[[folder:Delia Ketchum]]
Ash's mother, who dotes on her son and constantly worries for his safety. This worry only grows tenfold after her memories are restored and she learns about all of her son's world-saving adventures.
-----
* AdultFear: After she is Reminded, she worries about a lot of Ash's future world-saving adventures, to say the least.
* AndYourRewardIsClothes: Every time Ash finishes a League, Delia commissions a custom badge for her son that commemorates it. So far she's given out:
** An indigo flower for the Indigo League.
** An orange blossom for the Orange League.
** A silver crescent moon for the Silver Conference.
** A comet for [[spoiler: the Delta Episode]].
** A pyramid for the Battle Frontier.
* CrazyPrepared: Has packed a few esoteric items into Ash's BagOfHolding, including a fireproof outfit and a ''dress''. The latter is due to the [[{{Crossdresser}} Ashley]] incident that Brock once told her about.
* [[NoBadassToHisValet No Champion To His Mother]]: As far as Ash is concerned. It doesn't matter how many Leagues he wins or how many Legendaries he has, if he doesn't come home to visit his mother every once in a while, she ''will'' track him down and she ''will'' let him have it.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Understandably decides not to got to Greenfield for obvious reasons. [[UnwittingInstigatorOfDoom However, this caused the Unown to go off the script, with massive consequences for everyone]].
** And when she sees via TV the events, she's painfully aware of it...
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Todd Snap]]
A photographer that Ash befriended in Kanto, who takes Pokémon photos for a popular magazine. Ever since meeting Ash, his opportunities for rare Pokémon photo ops has quite literally skyrocketed.
-----
* CameraFiend: Natch.
* {{Sidekick}}: Meets a Sneasel that decides to act as his photography assistant.
* TheWorldIsJustAwesome: He gets the opportunity to take pictures of some ''breathtaking'' scenes, including migrating Pokémon photos from a microlight, and [[spoiler: even the courting and ''birth'' of Legendary Pokémon]].
* UnfazedEveryman: Is ''trying'' to be this with regards to Ash's inexplicable connection to Legendaries, but isn't quite there yet.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Philena Ivy]]
The Professor of the Orange Islands.
-----
* TheLostLenore: [[spoiler:To Brock from the original timeline. A FreakLabAccident involving the Unown sent her to a pocket dimension where she remained trapped, a fate that Brock was unable to save her from. This was the reason why Brock had [[MyGreatestFailure extreme negative reactions]] to hearing Ivy's name. But thanks to Ash's TimeTravel, Brock averts this by using his foreknowledge to save Ivy]].
* NoodleIncident: She somehow got her lab CoveredInMud during an experiment to test Diglett's sensitivity to ultrasonics.
* OfficialCouple: With Brock [[spoiler:after he saved her from a group of Unown she was studying]].
* CuteKitten: Her new Shinx, [[spoiler: a gift from Brock's mum]].
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Lance]]
A dragon tamer of the Blackthorn Clan, and the current Grand Champion of the Kanto and Johto Leagues. Lance functions as the leader of the Elite Four and of the G-Men, a local peacekeeping force that intervenes in crises across both regions. As of late, however, he's beginning to notice that a certain ''someone'' has been taking care of things before he can get involved.
-----
* BadassCape: [[CrowningMomentOfFunny Which baby dragon Pokémon that he raises for the League tend to chew on]].
* BigGood: For Kanto and Johto.
* TheChooserOfTheOne: Was the one who nominated [[spoiler: Misty for the Elite Four]].
* TheDreaded: Giovanni makes a point to avoid him.
* HeroicBSOD: Comedic version, where he is outright shocked to learn that [[spoiler:Molly Hale, ''an eight year old girl'', is responsible for the creation of the Fairy-type, the absolute bane of a dragon tamer such as Lance]].
* PassingTheTorch: A variation - he was both a member of the Elite Four and its Grand Champion, but passed his Elite Four position to Karen after the Silver Conference, becoming Grand Champion ''only''.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:The Sensational Sisters (Daisy, Lily, and Violet Waterflower)]]
Misty's three older sisters, and the other Cerulean City Gym Leaders.
-----
* SuperMode: [[spoiler: They have a Slowbro and the associated Slowbronite.]]
* TookALevelInBadass: In the original timeline, they give up on being gym leaders, and leave the gym for Misty to run. After Misty [[spoiler: is under consideration to join the Elite Four]] in the new timeline, she convinces them to reconsider, and become better gym leaders. This is seen during Max's gym battle with them.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Norman Maple]]
The father of May and Max Maple, and the Petalburg City Gym Leader who specializes in Normal-types.
-----
* BerserkButton: Norman's Lopunny ''hates'' being mistaken for a female, as Brock finds out.
* DudeLooksLikeALady: His male Lopunny. And he ''[[BerserkButton really]]'' hates being mistaken as one. [[spoiler: So when he Mega-Evolves...]]
* GoodParents: Really loves his kids and immediately notices when something might be wrong, even if it's just Max failing a test.
* HandicappedBadass: His deaf Exploud that has to be given commands with sign language.
* SeenItAll: He gave up being surprised around when he learned about [[spoiler:the Fairy-type being a result of CosmicRetcon.]]
* SignatureMove: Façade, as in the original Ruby and Sapphire games, and it's actually stated as such in-universe.
* SoProudOfYou: Both of his children have earned the Balance Badge and he could not be happier about it. With Max, the conversation even mirrors his game dialogue.
* SuperMode: [[spoiler:Borrowed Max's Key Stone and the Lopunnite that Gary found to Mega Evolve his Lopunny.]]
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Cynthia]]
The current Grand Champion of the Sinnoh League. Ash meets her during his Sinnoh journey, and finds out she can be reminded of the old timeline.
-----
* BigGood: For Sinnoh.
* TranslatorBuddy: Her Lucario serves as one. She tried learning Aura Translation, but it didn't work out.
[[/folder]]

