* AdaptationalWimp. Downplated. Prometheus in the comics once beat the entire JLA without breaking a sweat, and before his VillainDecay kicked he was usually portrayed as a pseudo-InvincibleVillain that could defeat anyone with enough planning. This version of Prometheus also doesn't have the advanced technology that allowed him to replicate the fighting skills of every superhero in the DC Universe and is unable to detect everyone's weaknesses. Even still, he most definitely has enough skill to combat Green Arrow and his allies.

* GutturalGrowler: His natural voice, unlike the disguise's smooth baritone, has a distinct raspy growl.

* SmugSnake: Boasts that he's ten steps ahead of Arrow... This just shows how arrogant he is, and he thinks he will win. When he loses, he acts like a sore loser.

* BreakoutVillain: He proved popular enough to have a (sort of) alternate universe counterpart of himself appear during ''Crisis on Earth X'' and later appeared as a Vertigo hallucination during Season 6 of ''Arrow''. He also had a proper alternate universe counterpart (from Earth-2) appearing in Season 8 where he was that universe's version of Green Arrow.

* BreakoutVillain: He proved so popular enough to that despite being KilledOffForReal at the end of Season 5, the writers have repeatedly found ways to bring him back post-mortem. In ''Series/CrisisOnEarthX'' he had a (sort of) alternate universe counterpart of himself appear during ''Crisis on Earth X'' and later show up among the Nazi rank. Later Earth-1 Chase himself appeared as a Vertigo hallucination during Season 6 of ''Arrow''. ''Arrow'' to continue haunting Oliver. * KickTheSonOfABitch:
** Murdering Tobias Church, a murderous drug dealer and unrepentant criminal. He didn't have any kind of altruistic motive, but no one's about to feel sorry for Church.
** Leaving his team to die on Lian Yu in the Season Five finale. As cruel an act as it may be, it's hard to sympathize with the victims of Prometheus's treachery (Talia, who helped set Prometheus's rampage in motion; Evelyn, who double-crossed Oliver and Team Arrow with zero remorse; and Black Siren, who followed Prometheus's sadistic DeadPersonImpersonation game).

dewicking Badass Baritone

* BadassBaritone: The voice changer he uses gives him one. His regular speaking voice is more of a medium-pitched rasp.

* CastAsAMask: When he wears his mask, Prometheus's [[BadassBaritone deep voice]] is provided by Michael Dorn to hide his true identity, played by Josh Segarra.

* PracticallyJoker: All in all, this guy is pretty much the Joker without the clown gimmick. He takes a lot of queues from the Clown Prince of Crime, being the psychotic ArchEnemy and EvilCounterpart of TheHero who is a Batman analogue. He is deeply obsessed with ruining the hero's life, being completely depraved of humanity and dedicates his entire life to his cause. This becomes even more apparent in Season Six where he returns as a Vertigo induced hallucination to haunt Oliver, very much like Joker did to Batman in ''VideoGame/BatmanArkhamKnight'', establishing himself as the one enemy Oliver can never be truly rid of.

DCEU stuff should not be troped here

* NiceMeanAndInBetween: Out of the three adaptions of Adrian Chase, he is the mean to his nice Earth-2 counterpart and his in-between counterpart from ''Series/Peacemaker2022''. Unlike them Simon is a villain who is willing to do anything to get revenge on Oliver, including killing his own wife when she asked him to stop.
