** When Logan, an emissary for General Draghwood of Marden, makes the mistake of insulting Ninym, Wein managed to [[TranquilFury stay calm]], but the next day, he beheaded Logan, disguised himself as a messenger to deliver his head to Draghwood, and then cut Draghwood in half after maneuvering the bulk of Marden's army away from Draghwood's camp.

** When King Ordalasse offers to have the Flahm of Natra brought to him so that he can hunt them for sport, and even offers to have Wein join him in hunting Ninym, Wein's response is to kick him down, kill his bodyguard and then run the king through.

** Never threaten Albus Dumbledore's students in front of him, the ''only time'' we ever see Dumbledore get angry at Umbridge-a SadisticTeacher who represents the regime that have been slandering him for months, and who is slowly taking over his school-is when she manhandles Marietta.

** Go ahead and mention anything even ''remotely'' magic-related in front of Uncle Vernon. I double-dare you.

* In ''The Ashtown Burials'', Antigone hits Nolan's ''hard'' by suggesting he stole the supplies he gives her and Cyrus. Granted, it's a little insulting, but attempting to fling her out of the Polygon into a room of [[SpidersAreScary deadly venomous spiders]] is something of an overreaction, though he backflips immediately to rescuing her from the spiders and apologising tearfully. The later reveal that [[spoiler: an accusation of theft is what led to him being [[DisproportionateRetribution cursed and outcast for thousands of years]]]] makes the response seem somewhat plausible, though still not reasonable.

* Merely being around the fluffy bunnies of a particular cartoon universe turns the main villain of Craig Shaw Gardner's Cineverse Cycle into a ranting Gargamel {{expy}}.

* In the Literature/EightySeventhPrecinct novel ''Ice'', "man of the cloth" Brother Anthony does not take kindly to people who don't think his somewhat... er... ample girlfriend Emma is as sexy as he thinks she is. And don't think for a second that Emma doesn't return his affection. [[spoiler:Tim, the novel's BigBad and Brother Anthony's killer, found this out the hard way after he got off scot-free for his main crimes; [[LaserGuidedKarma she killed him]] in return.]]

* In the Creator/DavidGemmell book ''Legend'', Rek's quality as TheBerserker first comes out when someone tries to reach into his mind and he loses it in spectacular fashion.

* In ''Puss-Cat Mew'', you don't EVER diss the title character in Joe's hearing. He will turn you and your companions against each other and then kill you.

* Sawyer Snipe in Robyn Manx's novel ''The Rebel'' practically ''never'' gets angry...unless you insinuate that his band's music is drug-induced.

* [[TheDandy Julius Norreys]] in the ''Society of Gentlemen'' series is usually a detached {{Gentleman Snarker}} who avoids getting involved with his friends' problems or petty drama whenever he can and is quick to dismiss others, but the second someone might hurt or endanger his lover Harry, he does not hold back. It often makes his friends suddenly remember that he was once a military officer.
** A more comical example, when Julius and Harry have a bad falling out, [[TheFashionista Julius]] ends up picking a yelling match with him in public... because Harry bought an ugly puce coat.

* In Tim Dorsey's novels ''Torpedo Juice'' and ''Shark Skin Suite'', using Molly's guest towels -- at least if you get them dirty -- could get you dead. Molly is not your maid.

* ''Literature/TwentyThousandLeaguesUnderTheSea'': Ned Land discovers that he must never surrender to TheEmpire while Nemo is TheCaptain at the Nautilus.

* In Esther M. Freisner's ''Unicorn U.'', someone addresses the GoodIsNotNice BloodKnight LadySwearsALot [[spoiler:MamaBear]] titular {{unicorn}} as "Goldie" (the name by which she was introduced) one time too many. Her name is ''{{Fluffy|TheTerrible}}'', which is Unicorn for "shining vengeance," and anyone who has the temerity to make fun of it is going to ''get that explained to them the hard way''.

* In ''Vintage Murder'' by Creator/NgaioMarsh, it's really not a good idea to call Doctor Rangi Te Pokiha a Māori a liar. Or use the N-word to his face.

** One played for laughs: don't steal MISAKA 10032's nightvision goggles. She's got an assault rifle in her schoolbag and unless the thief is [[HiveQueen Last Order]], she WILL shoot to kill. She also gets pissed if people eat food (like candy) shaped like animals, especially if she was [[CutenessProximity admiring them]]. When people try to justify it by saying it was not really the animal, she just gets angrier because it reminds her of how she is a clone.
** And the original Misaka Mikoto has a few as well. On the comedic side, we have Kuroko trying to peek at her panties, Touma continuously defeating her in fair fights, and being mistaken for a child.

* ''LightNovel/FateRequiem'': Koharu F Riedenflaus hates having her family's competence questioned in any way, no matter how minor. After a battle, when Karin offers to help heal her injuries, she gets angry at the implication that the Reidenflaus' treatment methods were not enough.

* A few characters in ''LightNovel/IsThisAZombie'' have at least one. For example, don't casually tell anyone to go die. Eucliwood has experienced death every time she brought someone back from the dead, but fortunately, offenders have been known to merely get a slap on the wrist from her for the effort. Also, do ''not'' abuse Eucliwood's powers, or Seraphim will be so furious she'll leave her footprint on your face.

* Do not touch Takuto from ''LightNovel/MagiciansAcademy'' in an even vaguely lascivious manner when Suzuho is around, or she'll whip out her SuperpoweredEvilSide and try to beat the crap out of you (especially if your name is Tanarotte, who, to be fair, can give the punishment right back).

* ''LightNovel/NyarukoCrawlingWithLove'': Mahiro Yasaka is a big fan of the ''Franchise/CthulhuMythos''. If anyone insults it, he's liable to stab them with a fork.