!!Rivals
[[folder:Gary Oak]]
Ash's former rival, now one of his closest friends. In the original timeline, after having retired from Pokémon League competition to become a researcher, Gary attempted to thwart Cyrus' attempt to reshape the world, only to fail. Ash restored his memories, and now Gary goes around investigating the numerous changes to the timeline that Ash's time traveling adventure is causing (particularly Mega Evolution) and other phenomena in the Pokémon world. Unlike those mentioned above, Gary's Pokémon were not restored, as Ash didn't know them well enough to do so.

Accomplishments:

* Kanto: Indigo League runner-up.
* Kalos: Kalos League Champion.

-----

* ButtMonkey: If anything bad can happen, odds are it's going to happen to Gary. The poor guy has a lot of crap happen at his expense, most notably the below ChainOfDeals. Seeing as his grandfather tends to suffer similarly thanks to Ash's eccentric Pokémon, it's probably hereditary. [[LampshadeHanging Lampshaded]] in an Author's Note: "Being Gary Oak is suffering".
** ThrowTheDogABone: For all his troubles, [[spoiler:he gets a piece of Blastoisinite and a Key Stone, and eventually his research gets published in ''Pokémon'' journal, even ending up on the cover]].
** He even subverts CantCatchUp by [[spoiler:winning the Kalos League]].
* ChainOfDeals: Gary found himself in one trying to teach Alakazam Teleport. [[labelnote:The full chain]]Gary needs to borrow Oak's Dragonite because there's a man in Geosenge who will give a fossil to someone who shows him a fully-evolved Dragon-type. From the fossil he'll get an Anorinth that can be traded for a Liepard, that traded for a Swoobat, that for a Clefairy, and that for a Gyarados, who can be shown to Marie in Camphrier for a letter. The letter is to be given to Jacques who will give him a Farfetch'd that can be traded for a Beartic and then that for a shiny Furfrou. Furfrou is then to get a haircut and be shown to Gym Leader Valerie to get a Focus Sash that can be traded for a Silk Sash. That is to be given to a girl in Luminose for a Pokémon that can dance, and after showing a dancing Pokémon to a certain guy he will get the Heart Scale he needs to give to the Move Relearner as payment for him having Alakazam re-learn Teleport.[[/labelnote]] Prof. Oak manages to derail the Chain by telling Gary that Misty has a Gyarados she would most likely let him borrow, Oak knows someone with a Clefairy and both Silk and Focus Sashes, Ash's Totodile can dance, Oak has about twenty Heart Scales just lying around the lab, and when Muk ate the [=TMs=] like cookies he didn't eat the Teleport [=TM=]. Gary is understandably pissed, but winds up accepting the TM and borrowing Dragonite and Gyarados, allowing him to complete at least part of the chain and get an Anorith and a Furfrou out of it.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Even excluding all his other adventures, in the original timeline, he was battling Cyrus trying to prevent the collapse of time.
* OffscreenMomentOfAwesome: [[spoiler: His Kalos League victory]].
* TheCallPutMeOnHold: [[spoiler: Although not noticeable at the time, he was initially unable to be reminded due to being at the epicenter of the old timeline's collapse, but the Lake Trio and Celebi fixed it before Ash met Gary again during the Kanto P1 Grand Prix]].
* TheMentor: To Molly on her Sinnoh journey.
* TheSleepless: Due to the time difference between Poké-Japan (Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh) and Poké-France (Kalos), interacting with Ash and co. really cuts down on his sleep time, which happens more often than he likes.
* TheSmartGuy: For Ash's friends, being a Pokémon researcher in training and all.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Gary's Pokémon]]
!!Blastoise
-----
* {{Expy}}: Of post-TimeSkip [[Anime/TengenToppaGurrenLagann Simon]]. Thanks, Squirtle.
* LargeHam: Again, thanks, Squirtle.
* MacrossMissileMassacre: With sufficient water control, he can do this with water missiles. [[ThisIsADrill Drill-headed water missiles]].
* ShapingYourAttacks: When using Dragon Pulse, he turns it into a gigantic dragon construct like Siebold.
* SuperMode: [[spoiler: Thanks to his new piece of Blastoisinite, implanted into his Simon-style star-sunglasses.]]

!!Dee (Porygon)
-----
* TheSmartGuy: Of Gary's Pokémon. Again, it's justified as she's a computer like Dexter.
* TranslatorBuddy: With a Bluetooth earpiece, she helps Gary understand Poké-speech.

!!Umbreon
-----
* BarrierWarrior: Has really trained up her Reflect and Light Screen shield moves.
* BerserkButton: Don't insult her mother, not even by accident.
** Or rather, don't speak ill of the Umbreon ''species,'' as doing so would include her mother.
* CombatPragmatist: She isn't above using the fact that she's adorable to her advantage in a fight. She ''is'' a Dark-type, after all.
* PoisonousPerson: Knows Toxic. She uses this to deliver a CurbStompBattle to Valerie's Sylveon.
* TheLeader: She's essentially this to Gary's team.
* LikeFatherLikeSon: She holds her mother in high regard, which is why she wanted to evolve into Umbreon.
* StealthHiBye: How she introduces herself to Sableye after Ash & Gary's trade.

!!Nidoqueen

!!Fearow
-----
* FoodAsBribe: How Gary keeps him in line.
* ForWantOfANail: In the original timeline, he was the leader of the Spearow flock that Ash and Pikachu encountered at the beginning of their journey and remained a wild Pokémon. Since Ash avoided him this time around, Gary ran into him instead and caught him.
* PsychoSidekick: Gary has to resort to bribery (with food) to keep him in line.

