pair of scissors, sets a bomb at him, and tricks an E-beam into ramming into him [[AndIMustScream while being subjected unwillingly the whole time]].
* CuteBookworm: Though a geeky anteater, Sniffles is quite adorable.
* ADayInTheLimelight: Several episodes, he is in the spotlight on a routined basis. Special mention goes to "Link Anto Enjoy".
* {{Determinator}}: He STILL tries to eat the ants.
* DisproportionateRetribution: Sniffles himself gets this whenever he tries to eat the ants. Granted, fatally eating them is pretty bad, but the torture they inflict on him in return is very painful and prolonged.
* EvilVersusEvil: He is usually the aggressor to the ants, but since the ants' launch ''massive'' DisproportionateRetribution against him, he is easily the lesser of two evils.
* GadgeteerGenius: Of course.
* HoistByHisOwnPetard: Damn near all of his creations have completely backfired on him in one way or another.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: When he's cast as the villain (usually when up against the Ants) expect little to no success on his part.
* MadScientist: Sometimes he gets a bit crazy whilst inventing things.
* MisappliedPhlebotinum: He manages to create a potion, only to have a quiet sip.
* MisplacedWildlife: He's a South American anteater put in an American city.
* NerdGlasses: Complete with tape to hold the lenses together.
* OddFriendship: You would think [[CartoonCreature Kirby]] would be some sort of scientific test for Sniffles but no.
* SixthRanger: Becomes the TheSmartGuy after "Sonic got Hacked", but was eventually replaced with Mr. Portal in "Beach Party". Rather than disappearing back into obscurity (like his own replacement, Mr. Portal), Sniffles continues to hold a prominent place in the show. Sniffles is basically right next to the eleven main protagonists in terms of prominence, obtaining spotlight episodes regularly, engaging in various B-plots, and interacting with the trio frequently. He is basically operating as the unofficial "twelfth main character" (and, since Kirby is hardly relevant to most stories he's in, probably should count higher).
* TheSmartGuy: Usually, he's seen as the nerd by his peers.
* ThrowTheDogABone: He managed to eat an ant in "Krabby Mascot".
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Ants, even though he's only been able to successfully eat one during the course of the series. [[SuperPersistentPredator Still, hasn't learned after 10 years]].
* TongueTrauma: Due to his long tongue, Sniffles has had ''a lot'' of tongue-related injuries.
* ToothyBird: Real-life anteaters are toothless, but Sniffles definitely has teeth.
* VillainProtagonist: In the episodes with the Ant family, he is shown as the villain.

[[folder:Handy]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/handyinpanicfallinghs33.png]]
An orange [[FunnyAnimal beaver]] with amputated hands from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Handy has debuted in the very first episode, has starred on his own in the very second episode, and has been a very significant character ever since.

Whenever he fails at a task, becomes irritated, or remembers he doesn't have hands, he will pull his trademark look of a frustrated glance towards the camera. He despises both [=SpongeBob=] and Cuddles with a passion, as the two annoy him relentlessly and are responsible for most of his deaths. Handy is also generally bitter and has a tendency of being indifferent to the deaths around him, even cheering and mocking someone else’s demise.
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
-----
* AllTheOtherReindeer: He has been killed, ignored, insulted, or abused.
* AntiHero: Putting it lightly. By default, Handy is presented as on the side of good, but Handy is constantly shown expressing glee at another character's misfortune.
* AntiVillain: While not outright a villain, his occasional antagonistic side is understandable, as the show treats him like ''the'' [[TheChewToy Chew Toy]].
* AmbiguousDisorder: He is a sociopath who loves the pain of other characters. It's not even just because of a FreudianExcuse or a simple diagnosis of TheSociopath. He seems to ''live'' off others' pain.
* AsideGlance: Once he realizes he does not have hands or tries to do something that requires hands, he will glare into the camera...
* AssholeVictim: His ButtMonkey is partially deserved, considering he's a sadistic douche.
* BehindTheBlack: Whenever he successfully does something that requires hands, it's almost always done off-camera.
* BreakingTheFourthWall: Whenever he gets frustrated over his lack of hands, he turns to the camera and snarls.
* ButtMonkey: A recurring joke is his status as the series Butt-Monkey, which usually results in him being humiliated, pestered, lonely, or severely injured. These particular traits render Handy unluckier than most other characters, which includes [[TheyKilledKennyAgain Kirby]], [[TheChewToy Homer Simpson]], and [[AndIMustScream Sniffles]]. There's also the fact that he has one of the lowest survival rates in the series, alongside having one of the highest death rates. Take, for example, "Eggman's new scheme" where he is the only non-villainous character that dies in the episode.
* CosmicPlaything: The entire universe dedicated itself to tormenting Handy, which is absolutely saying something.
* ComicTrio: Is the OnlySaneMan to [=SpongeBob=]'s TheLeader and Cuddles' TheFool.
* CrankyNeighbor: Handy is an easily irritable beaver who would occasionally reside in [=SpongeBob=]'s and/or Cuddles' home area.
* CruelAndUnusualDeath: Like Lumpy, his torment and abuse exceed the majority of the cast. Usually, he suffers multiple painful injuries and would take extremely grievous misery before he finally dies. Episodes like "And It Just Fixs!” are glaring examples of this.
* TheCynic: If he wasn't furious, then he's likely wearing a negative expression. Honestly, you couldn't fault him too much, as both of his arms were amputated.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Handy's a handy guy", "Stuck in a Construction", "Handy gets crushed", and "Not so Handy Instructor".
* DeathGlare: Often makes this face when he can't do something because of being without hands.
* DependingOnTheWriter:
** He can vary between being a sympathetic CosmicPlaything who's just the epitome of Tree Friends to an outright {{Jerkass}} who actually deserves his ButtMonkey status.
** His feelings toward [=SpongeBob=] and Cuddles. Depending on the episode, he is a JerkWithAHeartOfGold who has been inclined to be friendly towards them or a sociopath who thrives on any pain and embarrassment ''anyone'' would suffer.
* DistressedDude: In "Kirby Hardcore", where he was falling to his doom after the powerline he was holding onto snapped. Thankfully Splendid rescued him... by unwittingly strangling him to death by said powerline.
* TheEeyore: Handy is always looking down with a depressed expression because of his disability.
* EvenEvilHasStandards:
** He's never laughed at the death of Petunia, The Mole, or Cub.
** Even he was terrified of the carnage [=SpongeBob=] caused in "Not so handy instructor".
* FieryRedhead: It's not difficult to annoy this orange beaver.
* {{Flanderization}}: Handy's occasional streak of not caring about another character's gruesome fate, particular tendecy for having relatively panned out demises, and general moments where he is pulling his trademark grumpy expression has crowded out his other character traits in ''Gory Toons''. Namely, whenever Handy appears in an episode, he will probably first appear with a grumpy expression, or if Handy's feeling really unlucky, would make an appearance only to suffer.
* {{Foil}}: His intelligence and grumpiness make him the polar opposite of [=SpongeBob=].
* FreudianExcuse: He has no hands and a ''low'' survival rate. Not to mention, [=SpongeBob=] and Cuddles bother him to no end.
* IronicName: A beaver named Handy who lacks hands.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: Not a villain but while Handy is a very sour individual, you have to sympathize with him. He doesn't have hands and his survival rate is just awful.
* InterspeciesRomance: With Petunia, who's a skunk.
* GleefulAndGrumpyPairing: With [=SpongeBob=].
* GrumpyBear: He's easy to aggravate, mainly because of his disabilities.
* HairTriggerTemper: Man, this orange beaver has a temper.
* {{Jerkass}}: Handy gets a kick out of others' misfortune and deaths. However, considering how the world treats this handless beaver on a regular basis, he earns some pity.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: At times. He sometimes displays a polite attitude and has reasoned with [=SpongeBob=] on a few occasions.
* JerkWithAHeartOfJerk: Shows this side of himself from time to time. For example, in "Pop Mate", he's the only witness of the person's death who has a smile on his face, to the extent that it seems like he is laughing hysterically about the notorious find.
* KarmaHoudini: On rare occasions, Handy has gotten off scot-free after laughing at a character's death or corpse. A jarring example has every other ButtMonkey suffering a noticeably brutal death, yet Handy himself suffers no demise, even though he openly mocked a discovered corpse in "Pop's Mate".
* KickTheDog: Demonstrated through several moments of enjoyment, unsympathy, or relishment towards the suffering of another Toon.
* LackOfEmpathy: "The Reboot Trailer" and "Valentines is near!" show that he rarely ever feels sympathy or grief when other characters die or get injured (with a few exceptions being The Mole and Petunia). He suffers a KarmicDeath in both episodes.
* LaserGuidedKarma: After laughing at the deaths of fellow bystanders, it is certain that Handy will suffer a gruesome demise himself.
* LonersAreFreaks: Handy is usually seen alone and isolated from social contact. Even so, Handy is either defined as a grumpy amputee who rarely smiles, a meanspirited beaver who is sometimes downright hostile, an unempathetic person who would laugh at another character's death, or an sorrow magnet for abuse, slapstick, and pain all around.
* MrFixIt: He is portrayed as a construction worker without hands. Yet he manages to perform tasks that require them.
* NiceHat: Wears a hard hat. It has protected him from serious injury and death on a few occasions.
* NeverBareheaded: So far what he looks like under his hard hat hasn't been revealed.[[note]] We do actually see what's under his hat for a few frames, where it is shown that he lacks ears. Although, he is also shown to have visible ears in "Summer is Heated", the only episode where he isn't seen wearing his hard hat at all.[[/note]]
* NonIndicativeName: His name is Handy, but he has no hands.
* NotSoAboveItAll:
** Comparatively, Handy isn't as brash or TooDumbToLive as the other Toons, but even he has his moments. Sometimes, Handy doesn't even bother to escape impending hazards clearing running straight at him, he does show rather uncollected episodes that are relatively on par with [=SpongeBob=]'s, and he would outright assist the simpleminded adults in fads or rallies in some occurrences, like in "Bearly Caring" for example.
** Handy might seem tame compared to everybody else, but he commits antagonistic deeds as well, like building a wall with the intention of killing Sonic in "You're Too Slow!" or having absolute joy from witnessing Cuddles and Giggles' deaths in "Valentines is near!".
* OfficialCouple: With Petunia.
* OnlySaneMan: Aside from [[LackOfEmpathy not showing commiseration for another character's pain]], Handy is relatively down-to-earth and wise than most of his fellow Tree Friends.
* PerpetualFrowner: Exaggerated in ''Gory Toons''. Handy is commonly pissed off for seemingly no reason.
* PetTheDog:
** In "Not so Handy Instructor", he was rather friendly towards [=SpongeBob=], even encouraging him throughout his driving lesson. What's more, Handy was genuinely terrified of the reckless decimation [=SpongeBob=] has caused.
** In "Bearly Caring", he displays genuine concern for the safety of children, as he partakes in the activism rally and seems to be one of the more furious activist members, especially considering the message of his shirt aggressively written suggestion.
* {{Sadist}}: It's more obvious here that Handy is TheSociopath.
* SilentSnarker: Would easily be the fittest to say something sarcastic if he could.
* TheSociopath: Except for Petunia and The Mole (because they're close to him), he doesn't really care or at least isn't fazed by any deaths happening to the other characters around him.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Handy has a fairly high appearance count and a good number of spotlight episodes, which makes sense, considering he is [=SpongeBob=]'s main {{foil}} besides Cartman.
* SurroundedByIdiots: In a world where everybody is either a crowning example of [[TheDitz Ditz]] and AdultsAreUseless, Handy seems to be one of the few intellectuals.
* TookALeveLInJerkass: In ''Happy Tree Friends'', he was simply apathetic because of his own survival at the expense of others. In ''Gory Toons'', he is openly exhilarated by another character's death..
* VibrantOrange: {{Subverted}}. Handy, an orange beaver, is one of the cast's grumpiest and unluckiest, even when the violence is not taken into account.

