* During Bethesda's E3 2016 press conference they dropped a bombshell. Quake is back with the new game of Quake Champions. When revealing the trailer they opened up to a DOS-esque load up screen giving off a list of ID's video games from Commander Keen to Doom 4. In the list it revealed the next game in the Wolfenstein series, Wolfenstein The New Colossus.
* A minor one: most of the newspaper clippings found throughout the game serve to highlight what a CrapsackWorld the world has become after they were subjugated by the Nazis. The one exception to this? The French news clippings, which imply that twenty years later, the French Resistance is ''still'' fighting the Nazis, [[{{Determinator}} and are no closer to giving up than they were at the start of the war]]. It's pretty damn awesome to know that one country is still fighting after most of the rest of the world has gone to heck in a handcart.

* Toward the end of ''The Old Blood'', you have to save either [[spoiler:Kessler]] or [[spoiler:Annette]] from the hoard of Shamblers. Whichever one you end up saving will pull off some impressive feats in the process. [[spoiler:Annette]], in spite of being just a young girl, manages to kill at least one zombie with a Luger she stole in the chaos, and later succeeds in liberating her friend from their burning, zombie-infested house. [[spoiler:Kessler]], on the other hand, holds off the undead hordes with nothing more than a simple ''hatchet''. He later refuses when BJ offers him his shotgun back, and manages to single-handedly take over a Nazi airship to escape with.
* Normal zombies are kind of dull, so what does ''The Old Blood'' do to make them suddenly and unexpectedly threatening? By making them FLAMING zombies spontaneously combusting and lighting half the town on fire! Also there are zombie that can wield guns!

Despite being a [[NonActionGuy Non-Action-Girl]] backed into a corner, she takes out ''thirteen'' EliteMooks with a pair of pistols and says she killed seven others earlier. She even has the corpses stacked like firewood. [[spoiler: And when she goes down she takes a couple more with her, [[OoCIsSeriousBusiness breaking her]] [[YouAreBetterThanYouThinkYouAre predictive model]].]]

* J's [[spoiler: death]], in which [[spoiler: he goes down]] playing an acidic version of the Star Spangled Banner on guitar ''for all of Berlin to hear''. Even better when you consider that J is more than likely [[spoiler: Jimi Hendrix, who was famous for playing the national anthem at Woodstock in 1969]].

* Stealing the [[FutureCopter Project Whisper helicopters]]. Complete with CrowningMusicOfAwesome and the fact that these choppers' rotors can fold up and redeploy in the span of less than 5 seconds and turn on a dime, enough to fit into a sewer system!

* The destruction of the Gibraltar Bridge and the facade of Deathshead's main base in the finale. Both of them are performed using some kind of Da'at Yichud sphere thing that shoots out a mess of cables and uses ''torsion'' to bring them down in an awe-inspiring display of destruction.

* [[spoiler: B.J. singlehandedly destroying the [[GiantMecha London]] [[TheDreaded Monitor]], London's instrument of fear.]]

* After [[spoiler: Klaus is shot, Max Hass came to your rescue. He lifted one of sewer gate there to let you access Kreisau HQ before shutting it off, leaving you alone.]] You'd thought the man would die surrounded by that much Nazis but no. [[spoiler: The scene on helicopter has him listening to Klaus' last words, [[OffscreenMomentOfAwesome looking not much worse for wear!]] ]]