!!Alakazam
-----
* AttackDrone: How his extra spoons work when [[spoiler: he is Mega-Evolved]], as he can fire beam attacks from them and even charge them with elemental punch attacks.
* OnlySaneMan: Gary tries to argue at one point that he is this for his Pokemon, by Alakazam standards at least.
* NobodyTouchesTheHair: Gets alarmed at Furfrou's suggestion of styling his mustache.
* TheSmartGuy: Very intelligent, though we have yet to see it in battle.
* TeleportersAndTransporters: His Teleport is the only way for Gary to get to and from Kalos in any appreciable time.
* SuperMode: [[spoiler: Has an Alakazamite that he makes good use of.]]

!!Arcanine
-----
* WallJump[=/=]LeParkour: What he likes to practice, ruining Gary's image of him as the OnlySaneMan.

!!Furfrou
-----
* ActionFashionista: Not even using Surf underground will get mud on her fabulous coat. That would be barbaric.
** [[CoveredInGunge Battling a Goomy, on the other hand...]]
* CulturedBadass: Has very exquisite and refined habits, such as keeping up with fashion and drinking artisan coffee. The rest of her team don't quite understand it.
* StoneWall: Her ability, Fur Coat, halves physical damage, and between that, [[StatusBuff Cotton Guard]] and Charm, it means that she doesn't take much damage even from Super Effective Fighting-Type moves. Has a bit of trouble ''dealing'' damage, at least to tough opponents like Lucario.
** So much so that even [[GlassCannon Primeape]] can't do much to her and her fur.

!!Anorith

!!Sableye
The Mega-Evolution-capable Pokémon Ash traded to Gary.
-----
* EatDirtCheap: Loves eating gemstones, as per his species.
* CouldHaveAvoidedThisPlot: After Ash's battle to catch him, he talks about trading him to his friend Gary to help with Mega-Evolution research, and that Gary can get his hands on Sablenite. Sableye immediately exclaims that if he had said that first, he wouldn't have bothered fighting.
* LuckilyMyShieldWillProtectMe: With his huge gemstone shield, he can perform all the classic popular shield maneuvers like ThrowingYourShieldAlwaysWorks and ShieldBash.
* StoneWall: His Mega-Evolution focuses mainly on defense.
* SuperMode: Can Mega Evolve.
[[/folder]]