[[folder:Nutty]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:323:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/nutty_sitting.png]]
A hyperactive green [[FunnyAnimal squirrel]] from the show ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Nutty, as he was in the original franchise he hailed from, is absolutely addicted to everything sweet and sugary. Said addiction for confectionery also makes him act callously at the expense of others, and sometimes himself. He is JTMONEYSMASHBROSBOB's favorite HTF character.
-->Debut: Sonic's quest for the Chilly Dog shop
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AssholeVictim: Depending on the episode. He's not always a {{Jerkass}} to others, but when he is, expect him to die in the end.
* AxCrazy: Not to Flippy's level, but he still has his moments. He has killed people for candy.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Non-villainous example. Nutty is not always taken seriously by the other characters due to his sugar addiction. There are, however, multiple times where he has killed another character deliberately.
* BigEater: Has a huge appetite, mainly towards sugar.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Nuttin Better Than Candy" and "Oh, Sugar!".
* CurtainsMatchTheWindow: His colored eye matches his green fur.
* CuteAndPsycho: An adorable squirrel who has killed people.
* {{Determinator}}: Even when he's dying, he'll always try to get loads of candy.
* TheDitz: As a result of his candy addiction, he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer. He often manages to come off as even dumber than Lumpy, who can at least generally tell what is and isn't food.
* DissonantLaughter: He sometimes laughs while he dies.
* DoesNotLikeSpam: Telling by his reaction to eating one in the aptly named "Nutty tries a lemon", [[{{Understatement}} he does not like lemons.]]
* ExtremeOmnivore: He'll eat anything that ''vaguely'' resembles candy, from small toys to even other characters just because they have something sweet in their pockets.
* TheFriendNobodyLikes: Several instances show that the characters view him as an annoyance or a bother of some sort, even by [=SpongeBob=].
* GreenAndMean: Nutty can be pretty selfish, and his fur is green.
* GRatedDrug: Consuming anything sugary, [[ICantBelieveItsNotHeroin sometimes in tiny amounts]], will send Nutty bouncing off the walls. Prolonged periods without sugar will send Nutty into withdrawal symptoms, becoming irritable and mentally imbalanced.
* TheHyena: He's always laughing, even when dying.
* {{Jerkass}}: He will prioritize his insatiable sugar addiction over the lives of others and even of himself.
* KarmaHoudini: Even though it is basically a rule for Nutty to die whenever he acts like a {{Jerkass}}, there are a few times where he has gotten off scot-free while killing another character due to his addiction. For example, he has eaten Stewie Griffin and Homer Simpson just because he noticed something (or at least what he perceives to be) sweet on their bodies.
* KarmicDeath: A huge portion of his deaths are well deserved. One good example is "Oh, Sugar!", where his torso is impaled after he spends the episode harassing and assaulting Toothy over his lollipop.
* {{Keet}}: Highly hyperactive; it must be because of his sugar intake.
* LaughingMad: Even when in pain, suffering, or ''dying'' he will intersperse giggling with groaning and screaming.
* MeaningfulName: His name says it all -- he's as nutty as a squirrel's breakfast.
* NiceGuy: As long as nobody gets in the way of his candy or video games, he's a friendly guy.
* OffWithHisHead: He has his head smacked off by an anvil in "The beginning of the start".
* ScrewballSquirrel: A squirrel who's - as the name suggests - about as nutty as a bag of peanuts.
* TheSociopath: There are times where Nutty will endanger the lives of, not only himself, but the people around him as well, and he doesn't seem to care when his actions get them killed.
* SkewedPriorities: Even in times of duress, he will go back to get candy. It often results in his deaths.
* SweetTooth: A whole mouthful of 36 and then some.
* TooDumbToLive: Many of his deaths could have been avoided if he would learn to prioritize his own well-being over a handful of candy.
** For some reason, he believed that the old saying “[[YouWouldntHitAGuyWithGlasses You wouldn’t hit a guy with glasses]]” would’ve made a bloodthirsty Cuddles spare him in “Zombodie Told Me. He definitely [[{{Pun}} saw that it wouldn’t.]]
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Anything sugary. Specifically, whenever he's at his most decadent, he's usually shown eating straight from a big bag of the stuff.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: A selfish squirrel who cares more about sweets than everyone else's well being.
* VillainProtagonist: In "Oh, Sugar!", where he assaults Toothy for a lollipop.
* VerbalTic: That lip-smacking sound he makes whenever he comes across candy.

[[folder:Patrick Star]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bart_simpson_20_12.png]]
A dimwitted [[FunnyAnimal pink starfish]] from the show ''[[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarePants Spongebob SquarePants]]''. Patrick Star is [=SpongeBob=]'s best friend and commonly plays the role as his sidekick whenever Cuddles is not featured in a designated episode. He is one of the physically tallest characters and doesn't the share the commonly reused expressions shared amongst the other Toons. Despite his goofy demeanor, he can from time to time take a role as yet another everyman for the series.

