Added DiffLines:

* NiceGirl: She's very kind, cordial and easygoing, and has a good sense of humour, getting along with just about everyone on Ant Island.

Added DiffLines:

* OnlySaneWoman: She's definitely the most down-to-earth and least eccentric of the circus bugs. PT Flea is a money-obsessed RepulsiveRingmaster, Francis frequently has his BerserkButton pushed, Heimlich is both a BigEater and a FatIdiot, Slim is neurotic and often sulks about the roles he gets cast in, Manny has an occasional tendency to be pompous and melodramatic, Tuck and Roll are both chaotic and anarchic, and Dim is a {{Manchild}}. Gypsy is about the only other character in the troupe who can match her in terms of sanity, in spite of similarly acting melodramatic from time to time (and she also happens to be the only other female bug in the group, thus adding in an element of WomenAreWiser).

If Rosie is still feminine in a punkish way, her dynamic with Gypsy would more accurately be Light Feminine And Dark Feminine.

* GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak: While Rosie is naturally a gentle, motherly spider who keeps out of conflict as much as she can, she is also the beast-tamer of the group, and she will always be firm and stand her ground while doing her act.

* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: With Gypsy. Rosie is the gentle-natured TeamMom of the circus bugs, but she also acts as the beast-tamer in her acts with Dim, making her a GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak, and has a more gothic appearance, in contrast to Gypsy having a brightly-coloured body and acting as the lovely assistant in Manny's magic acts.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: The tomboy to Gypsy's girly girl, though she's still rather feminine herself in a punkish sort of way.

* LightFeminineAndDarkFeminine: Gypsy has this dynamic with Rosie. She is more of a full-blown GirlyGirl, having a vibrant, brightly-coloured body, acting as Manny's lovely assistant in his magic acts with her, and being the most soft-spoken of the circus bugs, while Rosie is more of a GirlyGirlWithATomboyStreak due to her role as the tamer in her acts with Dim, and has a darker body with a more gothic appearance, while still also being the good-natured TeamMom of the group.

* TomboyAndGirlyGirl: Gypsy acts as the girly girl to Rosie's tomboy.

* OnlySaneByComparison: He may be neurotic and have a slightly stuffy, elitist attitude towards the roles he keeps getting cast in, but he's definitely the most sensible and grounded of the circus troupe's three clowns, compared to the hot-tempered Francis and the gluttonous and somewhat dim-witted Heimlich.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Francis.

* VitriolicBestBuds: With Francis.Even if he and Francis frequently butt heads with each other, the friendship they have is still genuine. After Francis disappears into one of the cracks in the ground while saving a falling Dot, Slim is shown to be by far the most worried about his safety, saying his name in a panicky way several times.

* CainAndAbel: The Abel to Hopper's Cain. Molt is far nicer and personable than Hopper, who thrives on picking on weaker species and treating everyone around him like dirt. At one point, Hopper flat-out tells Molt to his face that the only reason he hasn't played this trope straight and killed him is because [[EvenBadMenLoveTheirMamas he promised their mother on her deathbed that he wouldn't]].

He's willing to be burned twice a night for an act that has become a huge hit and Francis is able to distract him simply by pointing behind him and yelling, "Money!". * TooCleverByHalf: Hopper is smart enough to know that the ants far outnumber the grasshoppers and that they need to be kept in line for the grasshopper' sake. Unfortunately, he isn't smart enough to realize that doubling down on his cruelty towards them is what will cause them to rebel as opposed to keeping them eternally submissive.

* WhatExactlyIsHisJob: The only justification Hopper gives to the ants for his reign is some vague talk about the grasshoppers protecting them from more dangerous insects but the ants seem to not have any enemies except for Hopper. It's Flik pointing out that Grasshoppers need ants, not the other way around, that leads to the ants finally pushing back.

* NotSoWellIntentionedExtremist: He's put on a show of telling the ants that they need to hold up their end of the bargain by providing the grasshoppers with grain for food, or else they won't be able to protect the ants from other insects who might take advantage of them. However, it becomes clear extremely quickly that the whole thing is just an excuse to bully the ants for [[ForTheEvulz his own pleasure]]; the grasshoppers already have more than enough food, he doesn't even ''like'' grain, and [[WindmillPolitical there's no evidence that the insects he's supposedly protecting the ants against even exist]], and even if they did, the ants never actually required the grasshoppers' protection to begin with.

Removing Berserk Button misuse per suggestion on the "Is this an example?" thread.

* BerserkButton: Challenging his authority or standing up to him, due to him being a ControlFreak tyrant and bully. He's visibly angered when Flick talks back to him while trying to defend Atta, and doubles down the offering because of it, and when Molt tells him that perhaps they should stay at their lair rather than return to Ant's Island he immediately becomes enraged and nearly beat Molt before killing the three grasshoppers who suggested the idea to Molt for questionning his decision in the first place.

I agree with the characterisations but I disagree with the assumption that restraint is out of morality and not simply out of pragmatism.

** Another minor case: At the start of the film she's terrified of Hopper, and when he demands to know what happened to the food she tries to pass the buck to Flik (though in her case she really didn't do it). At the end of the film, when Hopper is furious with [[spoiler:the false bird]] and demands to know who did it, Atta is calmly willing to take the blame to protect Flik (and the Blueberries), and stands up for Flik when Hopper is prepared to kill him over it.

He acts like a vicious, psychotic animal who has to be leashed to stop him from attacking the ants, but in Hopper's hideout, he acts much more civilized around the other grasshoppers.