-----

[[folder:Ritchie Getem]]
A trainer Ash met in the Kanto League with an appearance and Pokémon very similar to Ash's own, by destiny rather than coincidence.
-----
* HeroOfAnotherStory[=/=]TheChosenOne: Was destiny-entangled with Ash, meaning that he was fated to catch similar Pokémon and go on just as many world-changing adventures as Ash himself. This is now broken though, and the differences between the two are becoming more prominent (though he still gets into just as many adventures).
* MirrorBoss: His and Ash's battle at the Indigo League is reminiscent of this; WordOfGod says he was going for a "distorted mirror match", where the two use Pokémon that are similar but different.
** His Ralts, Cid, helps him with his psychic potential, just like Ash and Riolu.
** His Spearow, Nagi, is agile and supersonic in bursts, unlike Pidgeot who is just plain fast.
** His Eevee, a Pokémon with a great deal of adaptability, just like Dexter. Both are also the OddNameOut of their teams, in that Eevee doesn't have a nickname but Dexter does.
* IdenticalStranger: To Ash, even sharing similar {{Punny Name}}s. Many people have mistaken him for Ash on several occasions.
* PsychicPowers: Unlocked his psychic potential thanks to his Ralts (now Gallade), just as Ash was helped with his Aura by Riolu, and Sparky has learned some Psychic tricks as well.
* ShapingYourAttacks: His now-Raichu Sparky can use psychic shaping on his electricity to form [[WhipItGood electro-whips]] and other electric weapons.
* SuperMode: [[spoiler: By the Ever Grande Conference, his now-Gallade Cid has Galladite and can Mega Evolve with it.]]
* TheNicknamer: Almost all his Pokémon have one.
* TimeTravel: Has had more than a few run-ins with Celebi. As such, [[SeenItAll he's unfazed when Ash tells him about his mission from the future.]]
* WeirdnessMagnet: Just like Ash.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Casey Nanako]]
A beginner trainer from New Bark that Ash befriended. Her team consists mostly of yellow-and-black Pokémon as a reference to the Electabuzz baseball team.
-----
* AdaptationalBadass: She successfully uses the FEAR strategy to defeat Ash's ''Charizard'', and later during the Silver Conference, puts up a good fight against Ash.
** [[spoiler: Later chapters show that she's attracted the attention of a Zapdos, who she eventually manages to capture]].
* AttackPatternAlpha: Rarely calls attacks. Instead, she uses baseball references to call tactical plans.
* CrazyPrepared: Has trained her Pokemon specifically on how to fight Ash's Charizard.
* DavidVsGoliath: Her Pokémon are trained to fight Pokémon way more powerful than them, including specifically Ash's Charizard.
* EngineeredHeroics: [[spoiler: The Zapdos following her does this to impress her]].
* SuperMode: [[spoiler:As of Chapter 179, she's acquired a Key Stone to work with the Beedrillite that Ash gave her.]]
* TranslatorBuddy: [[spoiler: Riolu]] serves as one.
* WeakButSkilled: Basically her thing. Her Pokémon don't have anything like the raw power of Ash's team, but they are very very good at rendering raw power worthless. Notably, her Meganium disables Charizard with a long-range vine grapple, keeping him from taking off, moving quickly, or using breath attacks via joint locks.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Drew]]
May's contest rival, who was reminded of the old timeline by Ash.