Patrick has a tendency to behave antagonistically at times. The series often refer to the out-of-characters moments as "Multiple Identify Disorder". Relating to the trend of causing decimation, Patrick is notorious for his stupidity. That, along with his spasmodic malice grants him one of the highest kill counts on the show. Notably, Patrick is one of the characters to always be portrayed as an adult. While he dies relatively often, his tendencies to evade sudden deaths makes him survive pretty often.
-->Debut: You Broke Our Business
-->Franchise: [[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarePants Spongebob SquarePants]]
----
* AdaptationalVillainy: Patrick rather fulfills a role of an antagonist in this series in most of his appearances, which is especially noticeable when he's the lead character.
* AmbiguousDisorder: In ''Gory Toons'', Patrick has the added trait of suffering from Dissociative identity disorder (DID). This explains a lot of mood swings and vile acts that are out of character even for the Post-Movie Patrick. However, why had his mental health received such a massive downfall is not known, and many theories can be concluded about this new personality.
* AxCrazy: He is prone to random fits of violence and insanity whenever something upsets him, and sometimes not even that's necessary. His introduction in the Reboot era literally had the pink homicide suddenly erupt into towering rage and murder somebody off-screen.
* BewareTheNiceOnes: He might be lighthearted at first, but get on his bad side and he'll kill!
* BewareTheSillyOnes: Patrick can go from stupid to vile in a snap.
* BigEater: He loves eating. He has even [[ImAHumanitarian eaten other characters.]]
* BigFun: When he's not playing the antagonist, he can be a well-meaning guy.
* TheBigGuy: Is one of the taller and fatter characters.
* BumblingSidekick: Whenever Cuddles isn't around, Patrick is there to help the main character (mainly [=SpongeBob=]) out, though he can be just as useless.
* ButtMonkey: He suffers a lot of [[UndignifiedDeath Undignified Deaths]], although not to the same level as Sniffles or Kirby. A good example would be the episode "Giggles, Laughs, and Romance", where he gets one of the most embarrassing deaths of getting stabbed by flowers that are the same color as the ones on his shorts, and "Essay Episode", where his brain explodes (And it's one of the few deaths that is seen within the episode as well as being the most graphic.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Back then, he was simply another Lumpy and showed no sociopathic traits or mood swings. Later on, Patrick became a murderer with a [[HairTriggerTemper frightening temper]].
* CrouchingMoronHiddenBadass: On the surface, it may seem like the same old Patrick, but really, he's a power-house with SuperStrength, [[GeniusDitz some occasional underhand tactics]], and a high kill-count.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Magic Star", "The night of the Starfish", "Patrick, that's another meme", and "Star of the Show".
* DependingOnTheWriter:
** His level of stupidity. At times, he's a GeniusDitz who tends to ironically serve as one of the show's OnlySaneMan (Usually, it is typically because the other characters often make Patrick look like a genius in comparison). In others, he's so stupid that he could be considered legally challenge.
** How much of a jerk he can be. At times, he has a complete LackOfEmpathy and is a VillainProtagonist, while other times, he's a JerkWithAHeartOfGold.
* TheDitz: He is an imbecilic starfish.
* DumbMuscle: An simpleton who's proven to be physically superior to his fellow Toons.
* EvilCounterpart: Having many similarities to his best friend [=SpongeBob=], in substance, Patrick becomes this whenever he acts as the villain.
* FatBastard: Characterization-wise.
* FatIdiot: Patrick in a nutshell.
* {{Flanderization}}: Patrick was fairly street smart and while he had his moments, he wasn't a complete douche or anything. Here, his worst traits have amped UpToEleven.
* TheFool: Like [=SpongeBob=], his survival rate is relatively decent.
* FurryReminder: In "The night of the Starfish", he is given the ability to use an extra appendage that ejects from his mouth (presumably his esophagus).
* InsufferableImbecile: His sheer dumb little starfish brain is frequently the instantiator for massacres to happen.
* JerkassBall: Patrick seems to have fun with his ball, as he is commonly a psychotic menace whenever he plays an antagonistic role.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Of course, when he's a NiceGuy, [[ExactlyWhatItSaysOnTheTin he really is a nice guy.]] He tends to be very supportive of his friends, and he is just as inclined to be the same KindheartedSimpleton he is on the show.
* IdiotHoudini: Sometimes, Patrick can get away with his lethal tomfoolery that comes at the expense of another character's life. In "Patrick, that's another meme", he downright shoots [=SpongeBob=] with a gun, and is given the opportunity to leave unpunished.
* ImAHumanitarian: Like Mr. Krabs, he typically cannibalize his victims, such as Kirby in "Hyper-Activities".
* KarmaHoudini: He is a bigger candidate of the trope than [=SpongeBob=] himself. Whenever Patrick has killed someone and something, he's not as much an easy target to mutilate as you might think. Many episodes even belittle the mere concept of Patrick acuminating at least one injury, Not even a slap on the wrist.
* {{Keet}}: Not to the extent of [=SpongeBob=], but he can still be pretty hyperactive. Some episodes, like "Flippin' What?" really shows this.
* LackOfEmpathy: Sometimes, he has ''no'' remorse for the person whose demise he has caused, either by accident or intentional harm.
* LethallyStupid: Basically a dumber version of Lumpy, just minus the antlers. Patrick is responsible for many deaths in the series, especially in the episodes where he is the protagonist. Usually, his general reckless behavior alongside his clueless demeanor is the kickstarter for the deaths of the characters around him.
* LiteralMinded: He takes the above trope to actual definition for example.
* {{Manchild}}: Unlike [=Spongebob=], Patrick is never portrayed as a child. Despite that, Patrick acts very immaturely.
* NonStandardCharacterDesign: Unlike most other characters, Patrick's pupils doesn't become pie-shaped whenever he is startled and he has a singular upper-tooth in the place of the periodic overbite.
* ObfuscatingStupidity: It appears to be one of Patrick's main personalities.
* OddFriendship: With Sonic, as seen in "Stuck in a Construction".
* PredatorPreyFriendship: [[WorldOfJerkass And look]] [[SadistShow at the show]] [[{{Gorn}} your watching.]]. Sometimes, this is PlayedStraight, others, it's {{Deconstructed}}, and heck on a few occasions, it's outright {{Averted}}. PredatorsAreMean often comes to play as well.
* PsychopathicManchild: A dull starfish who has a tendency to burst into ebullitions for minuscule reasons, which consequently leads to many casualties.
* StoutStrength: Patrick might be chubby, but many episodes demonstrated that this starfish can obtain an extremely high killcount with his strength alone. In "The beginning of the start", it was implied that he beaten somebody to death with his barehands. The result afterwards? A huge stain of blood... And an '''''[[EyeScream entire eyeball.]]'''''
* StrongAsTheyNeedToBe: He ranges from having high durability to being fragile. Also, Patrick has the capability of tearing bone and flesh with his bare hands, but he is defenseless on occasions.
* TemporarilyAVillain:
** In "The night of the Starfish", where he is a predator who feasts on his victims.
** In "Star of the Show", he steals Elmer Fudd's gun and shots up many characters with it.
* TooDumbToLive: Not surprisingly, as it is [[TheDitz Patrick]].
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: An immature serial-killer starfish.
* WithFriendsLikeThese: At times, he's a complete jerk to his friends. He willingly slaughters [=SpongeBob=], Bart, and Homer in "The night of the Starfish", runs over Nutty in "Stuck In A Construction", heavily mutilates Sonic, Cuddles, and [=SpongeBob=] while performing magic tricks on them in "Magic Star", so on.
* WoobieDestroyerOfWorlds: Patrick is a suffering soul of Multiple-Identifidies-Disorder. So, his kills are rather tragic if it wasn't PlayedForLaughs.

[[folder:Squidward Tentacles]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:255:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/untitled_9_00.png]]
A grumpy [[FunnyAnimal octopus]] from ''[[WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarePants Spongebob SquarePants]]''. Squidward is such a sour cephalopod who hates everybody as usual. Not helping matters is the bad luck he wields in the television show he debuted from, which is definitely utilized in ''Gory Toons'' with the new addition of death and gore. Squidward is [=SpongeBob=]'s next-door neighbor and a cashier at the Krusty Krab.
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/SpongebobSquarepants
----
* AllOfTheOtherReindeer: The world seems to hate him more all because this is a SadistShow.
* AntiHero: A grumpy protagonist.
* ApatheticClerk: He still loathes his cashier job at the Krusty Krab and treats the customers with contempt.
* AssholeVictim: DependingOnTheWriter - as sometimes his miserable CosmicPlaything status is exaggerated with him being yet another character who's just minding his own business. However, if Squidward dies in an episode centered around him, he will usually deserve it for being a douche bag to everyone.
* BaldOfEvil: During his most evil and meanest moments, such as assaulting and killing The Mole with a hammer.
* BigThinShortTrio: The Thin to Mr. Krabs' Big and [=SpongeBob=]'s Short.
* ButtMonkey: Prone victim of mutilation. It's no surprise as Squidward is already a butt-monkey in his respective franchise. Speaking of which, he also retains his role as the resident [[TheChewToy Chew Toy]].
* TheComicallySerious: Having a rather normal personality in the farcical world of ''Gory Toons''.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "HAVE A BOWL MR. SQUIDWARD!" and "Shut up Meg!"
* DeadpanSnarker: He's prone to being snarky and sarcastic.
* ADogNamedCat: You already know by now; he's not a squid, but an octopus.
* DreadfulMusician: It is actually one of the many unexpected hazards that ends up killing the characters, if "Stuck in a Construction" is anything to go by.
* DrearyHalfLiddedEyes: His default expression, showing his constant air of annoyance and indifference.
* ExoticEyeDesigns: He has rectangular red pupils.
* {{Foil}}: He is one of the many foils to [=SpongeBob=]'s optimism, kind-nature, and naive personality, and is definitely the original one.
* FourTemperamentEnsemble: The Melancholic. He's ill-tempered, tends to be overly critical, and is insecure at times.
* {{Flanderization}}: His ButtMonkey status has been worsened to mutilating proportions.
* FunnyOctopus: Squidward is as much as a victim or volunteer to the sheer randomness.
* GrumpyBear: Provides the trope's image.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: Only wears a shirt and no pants.
* IneffectualSympatheticVillain: He's an antagonistic character in this series just like everyone else, but his bad luck and him constantly being harassed by [=SpongeBob=] and Patrick make him in particular quite sympathetic.
* {{Jerkass}}: Can be this.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: He is a protagonist who is willing to fight on the side of good. Baring that, from a general character perspective, it is shown that he cares for others from time to time.
* KarmicButtMonkey: This excuse can still be applied to a SadistShow like ''Gory Toons''. His bad luck and lack of respect from his peers steer from a well-deserved result of his own narcissism and IrrationalHatred of everyone and everything. Of course, then again, {{Flanderization}} kicked in, and his hatred for everyone is slightly more reasonable, if still a bit [[{{Hypocrite}} Hypocritical]], as Squidward becomes one of the biggest [[ButtMonkey Butt-Monkeys]] on the show with barley any fault of his own. Really, the most efficient example that justifies his occurring position of being a causality is "HAVE A BOWL MR. SQUIDWARD!".
* TheLancer: To Mr. Krabs, though it didn't save him from old man Krabs' serial killing rampages. Case in point, he's often seen in adventures with Krabs when the latter isn't portrayed as a murderer. On the opposite side of the spectrum, Mr. Krabs often brings Squidward into various plans and schemes.
* LaserGuidedKarma: His horrific luck and horrid deaths are usually considered justified because of his {{Jerkass}} attitude. However, one could still make the case that Squidward's awful luck also stems from the show loving to grotesquely harm its innocent pop-cultured icons.
* LeanAndMean: Sometimes. He's very skinny and often unpleasant.
* NonActionGuy: Is not as often shown performing the cartoonish or adventitious feats of athleticism the rest of the cast are and generally seems to be pretty unathletic.
* NonstandardCharacterDesign: Many characters are made to look cute, or at least marketable. Squidward is less so.
* OnlySaneMan: Squidward is more rational than most characters on this show.
* OnlySaneByComparison: However, at the same time, while he's usually the most reasonable and rational character on the show, he's still prone to bursting out into an amok killing spree, has occasionally been portrayed as dim-witted, is sometimes reckless to a fault, and of course, he is certainly not without his own flaws, like being selfish, rude, stubborn, and lazy.
* PerpetualFrowner: Unlike other characters, who smile while in a neutral expression, Squidward has a constant frown.
* PhraseCatcher: "MR. SQUIDWARD!" in particular. [[FountainOfMemes You'll probably guess why.]]
* SanitySlippage: He has his moments of being insane or mentally unbalanced, such as resorting to murder, going onto rampages, acting extremely cocky, etc.
* SourOutsideSadInside: Squidward is a massive grouch, but only because his life is so miserable, working a thankless minimum-wage job and living next door to his endlessly annoying neighbor while being one of the universe's biggest targets, with loads of arrows made for specifically them.
* StrawLoser: Really, his low survival rate, grotesque deaths, and substantial misfortune makes [=SpongeBob=], Cuddles, and even Kirby look lucky in comparison.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Almost every other character are mentally detached from reality, with really only a few exceptions, and even then, they aren't exactly flawless themselves. Only Sharon seems to be the only other person with rational sense.
* ThoseTwoGuys: Sometimes paired with Mr. Krabs, as they're both adults compared to [=SpongeBob=] and Cuddles.
* ThrowTheDogABone: On such occasions, Squidward would be unharmed, and on really ''rare'' occasions, he'll be uninconvenienced. Take 2020's Christmas special for example, where he plays a significant role in the episode with full dialogue and everything, essentially acting as the voice for the parents' motivations, and he was not harmed at all.
* TookALevelInJerkass: Well for starters, Squidward wouldn't resort to First-Degree murder!

