* BarbaricBattleaxe: Unsurprisingly for one who is a dwarf and a Berserker, battleaxes are his primary weapon. In fact, he starts with Grand Mastery (five proficiency points) in Axes, which grants him a +3 to hit, +5 to damage, an extra attack per round and a reduction of three to speed factor (making him more likely to attack first each round) when using any axe weapon, including a set of throwing axes he keeps for backup.

* TheBrute: He fulfils this role in your party, especially if most of your group are Evil-aligned. He's brutal, bloodthirsty, and almost as strong as he is tough, but only has average mental stats and no real skill as a leader. He also doesn't have much of a long-term plan or specific goals to carry out, only requiring Charname to help him with a specific goal upon joining the party and thereafter simply going along with whatever you want to do. In fact, he's quite happy to encourage Charname to become a powerful god only on the condition that they remember the good turns he did them.

* ChaoticEvil: InUniverse. Korgan is a brutal PsychoForHire and loves nothing more than bringing the axe down on command. However he also doesn't really care much for moving past that, simply going through the world at his own brutal pace.

* DarkAndTroubledPast: Was born via TraumaticCSection as his mother died, witnessed his father's death/had to build his funeral pyre alone and to his disgust both happened for incredibly stupid reasons.

to:

* CloseRangeCombatant: His Berserker class only allows him to reach grand mastery with any melee weapon and master any combat style, but only achieve basic proficiency with any ranged weapon (darts, long/shortbows, crossbows or slings). This isn't as crippling as it would be for any other game, though; thanks to the widespread availability of throwing weapons, he can easily use those as his ranged weapon on the rare occasions he finds something he can't smash to pieces up close.

* DoesThisRemindYouOfAnything: Korgan shares his surname with real-life viking king Eric Bloodaxe, a man known for his cruelty who killed his brothers so he could rule their kingdom alone. Huh.
* DoubleEntendre: He drops a few of them, particularly if Mazzy's around.
-->Korgan: Be aware, Mazzy, I've something long, hard, and low to the ground yer free to touch and fondle. Child, no need to glare! 'Twas me axe I was referring to... it's ajoke!

* DropTheHammer: His secondary weapon, unsurprising considering his race. Notably, he's the only recruitable dwarf in the game and therefore the only one who can wield the Dwarven Thrower, an infinite use throwing hammer, without Charname being a dwarf or a thief having the Use Any Item ability.

* FantasticRacism: Hates us Longlimbs, especially drow. But then, everyone hates the drow, and with good reason, so he has an excuse for that one. This naturally leads to racially-charged scuffles with Viconia in banter, since she hates him right back for being a dwarf.

* SuspiciouslySimilarSubstitute: Is this to Imoen as a dual-classed thief/mage, down to the stats (their most important stats - INT, DEX and CON are identical, Nalia merely trades Imoen's exceptional yet not very useful CHA for a decent yet useless STR; however, Imoen is a bit more powerful due to having a few more thief levels, which don't really matter XP-wise). Originally, she was intentionally created as such since the developers planned to kill off Imoen in [=BG2=]; and Nalia can still function as a stand-in for Imoen during the part of the game that the latter is unavailable.

Class-wise, Imoen dual-classed from thief at level 6 and is a 7th level mage while Nalia did so at level 4 and joins as an 8th level mage, but at the end of the game Imoen ends up a bit more powerful due to having a few more those extra thief levels, which don't really matter XP-wise). levels the XP cap in Shadows of Amn is 2.95 million, and mages reach level 17 at 2.65 million, making the 15,000 XP difference between a 4th and 6th level thief immaterial. Neither have 100 in Open Locks and Find Traps and need special equipment to reach the final level. * MageKiller: Although he's not as devoted to it as the fighter subclass or inquisitor paladins like Keldorn, Valygar is presented in-story in as having experience in mage-hunting and gameplay-wise his combination of stealth ability, backstab and his powerful katana (which causes targets to bleed, ruining their ability to concentrate on spells) makes him very adept at it.