-----
* AscendedExtra: Plays a bigger role in the Anime/PokemonDestinyDeoxys movie, which makes perfect sense, since he's from [=LaRousse=] City.
* KidFromTheFuture: After being reminded, he caught an Eevee, which evolved into a Leafeon, which had an egg [[spoiler: that turned out to be May's Glaceon.]]
* OneDegreeOfSeparation: His Butterfree [[spoiler:is one of Ash's Butterfree's children.]]
* OneSteveLimit: It's been lampshaded several times that a few of his Pokémon (Absol, Flygon, Butterfree) are Pokémon Ash and Co. already have.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Barry]]
A very excitable beginner trainer from Twinleaf Town that Dawn knows.
-----
* ArtAttacker: How his Smeargle uses his Sketched moves: drawing art in mid-air that transforms into that move.
* BigOlEyebrows: His Smeargle has a very expressive face. If even that doesn't work, he [[TalkingWithSigns Talks With Signs]].
* CloudcuckoolandersMinder: All his Pokémon seem to be this for him.
* CollectorOfTheStrange: With his obtaining of a Smeargle, he's decided to collect rare Pokémon moves, like very powerful autographs.
* {{Keet}}: Like stated above, very excitable.
* MidBattleTeaBreak: Smeargle stops a battle because Barry keeps telling him to use moves he doesn't have yet.
* MotorMouth: Seriously, the guy will not shut up for anything.
* WildMassGuessing: Indulges in this ''a lot'', mostly revolving around Ash and a lot of stuff he reads online. Lately it's veered into outright ConspiracyTheorist levels.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Paul]]
A very intense trainer that Ash first met in Sinnoh.
-----
* ArrogantKungFuGuy: Even if he doesn't call them that directly, he obviously disdains those who have taken Ash's offer of reminding as having taken the easy way out.
* DiscardAndDraw: Ash convinves a ChallengeSeeker Cranidos to join his team in place of Chimchar/Infernape.
* EveryoneHasStandards: Well, sort of. His reaction to finding out he sent out Chimchar against Cynthia's Garchomp in the previous timeline despite the type and level disadvantage is wondering what possessed him to do that.
* FishOutOfTemporalWater: The case of the ChallengeSeeker Cranidos that Ash finds for him in exchange for Chimchar.
* {{Jerkass}}: Even if he respects Ash for all his accomplishments, that doesn't change the fact that he's a git.
* RefusalOfTheCall: Ash told him he could be reminded of the previous timeline, but he refused, declaring it as too much of a shortcut.
* TheComicallySerious: His recent scenes of being a Tag Battle partner with ''Mawile'' and battling against the MotorMouth Barry place him in this role.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Zoey]]
A Coordinator from Sinnoh, and Dawn's primary rival. She was working with Gary to free the Lake Guardians when the previous timeline ended.
-----
* TheCallPutMeOnHold: Ash was initially unable to Remind her, despite Zoey being more than qualified, [[spoiler: due to being at the epicenter of the original timeline's collapse]]. It took the aid of the Lake Guardians and Jirachi to get it right.
* CurbStompBattle: Dawn beats her pretty easily in a Contest battle, though Zoey hadn't been reminded at the time.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: [[spoiler: Fought alongside Gary in the old timeline to try and stop Cyrus and save the Lake Trio]].
[[/folder]]

