Before his family can properly appreciate his still being alive, CerebusSyndrome kicks in and the group now has to defeat a gang of so-called "lingual purists" who have destroyed the Californian's college and will do whatever they can to eliminate all languages save English.
** [[spoiler: "Family Matters"]]: The shy German girl is punished by her mother for not meeting strict standards that would otherwise be passable. Then her mother finds out about her friends and forbids her from talking to them.
** [[spoiler: "Lingual Mechination"]]: The AuthorAvatar and her friends receive magical compasses that, when used, can change their giant ship into one of six different mechas. They use it on the purists when they return.
** [[spoiler: "A Few Crude Stams"]]: As a result 1984-esque relations, an innocent Pokemon is incarcerated. The AuthorAvatar is asked to defend him.
** [[spoiler: "Jeetje!"]]: Most of the friends and family on the boat slowly undergo character death. It's up to the AuthorAvatar and the OnlySaneMan to figure out what's going on.

** [[spoiler: "Name-Words and Work-Words"]]: The AuthorAvatar, the GenkiGirl and the OnlySaneMan find a very literal corner of an alternate dimension that quickly earns the former two's love and the latter's disdain.
** [[spoiler: "Plan #1123"]]: It’s the AuthorAvatar’s birthday, and to celebrate she decides to write an entire play about the story of her birth. Meanwhile, the Californian gets homesick, prompting his [[DysfunctionalFamily family]]— and a bunch of builders— to intervene.
** [[spoiler: "The Mark Will Be Made"]]: The group return to the Californian’s college and attempt to come up with a motto. Meanwhile, the purists attack said college yet again, prompting the shy German to try and fight back.
** [[spoiler: "Spotted: The Mysterious DIROB"]]: It’s Christmas in California, and the sophisticated German decides to investigate an interdimensional rumor and report back on it.
** [[spoiler: "To the EHD!"]]: The group goes to a strange dimension and discover a snarky time-traveling train. The train quickly bonds with the Californian, and helps the group learn about the titular construct of Dutch word order, along with Dutch tenses, through a journey through time.
** [[spoiler: "Cornelisse's Guide to Free Lemonade"]]: The Californian is punished by his mother for something he didn’t do by getting bogged down with a bunch of chores. The Dutch GenkiGirl and the AuthorAvatar help to make said punishment— and practically ''every chore ever''— more tolerable by treating them not as chores, but as completely different situations entirely. Through it all, they also help to try and appeal the Californian’s case to his mother. [[spoiler: When the Californian eventually has had enough and decides to stand up for himself, [[SurprisinglyRealisticOutcome it doesn’t work.]] He’s further bogged down with punishment [[YouAreGrounded by being kicked off the ship and sent back to California.]] It eventually leads to one of the more [[BittersweetEnding bittersweet endings]] in the series' history.]]
** [[spoiler: "Turning Japanese"]]: The crazy French family discover a bunch of Japanese hiragana on the wall of the Californian’s bedroom and ask him to teach them Japanese. He does, which gives the AuthorAvatar an idea for [[JustForFun/TheGigglingHorseshoe a new children’s book]]. Meanwhile, the Californian’s siblings discover this and try to appeal to his mother. [[spoiler: This time, [[EarnYourHappyEnding it works.]]]]
** [[spoiler: "I Know That I've Been Replaced"]]: The group is allowed to return to the strange dimension, and quickly discover that the nouns in said dimension- represented by a bunch of alphabetical creatures- feel left out and neglected due to a little thing called the existence of pronouns. While the AuthorAvatar and the Californian find out how they work, the nouns stage an uprising against the pronouns. [[BeCarefulWhatYouWishFor It works too well.]]
** [[spoiler: "The Climb Descends"]]: The most optimistic kid in the eccentric French mnemonic family asks the Californian to teach him kanji. A shame said kid's optimism inhibits his ability to learn.
** [[spoiler: "House of Avoirs"]]: The laziest kid in the eccentric French mnemonic family learns the identity of his biological parents: [[spoiler: their next-door neighbors.]] He promptly has an identity crisis. A lot of CharacterDevelopment and SugarWiki/HeartwarmingMoments ensue. Meanwhile, the group meets and interacts with said next-door neighbors, and we get a fun DevelopmentGag as to what the fast-talking kid’s personality was ''supposed'' to be like.

* [[spoiler:''Fanfic/{{Luminosity}}'']]: An entire book series is redone by giving the main character a brain. [[BetterThanCanon It ends up better than the series.]]

* [[spoiler:''Fanfic/PokemonCrossingFlyMeToTheMoon'']]: ''VideoGame/PokemonOmegaRubyAndAlphaSapphire'' [[RecycledInSpace but everyone's a furry]]

* ''Fanfic/PurpleDays'': A [[EnfantTerrible child psychopath]] gets stuck in [[GroundhogDayLoop Groundhog Day]] until he becomes a mystic who's trying to save the world from snow zombies.

* ''Fanfic/AbraxasHrodvitnon'': A severed male dragon head gets pregnant with a dead woman, it vomits her out as a human-reptile monster thingy, and the monster-woman and the dragon head which is now growing out of her back become a SiblingTeam.