[[folder:Brooklyn T. Guy]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1200px_mr_krabssvg_1_1_2.png]]
A sarcastic man from Brooklyn from the web-parody ''WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan''. Of course, Brooklyn Guy is known as the person with many jobs, though it is essentially commonplace for every character. However, his most frequent occupation is working as a part-time police officer. Brooklyn Guy has a somewhat inconsistent personality, but his usual depictions show him as not the brightest bulb. Otherwise, he is given a self-centered demeanor, acts a little snarky, and seems to be rather vulnerable, as many other Toons have overpowered him easily.
-->Debut: It's An Alaskan Bull Worm!
-->Franchise: WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan
----
* AscendedExtra: He hasn't been heard of since his first appearance, but he returned for the ''Easter'' special and is now a recurring character.
* BadCopIncompetentCop: He is a very sucky cop.
* BigBadDuumvirate: With Sheila at times.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: Originally, he was TheStraightMan who had little personality besides having the same old stick of getting a NewJobAsThePlotDemands. Modern episodes give him a more sarcastic and expressive personality.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Following his first appearance, he didn't appear in another episode, until the episode "Can you find the Easter Egg", which was published in one of the last seasons of the prototype era.
* ADayInTheLimelight: "OH NO! IT's THE POPO!"
* DeadpanSnarker: It's still Brooklyn Guy for crying out loud.
* CluelessDeputy: Outsmarting him or escaping him isn't difficult at all.
* DirtyCop: Sometimes, he is antagonistic as a police officer.
* EveryoneHasStandards: While he is ordinarily nonchalant when confronted with the dead remains of another individual and almost never gives empathy towards the victims whose's deaths he is completely responsible for, even he was disturbed by the moms' brutal protest in "I Don’t Approve of Violence… Wait, This is Kinda Meta!".
* FatAndSkinny: With Sheila.
* IWasBeatenByAGirl: More like SwallowedWhole by a girl. He was inexplicitly eaten by Petunia while also hiding in a cake somehow in "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!". [[ItMakesSenseInContext It's a long story...]]
* HisNameReallyIsBarkeep: It's his name. Brooklyn T. Guy. Brooklyn Guy. It's practically a human example of ADogNamedDog.
* {{Hypocrite}}: He arrests Mario on false charges of child abuse (among other things) yet he had no qualms for running over Cuddles with his police car nor did he ever call out Lumpy for killing Cub.
* IdiotBall: Like all characters, Brooklyn Guy is very prone to catching this ball. What doesn't help is his already immature and somewhat dimwitted personality.
* {{Jerkass}}: He is an immature brat and a corrupted police officer who has a tendency to act selfishly and rather recklessly. Also, as seen in "Popping me out" and "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!", he'll sometimes refuse to help others out.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: Despite occasionally being a jerk, he sometimes acts as a decent guy. And really, he's a NiceGuy there and through, mostly as MrViceGuy.
* {{Manchild}}: He rivals Peter Griffin, Pop, and Randy Marsh in immaturity for a full-grown adult.
* MouseTrap: He plants one in his debut appearance.
* NewJobAsThePlotDemands: While this trope now applies to most of the cast, this is a defining trait of Brooklyn Guy.
* OddFriendship: With Sheila. Brooklyn Guy is calm, sarcastic, and selfish, while Sheila is very fierce, serious, and moral.
* OnlySaneMan: If Mario's not the sane DeadpanSnarker, then it's Brooklyn Guy.
* PoliceBrutality: He killed Handy and Cuddles in "OH NO! IT'S THE POPO!".
* PoliceAreUseless: Brooklyn Guy is not very competent at his occupation, if at all. Even putting aside the unethical deeds he has perpetrated while on the job, he will allow a crime or tragedy to occur and effectuate no attempt to stop it. Even worse, he wouldn't even put up much of a fight when he does confront the criminal and often undergoes having his ass easily handed to him.
* RedOniBlueOni: Blue to Sheila's Red.
* TinyGuyHugeGirl: With Sheila. Brooklyn Guy seems to be vertically challenged, likely measured as 4'3. Sheila is pudgy and squat, but Brooklyn Guy's height reaches much lower than hers.
* TookALevelInDumbass: He eventually began to become almost as dumb, incautious, and gullible as the other characters.

[[folder: Jerry Mouse]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jerry_2_0.png]]
A brown [[FunnyAnimal mouse]] and one of the two titular characters of the franchise ''WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry''. Jerry has a knack for finding himself into all sorts of wrangles with Tom. However, he always comes on top and best Tom in most of their chases, sometimes mutilating the poor feline in the process. The mouse and cat duo are associated with the gag that will come about during the main plot of the episode, mostly as a tiny B-plot of some sort. Jerry survives fairly often thanks to his cunning wits.
-->Debut: You Broke our Business
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/TomAndJerry
----
* AdaptationalJerkass: Jerry's no saint, but in ''Gory Toons'', he is malicious, to both Tom and any other character. At best, he will only attack if ''slightly'' provoked, but at worst, he'll kill just because.
* AntiHero: To be fair, Jerry always gives Tom a DisproportionateRetribution, always killing him in the goriest and painful ways, even rivaling The Ants to some extent. Technically, he's not supposed to be in the house or buildings eating human food in the first place.
* {{Archenemy}}: With Tom. It's one of the most infamous and reoccurring rivalries in the series.
* BadassAdorable: He may seem adorable, but this mouse can cause mayhem.
* TheBadGuyWins: He tends to come out on top even when he's the {{Jerkass}} instigator.
* ButtMonkey: Jerry is either killed or antagonized by Tom in most of his appearances.
* CharacterizationMarchesOn: In earlier seasons, Jerry wasn't seen involving himself in chases with Tom and was just another secondary character in [=SpongeBob=]'s group of friends. Later episodes brought Tom into the picture and Jerry is heavily iconic for the chases since then.
* ADayInTheLimelight: "Plankton's last straw" and "Let's stomach this".
* TheGadfly: Telling by some appearances, where he merely childishly trolls his advisaries.
* HeroicComedicSociopath: Ironically, he became just as deranged as Itchy, his {{Expy}}.
* KillerRabbit: The tiny mouse can surely cause havoc for the larger protagonist.
* KarmaHoudini: At times when he's the villain and he gets away with things he shouldn't. Jerry is actually just as capable of being selfish, cruel, or sadistic as Tom is, with a much larger success and survival rate than the cat: like going out of his way to ruin Tom's day for his amusement, or assault other characters just for petty motivations, outright killing them and Tom on a regular basis.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: After all those years of tormenting Tom, it seemed that he takes after the feline's steps of being a ButtMonkey.
* KarmicTrickster: How he still foils Tom's schemes.
* KickTheDog: Jerry is sometimes antagonistic for the sake of giggles and/or from little-to-no provocation. Mutilating Tom in the worst ways that give ''The Ants'' a run for their money, yes, he stooped that low. Shattering somebody's ribcage with a mallet, he wouldn't hesitate to give your bones a whack.
* JerkassToOne: Ignoring his worst moments, Jerry is a pretty friendly character, but to Tom, he would attempt to kill or injure him on sight.
* RunningGag: Jerry's fights and chase with Tom. They would interrupt the plot.
* SilentBob: Jerry never spoke in the series and hardly makes a sound.
* NiceMice: Zig-zagged. Usually, Jerry is a douche who torments his enemies for sadistic laughs, but on his better days, he's a friendly rodent who will help out his friends.
* NoSympathy: He'll hold no punches killing Tom.
* PintsizedPowerhouse: Jerry is not a mouse to be messed with.
* ResourcefulRodent: He's cunning, resourceful, and the rodent part is in his [[SpeciesSurname surname.]]
* SilentBob: He speaks for less than Tom. Jerry has never uttered even a grunt.
* SilentSnarker: Doesn't speak, but his facial expressions do imply snarky thoughts.
* TheSpeechless: Like Tom, he rarely says anything.
* SpeciesSurname: His last name is "Mouse".
* {{Troll}}: Jerry often messes with Tom or the other Toons.
* UnscrupulousHero: He tends to torment or kill Tom even if the latter wasn't bothering him.
* UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist: Jerry and Tom are both just as equally antagonistic to each other, and this series undoubtedly exaggerates the more violent side of their rivalry.
* VillainProtagonist: Some shorts and episodes straightforwardly place Jerry as the villain.