!!Other Humans
[[folder:Molly Hale and her Eevee]]
Childhood friend of the Ketchums, Molly used the power of the Unown to call from copies of Entei, Scuicune, and Raikou to keep her company, alongside Pokémon copies of her own to battle with. After the events at Greenfield, the three beasts and her Eevee were turned into real Pokémon, but Shiny. As of now, she is travelling through Sinnoh with Gary as her mentor.
-----
* AchievementsInIgnorance: The reason her Eevee can switch forms at the drop of a hat is that Molly misunderstood how Eevee's branching evolution worked in the first place.
* BadassAdorable: Molly displays potential in becoming a successful Pokémon trainer during her battles with Misty and Brock, and manages to complete her trainer license by the end of the Hoenn arc.
* BecomeARealBoy: Eevee turns into a real (shiny) Eevee thanks to a little help from Mewtwo.
* {{Expy}}: Eevee shares the same shapeshifting powers as [[Manga/PokemonSpecial Vee]].
* GrewBeyondTheirProgramming: Eevee started out more like the other Pokemon the Unown created for Molly to battle with, but a number of factors led to her becoming more similar to the Unown spawned Beasts.
* MultiformBalance: Eevee can turn into any of her evolutions at any time. Even Sylveon, which until the CosmicRetcon following 4Ever, didn't even have an official type. [[spoiler:In fact, Sylveon is the ''reason'' why the CosmicRetcon created the Fairy type in the first place, as due to a TimeCrash, she was present at the creation of the world and Arceus decided to do a SureLetsGoWithThat]].
* {{Omniglot}}: As a result of her encounter with the Unown, Molly can speak Pokémon like Ash and co. can, except she hasn't had any aura training. Seeing as the incident that caused this was potentially life-scarring, her parents are content that ''this'' was the only side effect that directly affected her.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:N]]
The King of Team Plasma, groomed to be the Hero of Truth by his adoptive father Ghestis so that he can gain the loyalty of Reshiram and separate humans and Pokémon. This has changed after observing so much of the world, and he now has gone off on his own to discover the real truth.
-----
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Has gone off with his sisters Anthea and Concordia, his Zorua and Reshiram to figure out the real truth of the world.
* HopelessWithTech: His sheltered upbringing as well as his father's teachings meant that he knows very little about how to use Poké-balls, which becomes an issue when [[spoiler: Reshiram asks for one]].
* OverlyLongName: Natural Harmonia Gropius.
* ScrewThisImOuttaHere: Flies away from Team Plasma after [[LivingLieDetector Reshiram]] detects and reveals all of Ghestis's lies.
[[/folder]]

[[folder:Wes and Rui]]
The protagonists of VideoGame/PokemonColosseum, a former criminal turned vigilante and a girl capable of seeing aura. They hunt the corrupted Shadow Pokémon in an attempt to capture and purify them.
-----
* AuraVision: Rui's ability to find Shadow Pokemon is confirmed to be Aura based.
* ExcuseMeWhileIMultitask: They can't be bothered to stop bicker-flirting while Wes's Metagross wipes the floor with Cipher Grunts.
* HeroOfAnotherStory: Have fought Cipher many times before, and Rui mentions Michael, the protagonist of "Gale of Darkness" at one point.