[[folder:Flaky]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:253:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/35_9.png]]
A nervous, cowardly red [[FunnyAnimal porcupine]] from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. Flaky was one of the three original characters who debuted in the first episode. She is best known for the subject of a long-standing gender dispute, though JTMONEYSMASHBROSBOB and most fans refer to her as a female. She is very cautious, scared of nearly everything, and seems to be prone to motion sickness. She is commonly portrayed as a secondary love interest for [=SpongeBob=], and akin to other female characters and their respective partners, Flaky is commonly paired with Flippy in ''Gory Toons''.
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* ButtMonkey: She is often pushed around by the other characters. Not to mention, she retains her low survival rate, her deaths are just as gruesome, and they are even more bizarre! Oh, she retains the merit of surviving the least often than the other female characters as well.
* DemotedToExtra: She was originally the show's deuteragonist, but then she was pushed to a supporting character... then to a recurring character... to a minor character... and she kind of vanished. Granted, she does still make appearances every so often, but at best, Flaky is usually a background character who makes small appearances or brief featuring roles.
* OnlySaneMan: When living in a world where you can die by getting crushed by a door, getting hit by a dodgeball to the face, or having your skull busted open by water, she has every right to be freaked out of her mind.
* PricklyPorcupine: She's technically the only porcupine on the show, which is really saying something. Type B almost describes her perfectly, as she is certainly a victim and very shy, but she isn't shunned for her quills which normally don't get in the way unless death is involved.
* ProperlyParanoid: Considering [[EverythingTryingToKillYou what usually ends up happening]] after attempts at even the safest actions, Flaky's fears seem [[LovableCoward considerably less unreasonable]].
* RedIsHeroic: A caring porcupine, and has red fur.
* ShipTease: Taking the consideration that this is fan-made into account, she is this with Flippy. They even have a child together.
* SpikeShooter: Averted, despite the myth about porcupines shooting their quills. Though there have been occasions where her quills had been launched by something else.
* TertiarySexualCharacteristics: Averted -- she's the only female character to not have pronounced eyelashes or wear female accessories like bows or jewelry. Possibly what led to the high amount of ViewerGenderConfusion before her gender was explicitly stated.
* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The tomboy to either Giggles'/Petunia's/Lammy's girly girl. They all have eyelashes and like girly stuff, but Flaky does not have visible eyelashes and doesn't engage in the activities they like.
* VerbalTic: "Eheheheh...heh heh..."
* WhyDidItHaveToBeSnakes: Flaky has an odd fear of baby chicks, more so than everything else, as it's a call-back to what she encounters in the petting zoo in "A To Zoo". Weirdly enough, it seems to be initially just chicks. She didn't appear to be particularly afraid of any other birds, but it appears that she has now developed a fear of [[Franchise/SonicTheHedgehog Peckies]] as well, at least according to the ''Battle of the Multiverse'' episode "Give me that Flippin' love".

[[folder:Cub]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cubsittinghs33.png]]
An adorable tan [[FunnyAnimal baby bear]] from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. He is one of the very few Toons to be exclusively portrayed as a child, although whether he is a very young baby or a toddler depends on the episode. Because of his small stature, Cub is the most defenseless character in the dangerous world of ''Gory Toons'', which often costs him dearly. Cub is very intelligent for his age, as he is later revealed as a ChildProdigy. He is the most prominent supporting child character, for being the son of Pop.
-->Voiced by: [=SalazaSAUCE Productions=]
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* ADogNamedDog: A bear cub named Cub.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: Cub has had a number of spotlight episodes.
** In "Bearly Caring", he has a B-plot that places him in unfortunate slapstick until his inedible demise.
** In "Cub the prodigy bear", he is revealed to be a ChildProdigy. This prompts an alleged high school to take him away from his school to a higher educational program.
* DeadBabyComedy: Literally, since he dies a lot and is a baby.
* DeathOfAChild: He's often killed off in horrible ways, just like the other characters.
* FearlessInfant: Sometimes, he is happy even in dangerous situations. He also is seen happy even when he sees somebody dying.
* FreeRangeChildren: Several times, he has been seen on his own without his family.
* HasTwoMommies: Since Disco Bear and Pop are now an official gay couple.
* HilariouslyAbusiveChildhood: What? Just because he's an infant doesn't mean he's spared from the carnage.
* NiceHat: And apparently it hides an entire mane of hair.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: He is a cute bear cub.
* TheSixthRanger: Often tags along with the main kid characters, such as "Cub the bear prodigy".
* SpotlightStealingSquad: As Pop became the most prominent parent character, Cub inadvertently gets a lot of screen-time than the other younger characters, resulting in him becoming one of the most recognizable characters in the series.
* WiseBeyondTheirYears: He is quite intelligent for an infant.

[[folder:Brian Griffin]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:276:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/220px_peter_griffin_1_1_142226.png]]
A talking [[FunnyAnimal dog]] from ''WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy''. Brian Griffin is one of the series' very few rational characters. He is a wise and cultured, but cynical Labrador, who serves as the voice of reason and straight-man for Peter. Brian is habitually killed off much earlier and gruesomely than most other characters in the majority of the episodes featuring him, giving him a very poor survival rate.
-->Debut: Super Pooper
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/FamilyGuy
----
* ButtMonkey: Because of the strange pattern of him being killed off so darn often in ''Family Guy'', Brian Griffin precisely spends most of his screentime to die, which would occur even before a plot even starts, giving him one of the ''lowest'' survival rates in the series.
* TheComicallySerious: His expressions are rather solemn.
* ADayInTheLimelight: While he is mostly either a mere victim to the [[UnsympatheticComedyProtagonist rambunctious protagonist's antics]], there are a fair number of times where he plays an important role or has a good chunk of screentime.
** In "Art(?)", Brian Griffin owns a museum, which is the location where this episode entirely takes place. Here, all of the artifacts were stolen by Lumpy.
** In "Busin My Mass", he acts as the {{Foil}} and StraightMan of Peter Griffin. In this particular episode, he almost, if not, just has as much screentime as Peter.
** In "Dial D For Diddly 2", he is the HeroAntagonist that [[KnightTemplar Ned Flander targets for being an atheist.]]
** In "Who Pull Dog The Inside Out? Ow, Ow, Ow, Ow!", [[EnfantTerrible Eric Cartman]] spends most of the episode beating up Brian for having sex with and then ditching his mom.
* DeadpanSnarker: Man, he's the snarky type.
* FurryConfusion: He is the only actual anthropomorphic canine character. Most other dogs and canines depicted in the series are either pets or non-sapient.
* IntellectualAnimal: Brian is one of the most astute characters of the animal cast, even though the other anthropomorphic Toons [[FunnyAnimal are more human-like than him.]]
* NoRespectGuy: Is practically the new Meg in the series, as most of the characters disregard his safety.
* OnlySaneMan: Along with Flaky, Handy, SML Mario, and Brooklyn Guy, he is in this position most of the time. He is constantly seen annoyed, shocked, or disgusted by others' appalling behavior.
* PerpetualFrowner: His casual emote is a sorrowful grimace.
* StraightMan: He is a relatively normal character who is a foil for Peter's antics.
* SnarkyNonHumanSidekick: A sarcastic yet sharp-witted sidekick to Peter.
* SpotlightStealingSquad: Anytime [=SpongeBob=], Pop, Sheila, Kirby, or Eric Cartman ''do not'' appear, the series may as well just be "The Peter, Brian and Stewie Show" in later seasons. More and more episodes directly involves Brian and "Busin My Mass" was completely about Brian and Peter. Let's face it, it's all about them now.

[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jeffy_30.png]]
A mentally disabled child from the show ''WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan''. He is unintelligent and impaired, two traits that influence mayhem for everyone around him. Thankfully, this nuisance is calmer this time around. Usually, Jeffy is a prominent peer who is commonly seen in a school setting or appearing with his adoptive father Mario. While pertaining at least enough deaths to sastify his detractors, Jeffy doesn't die too often.
-->Debut: Flippy's Rampage (And Mr. Krabs new bank machine)
-->Franchise: WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan
----
* AdaptationalDumbass: YES! If you thought {{flanderization}} couldn't hit hard, then... In the original series, Jeffy was moreover comically stupid, would show common sense often, and some of his stupidity actually seems to be ObfuscatingStupidity. In here, he is rather mentally disabled and his saner moments seem to have diminished. He appears to be even confused about his own facial expressions.
* AlwaysABiggerFish: Oddly enough, the principal follows ''Gory Toons'' as well, where if you thought [=SpongeBob=], Cuddles, or Fliqpy's respective personalities caused the most conflicts, then you haven't seen Jeffy.
* AscendedExtra: He had a brief ChuckCunninghamSyndrome following his debut, then re-appeared in a few specials and started to ascend to main character position.
* BewareTheSillyOnes: He is surprisingly [[UpToEleven twice the amount]] of dangerous for someone so ditzy and absent-minded.
* {{Cloudcuckoolander}}: Jeffy's personality is made more bizarre, as it is often suggested Jeffy is in his own world when idled.
* TheDitz: He appears to act even ''more'' brainless.
* FishEyes: Jeffy's eyes are casually derped most of the time.
* {{Jerkass}}: He occasionally becomes the main or secondary antagonist within an episode.
* KindheartedSimpleton: Jeffy's behavior seems to finally gotten better as his depiction in ''Gory Toons'' is much friendlier opposed to his portrayal in ''[=SuperMarioLogan=]'', where he was acting like a {{Troll}} with a HairTriggerTemper.
* OutOfFocus: Ethier because he loathed by fans and the creator alike or has been literally dumbed down to a clueless imbecile, Jeffy is less involved with the plots that feature him and appears less consistently than [=SpongeBob=]'s other young peers.
* TooDumbToLive: To a greater degree.

[=SpongeBob=]'s pet snail, who meows like a cat.
-----
* AnimalJingoism: In "Stuck In A Construction", he dislikes Jerry, as he is a mouse. Cats, the animal Gary is based on, dislike Mice.
* CatsAreMean: {{Subverted}} for the most part, though he has his occasional {{Jerkass}} moments like most of the cast.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "What's Wrong? Snail got your tongue?".
* HateAtFirstSight: Towards Jerry. The two seem to made up as of "Hyper-Activities", however.
* HypercompetentSidekick: He often seems smarter than his owner.
* OnlyKnownByTheirNickname: He's never called by his real name, "Garold".
* OnlySaneMan: Despite being a pet, Gary fills the role of the only reasonable and rational person the vast majority of the time. He is not exaggerated into a murderous shell of himself. [[UnintentionalPun No Pun Intended]].
* OutOfFocus: Yes, due to being Spongebob's pet, his actual role in the series is still fairly small. While some of the other characters have their here and there ADayInTheLimelight episodes, Gary-centric episodes are not just rare. Oh no. They are outright in ''tiny'' quantity.
* RidiculouslyCuteCritter: He's a cute little snail.
* SilentSnarker: Often non-verbally expresses his disdain for his everyone's idiocy.
* SnarkyNonHumanSidekick: Despite most of them being FunnyAnimals. He is shown with sarcastic expressions and snarky meows.
* TokenGoodTeammate: One of the few characters who is not a {{Jerkass}}, an antagonist, a SerialKiller, or a moron.

----
* TheDitz: Is one of the more oblivious characters.
* JerkWithAHeartOfGold: By standpoint, he is a jerk. However, in ''Gory Toons'', his good side shows up a lot more often.

* BigBrotherWorship: He idolizes his brother Kyle very much.
* BrainyBaby: While not nearly as intelligent as Cub, he is very knowledgeable and aware for someone his age.

* ButtMonkey: Meg has been killed in most of her appearances.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Shut Up Meg"
* FreudianExcuse: Meg's {{Yandere}} tendencies have something to do with her ButtMonkey status.
* FriendlessBackground: [[DependingOnTheWriter Depending on the episode]], she's occasionally depicted as having no friends to being seen as a standard teenage friend for a character.

[[folder: Waddle Dees]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/waddle_dee_3.png]]
Basic mooks found across the ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' series. These little guys are regular denizens who won't really oppose as much of a threat. Sadly, most of the fellow Toons always target these hapless Waddle Dees. Especially a pink blob. Typically, most of these Waddle Dees appear to represent the local townsfolk of ''Gory Toons'', right alongside Generic Tree Friends and the Bikini Bottomities.

On occasion, these guys are seen alongside their cyclopic cousin, Waddle Doo. The species have survived a fair share of episodes, mainly due to their presence as background characters normally. The Waddle Dees are considered antagonists against the main character, but on the other hand, they are treated as a main Kirby character alongside King Dedede and Kirby themselves. As a matter of fact, even though Waddle Dee is normally the underdog in ''Gory Toons'', he is an ally in some episodes.
-->Debut: Mothers Day Battle
-->Franchise: VideoGame/{{Kirby}}
----
* TheBadGuyWins: The Waddle Dees manages to triumph victory against Kirby in "One Tough Cream Puff".
* ButtMonkey: Waddle Dees are often eaten or antagonized by Kirby.
* TheDogBitesBack: Sometimes, Waddle Dees will strike at Kirby and they can be successful considering what becomes of the puffball in this series.
* FriendlyEnemy: The Waddle Dees appear to be hostile creatures, but really, they are fairly neighborly towards the protagonists and other denizens of ''Gory Toons''.
* TheGenericGuy: A whole species of them. Specifically, their purpose is to function like local townsfolk of the city Gory Toons takes place in.
* {{Hobbits}}: Whenever background civilization is needed, Waddle Dees fulfill this role most commonly.
* MascotMook: Thanks to their cute design and frequent appearances as background characters, Waddle Dees are often the representative of the ''Kirby'' series in ''Gory Toons'' alongside Kirby himself.
* {{Mook}}: Serve as this to the main cast, being enemies, mostly as henchmen to Dedede.
* NoMouth: All of them lack a mouth, just having eyes and BlushStickers on their face.
* RecurringExtra: They aren’t particularly crucial for whatever insane or gruesome plot is the focus of an episode, but considering their regular appearances in episodes, in essence, Waddle Dees are more or less the most common background characters in the series.
* VillainsOutShopping: Besides the occasional moment where the Waddle Dees do attack the protagonists, they are mostly denizens of ''Gory Toons'' alongside many other mellow characters. In fact, Waddle Dees are commonly seen hanging out with the protagonists and have participated in common activities with them.
* WaddlingHead: They're mainly a head with limbs attached.

This mushroomed humanoid is a singular character among an entire species of look-alikes, but this Toad has a red bulbous cranium and a blue vest to separate him from his identical-looking kind. He mainly takes the position as a supporting character, helping the leading protagonists on several of their adventures or typically playing a role as the average denzien.
-->Debut: Eggman's new scheme
-->Franchise: Franchise/SuperMarioBros
----
* ButtMonkey: Poor Toad has techinically died in the entirety of both 2020 and 2021, plus 2222 ''so far''. In all instances, he spends a good chunk of his screentime to be merely killed off. Resultingly, poor Toad is killed in most of his appearances.
* ColorCodedCharacters: If there's ''a'' Toad who has a red cap, chances are, he's ''the'' Toad.
* CompositeCharacter: Considering how only a ''single'' red Toad has appeared in an episode, he is likely a stand-in for red-capped Toads in general.
* ClothingAppendage: Several of Toad's deaths often reveal his "mushroom hat" to be apart of his head. Sometimes, said bulb contains an [[BodyHorror entire brain.]]
* DropTheHammer: He uses the Super Hammer from ''VideoGame/SuperMarioMaker2'' to construct a brick wall in "A youtube return/ The best episode!".
* DivergentCharacterEvolution: ''Gory Toons'' tries to make an effort to distinguish Toad from his species, by making other Toads in different colorations. So far, we've only seen Yellow Toad and Toadette, with no more than ''one'' red Toad making an appearance.
* EarlyBirdCameo: Toad's first appearance was technically in the episode "Eggman's new scheme", where his mushroom bulb is shown during a brief scene.
* ManOnFire: Gets caught on fire in "Splendid What Mondon't".
* MushroomMan: Toad is a little creature who has a mushroom on top of his head.
* NiceGuy: He's a polite steward who, unlike fellow characters, have genuine respect for his peers.
* OnlySaneMan: Mainly a casualty who seem to naturally react towards the orthodox chaotic tendencies caused by other Toons.
* ThePrankster: As seen in "Oh Yeah, Mr. Krabs: The Full Anime", he is a prankster and one of Bart's many partners in crime.
* UniformityException: Toad is ''distinct'' by his red cap and blue vest. No other red Toads had ever shown, ''the'' Toad is usually ''the'' Red Toad.

[[quoteright:243:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/40_89.png]]
A purple [[FunnyAnimal deer]] from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends'' who is a mime. Mime is very talented at various circus and carnival acts. He loves peanuts and has an addiction to them. He never speaks. Of course, he's a mime, so this [[JustifiedTrope makes sense]]. Mime’s deaths are notable for mostly being instantaneous, with only a few of his demises actually being painful.
-->Debut: Sonic got Hacked
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AscendedExtra: He was mostly a background Tree Friend whose only role is to exhibit his NonIronicClown personality. Starting with Season 7 onwards, he plays more major roles in episodes and is in the gang of commonly used Tree Friends alongside Nutty and Handy.
* ButtMonkey: Has only ever survived in ''4'' episodes in general, has only survived ''one'' episode in 2021, and never survived a single ''Gory Toons'' reboot episode so far. His dedication to his mime persona, while endearing to some, is considered irksome by others and often leads to the deaths of one or several Toons due to the lack of mutual understanding.
* CuteMute: He never says anything.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Those are mime peanuts" and "Mime Vs. The Mole".
* ElectiveMute: In several episodes, he makes brief vocal sounds, such as snoring, gagging, or gurgling. He most likely chooses not to speak or scream out of showmanship.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: Wears no pants.
* KarmaHoudini: All three of his most significant roles that he survives have him get away with causing almost every death in the episode:
** In “Sonic got hacked”, he is distracted from his task of holding up a cardboard cutout advertising the [[Film/SonicTheHedgehog2020 Sonic The Hedgehog Movie]] via a string by the cold winds, causing him to let go of the rope and for the cardboard cutout to land onto the audience, slicing and crushing all of them. After all of that, he is one of the few characters who survived during the episode.
** In “Cub the prodigy bear”, Mime pulls on an invisible rope that Gerald happens to walk into, causing the latter to have his legs severed by the rope and die of blood loss. Mime manages to escape the scene by grabbing an invisible lasso and flinging himself out of sight.
** In “Those are mime peanuts”, his key-personality trait of being obsessed with peanuts has led to disaster. First and foremost, he annoys Flippy by chewing very loudly, prompting him to flip out and kill the rest of the customers in his peanut shop. Later on, he ends up guzzling up Fliqpy whole over a peanut that was on his forehead. Pretty much, Mime came out completely unscathed.
* NiceGuy: A good-natured and friendly deer who often uses his talents to cheer others up.
* PoorCommunicationKills: Due to never speaking, nobody can understand him.
* ThrowTheDogABone: Similar to Homer Simpson, Mime has one of the lowest survival rates in the show, with only his debut episode being kind enough to not kill him off. However, the Reboot series cut Mime some slack. A few episodes had Mime survive his prominent appearances, including his [[ADayInTheLimeLight spotlight episode]]. He goes back to having an abysmal death-survival ratio in modern seasons, but his track record in those appearances still blesses him decently for ''Gory Toons'' standards. Only Giggles fares better among the characters that die more often than not.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Peanuts, for some reason. Of course, this has been {{flanderized}} into an obsession.
* TheVoiceless: In several episodes he makes brief vocal sounds, such as snoring, gagging, or gurgling. He most likely chooses not to speak or scream out of showmanship.
* YourMimeMakesItReal: It is sometimes shown that he can turn seemingly imaginary objects into actual reality, such as "Cub the prodigy bear" and "Mime vs. The Mole". When Mime was pulling on "imaginary" rope, Gerald walked in front of Mime — however, both his legs are instanstly sliced afterward.

[[folder: The Mole]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/the_mole_z.png]]
A blind lavender [[FunnyAnimal mole]] from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. The rule that he and Lumpy are the most inept Toons for any given job still applies. Adding insult to injury, The Mole remains a mute individual with impaired hearing, rendering him incapable of properly communicating and making him destructively oblivious. He keeps his signature ability to instigate calamities wherever he goes and persists in doing activities that require vision, especially driving.

Although his demeanor and blindness are recipes for disaster, The Mole actually has one of the highest survival rates in the series, mostly due to dumb luck. ''Gory Toons'' decides to portray him as a hobo who would occasionally wander the streets and made him proficent in combat, which is most exemplified when he was the archenemy of Mime.
-->Debut: Sonic got Hacked
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* ADogNamedDog: A mole named "Mole".
* BlindDriving: Often seen driving, despite being blind. Naturally, this leads to several mishaps.
* BlindMistake: His biggest form of comedy.
* BlindPeopleWearSunglasses: Mole is blind, and ambles about with a red-ended walking staff, turtleneck sweater, and rounded sunglasses similar to those of John Lennon. Being sightless, Mole rarely survives any of his appearances; of course, his fellow characters fare no better.
* ButtMonkey: Despite his high survival rate and surviving in most of his appearances, he has gone through some of the most agonizing deaths the show has to offer such as getting his head repeatably slammed with a hammer, exploding from touching a lamp, had his head impaled by a sword, etc.
* CaptainOblivious: Even taking his blindness into account, there are many instances where he should be able to hear or feel that something is wrong but doesn't.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "Mime Vs The Mole"
* DrivesLikeCrazy: Whenever he's seen in a car, he will either crash it or drive clumsily. {{Justified}}, as he's blind.
* {{Hobo}}: Is often portrayed as a homeless man.
* InformedSpecies: He doesn't really look like a mole, more like a bear instead.
* TheFaceless: He always wears sunglasses and his turtleneck sweater [[NoMouth covers his mouth all the time]], making him appear expressionless at all times.
* HalfDressedCartoonAnimal: No pants.
* HandicappedBadass: As seen in “Mime vs. The Mole”, where he fights on par with Mime.
* KarmaHoudiniWarranty: After spending the first five seasons generally unscathed, having only one (off-screen mind you) death at best, The Mole finally gets the proper ''Happy Tree Friends'' treatment in the Reboot series, where he dies far more often and in far messier and unique ways.
* NoMouth: His mouth is covered by his sweater.
* NiceGuy: He's just a friendly character with no grudge.
* TheStoic: Because his face is covered all the time and he's completely voiceless, he shows no emotion whatsoever, no matter what the situation. Justified, as he is blind, so he can't see what's exciting, depressing, or scary.
* TheSpeechless: He's never said a single word in any of his appearances. He never even makes any vocal noises of any kind.
* SpellMyNameWithAThe: The only character to have the word "the" as part of his name.
* SunglassesAtNight: Possibly justified by the fact that he's ''blind.''
* TooDumbToLive: While most of his mistakes can be explained by his blindness, the fact that a blind person is doing all these things that require sight in the first place indicates that he's not the brightest bulb. Like Lumpy, a more common occurrence being [[InvertedTrope "Too Dumb For Those Around Him To Live"]](with a few exceptions).

[[folder:Mayor [=MacDaniels=]]]
[[quoteright:150:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mayormcdaniels.png]]
A mayor from the show ''WesternAnimation/SouthPark''. Even though [=McDaniels=] technically has the authority over the rest of the ''Toons'', she isn't as competent as she makes herself out to be. [=McDaniels=] is the corrupt and idiotic mayor of the town who is rather narcissistic. Her methods to resolve problems isn't exactly the best to put it lightly. Most troubled denizens often ask for help from [=McDaniels=] whenever diseaster arise, but her own solutions would commonly further the deadly cataclysm. Despite her diseaterous ideas, Mayor [=McDaniels=] survives her appearances rather frequently. For that matter, she's now tied with Splendid and Liane for dying the least amount of times, which is a singular death.
-->Debut: Stewie's Lesson
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/SouthPark
----
* ElderlyBlueHairedLady: Gives off this impression.
* {{Jerkass}}: She considers everyone in town a bunch of hillbillies, sometimes resort to murdering characters in some circumstances, and doesn’t care for the misfortune chaos that regularly occurs. Then again, that not's too surprising considering how the townsfolk themselves would use homicide to solve their problems. ...At the same time, it would explain ''where'' they have gotten their murderous tendicies from.
* LackOfEmpathy: Several episodes show that [=McDaniels=] doesn’t really care about the suffering, inconvenience, or problematic squabbles the citizens have to deal with, telling by her very typical uninterested (or at least unaware) expression when involved herself.
* KnowNothingKnowItAll: See SurroundedByIdiots below.
* PointyHairedBoss: Greedy, stupid and prefers a sweep-under-the-rug approach.
* SlaveToPR: Most of the time, she only cares about making the town look good to the press and outsiders rather than helping the citizens.
* SleazyPolitician: Rather unsurprisingly, as this is the type of series to flanderize basic traits into full-blown personalities likely to cause arson. She has bigger yet utterly meaningless political ambitions, and occasionally laments being stuck in a dead-end podunk town like the one in ''Gory Toons''.
* SurroundedByIdiots: Is perfectly aware of the absurd hijinks that occur in the town and has little respect for the idiocy of its citizens, though she rarely comes off as much smarter.

[[folder:Wario]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/wario_gory_toons.png]]
The fat and greedy treasure hunter who is [[Franchise/SuperMarioBros Mario's]] rival. Wario is mean yet certainly not lean who loves money more than anything else. He has a meme committed to the poor bastard getting relentlessly mutilated, mauled, killed, and injured, causing poor ol' Wario to suffer an extremely low survival rate and for how excruciating his demises are, he already has accomplished a record for enduring some of the worst deaths out there.
-->Debut: Sonic's quest for the Chilly Dog shop
-->Franchise: VideoGame/SuperMarioBros
-----
* TheBigGuy: Is one of the fatter characters.
* BroughtToYouByTheLetterS: He has the letter "W" on his hat and his gloves.
* ButtMonkey: Wario is especially subjected to slapstick, which is based on a meme dedicated to him dying in painful and horrifying ways. That also caused him to suffer from one of the lowest survival rates on the show, dying in all episodes from 2019 to 2021. So far, Wario has only survived ''one'' episode.
* ADayInTheLimelight: "Wario dies but it's more brutal" and "The Kid Who Liked Wario A Little TOO MUCH"
* EarlyInstallmentCharacterDesignDifference: For an odd reason, he wore a bull cap in his first appearance.
* EvilCounterpart: Basically, consider him Kirby 2.0.
* GagNose: A pink one
* {{Greed}}: It's still Wario.
* {{Gonk}}: Though, this series mangaged to make even Wario look cuter, which is certainly a feat.
* {{Jerkass}}: Wario is still very much rude and vugular.
* IWasBeatenByAGirl: In "Road Rage", Wario, being the unruly bastard he is, blows a mocking raspberry at Linda Stotch. Cue to Wario being strangled and then pummeled to death by Butters Stotch's mother.
* MrViceGuy: He is still a mischevious jerk who habitually taunts everybody, but relatively speaking, he is at least tame and affiable.
* PurpleIsPowerful: {{Subverted}}. While Wario is clad in purple, he is also usually defenseless whenever his life is on the line.
* SlasherSmile: Look at it! It's still prominent. The teeth do disappear at times when Wario dies, however.
* TombstoneTeeth: As mentioned previously, Wario retains his blocky grin. However, because of the animation style, it is more commonly depicted as a ToothStrip instead.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: His own episode makes it appearant that he loves garlic. Apparently, it was too spicy, though.

[[folder:Russell]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/44_1.png]]
A turquoise [[FunnyAnimal sea otter]] pirate from ''WebAnimation/HappyTreeFriends''. He suffers from hysteria and this trait has been expanded upon greatly. True to the show he originated from, Russell’s vocabulary, including his screams, usually consists of “Yar” and other variations. Shockingly, in ''Gory Toons'', Russell suffers far less deaths than he normally would in ''Happy Tree Friends''. This surprising achievement has granted him a high survival rate in turn.
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
-----
* AmbiguousDisorder: Seems to have some sort of insanity complex; perhaps a form of PTSD, as shown in a few episodes. The statement varies from simple PTSD to hysteria.
* APirate400YearsTooLate: The only pirate in this relatively modern universe.
* AxCrazy: After accidentally killing Mime in "Flippin' What?!", he starts to viciously attack Peter Griffin, who was in a shark costume.
* BlueIsHeroic: Turquoise fur and a protagonist.
* CatchPhrase: "Yar."
* CartoonyTail: He has a flat tail like a beaver. Real-life otters have long tails.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "A little Russell short" and "Fourth Of July! Yar!".
* EyepatchOfPower: He wears an eyepatch and is one of the protagonists.
* FlatCharacter: Besides being a stereotypical pirate, Russell doesn't have much character aside from his insanity complex that has been rendered his entire character.
* FriendlyPirate: He likes sailing, fishing, and treasure and has a pirate hat, a peg leg, and an eyepatch. However, he never really commits acts of piracy or otherwise does anything particularly illegal or immoral, being more of a sailor than a pirate.
* InformedSpecies: He looks more like a beaver than an otter. Somewhat [[JustifiedTrope justified]], as Russell is a sea otter, which does have a flat tail.
* MisplacedWildlife: Being a marine animal among mostly land-originated citizens. Granted, he does spend a lot of his time near the sea and water.
* NiceHat: A pirate hat.
* NeverBareheaded: He's rarely seen without his hats.
* OddFriendship: With Cub in a few episodes.
* OutOfFocus: In the show's early days, he was mostly a background character and one of the cast's rarest characters. Additionally, in the modern seasons of the show, Russell started to appear less and less, usually making small appearances and more often than not, he also doesn't play a featuring role in some episodes. Of course, this is averted in late 2021, where "A little Russell short" finally gave him a major role and then Russell was also given his own spotlight episode titled "Four of July! YAR!!!".
* SanitySlippage: Russell will often flip out and go insane when he's under a lot of stress.
* SeadogPegLeg: Russell has all the features of a typical pirate, including not one but two peg legs.
* TalkLikeAPirate: "Yar!"
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Clams, as shown in his "You broke our business".
* VerbalTic: "Yar!"

[[folder:Bandana Dee]]
A [[CartoonCreature Waddle Dee]] with a bandana from the ''Franchise/{{Kirby}}'' franchise.
-->Debut: Can you find the Easter Egg
-->Franchise: VideoGame/{{Kirby}}
----
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Makes no further appearances beyond the prototype series.
* TheGenericGuy: He's simply a Waddle Dee background who occasionally interacts with the main cast.
* NoMouth: Simply lacks a mouth.
* SignatureHeadgear: As his role is as a minor character now, he is blatantly distinguished by ''only'' his bandana.
* OutOfFocus: And he's luckier than Meta Knight! His role is merely a background character who mostly appears in crowd shots.
* TheVoiceless: Never talks.

[[folder:Shrek]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:250:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1200px_mr_krabssvg_1_1_1_1_2.png]]
A parody/depiction of Sherk from the web-series ''WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan''. He is a green ogre who loves cheesecake.
-->Debut: Sonic got Hacked
-->Franchise: WebVideo/SuperMarioLogan
----
* BigEater: Spends most of his time eating cheesecake.
* GassHole: Often farts or poops.
* LazyBum: In fact, most of his appearances are either him pooping, or eating cheesecake.
* OutOfFocus: Shrek only appears sparodically. He was especically rare to show up in eariler episodes.
* ToiletHumor: That's a charm of his character. Mostly defecation.
* TrademarkFavoriteFood: Sara Lee cheesecake.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cuphead]]
* BadassAdorable: One of the few characters whose depiction isn't too far off from the actual source material.
* ADayInTheLimeLight: "An Old Fellow Returned".
* FingerGun: He attacks by making finger guns and firing shots from them.
* MockyMouse: He's a clear {{Expy}} of WesternAnimation/MickeyMouse.
* NonHumanHead: He has a cup for a head.

[[folder:Pac-Man]]
[[hardline]]
[[quoteright:350:https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/pac_man_72.png]]
A [[CartoonCreature pizza-like creature]] with a large mouth iconicly debuting from the [[VideoGame/PacMan Arcade game with the same name.]] He is largely known for his notorious appetite and neighborly demeanor. Pac-Man was much more prominent in the show's early seasons, but now started to appear only sparodically.
-->Debut: Be cool as a seacucumber
-->Franchise: VideoGame/PacMan
------
* BigEater: Being Pac-Man, he loves to eat.
* DemotedToExtra: He used to appear much more frequently in earlier episodes, but he makes fewer appearances nowadays.
* HeroicMime: Never makes an audible sound.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Splendid]]

-->Debut: Popcorn
-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* AntiHero: A NominalHero.

[[folder:Cro-Marmot]]

-->Franchise: WesternAnimation/HappyTreeFriends
----
* BehindTheBlack: ''Everything'' he does is never seen, because he is in an ice cube all the time.
* BlindingBangs: His hair covers up his eyes.
* CarryABigStick: Always seen carrying a club nearly as big as he is. Though, unusually for this series, it's never killed anybody due to being frozen in ice along with Cro-Marmot himself.
* ChuckCunninghamSyndrome: Has been completely phased out of the show for a few seasons. In the most recent example, Cro-Marmot hasn't been present for Season 1 of the ''Gory Toons'' reboot.
* TheCasanova: Sometimes female characters are shown fanboying over him.
* CuteMute: He never says anything due to being inside of a cube.
* FlatCharacter: Seen as more of a LivingProp than a genuine character so there's not much to exaggerate. He is one of the least favored characters in the series, particularly due to sharing his most notable traits (his muteness and ability to perform impossible tasks offscreen) with The Mole, Handy, and Mime, who are far more flexible characters.
* MadeOfIron: He rarely dies because of him always shielded by his ice cube.
* HumanPopsicle: Or Marmot Popsicle. He is stuck with a [[PerpetualSmiler perpetual smile]] and [[TheSpeechless never talks]].
* LivingProp: Cro-Marmot has barely any episodes focused on him and [[BehindTheBlack does not do anything onscreen]]. He also shows no range of emotion either. He rarely makes cameos either, and they aren't even meaningful.
* OutOfFocus: Is the least focused-on character in the show. He technically shows up almost as often as the likes of Gary The Snail, SML Mario, Brooklyn Guy, Lifty and Shifty, Disco Bear, and Russell, but he is a background character in most of his appearances. Compared to Flippy and Splendid, the other "rare characters" who play a major role in almost every episode in which they appear, Cro-Marmot is definitely underused.
* PerpetualSmiler: Has a smile always stuck on his face. Justified, because he can't change expression in his ice cube.
* TheSpeechless: Has no vocal sounds. Justified as he is always inside of an ice cube.
* TheStoic: Cro-Marmot does not show any expression whatsoever due to being stuck in an ice cube.
