* ''The Untamed'' takes Wei Wuxian's badassery in archery UpToEleven when, while blindfolded, he shoots not one but ''five targets at once'' with each arrow hitting the bullseye. It even impresses Nie Mingjue and Lan Xichen enough to be the first to clap in earnest.

** Regarding actors, almost the entire cast deserves a round of applause, given that majority of the main and supporting cast ''never'' studied acting prior to being cast in ''The Untamed''. And yet they're able to sell the roles they were playing, which is a huge part of what drew the audience in the first place.

* Jin Zixuan and Lan Wangji standing up to the Wens in the Xuanwu Cave, and the fight that follows after. Whereas the donghua gave us ten seconds of action at best, ''The Untamed'' extends it to about two minutes, and we get to see four of the five highest-ranked cultivators kick ass in all their finery.

* Lan Wangji arriving at the Nightless City to ambush some Wen soldiers and ask them about Wei Wuxian's whereabouts, all the while in a state of ice-cold TranquilFury. Think of Episode 14 of the donghua, but this time he's in complete control of his emotions and is the one with the upper hand -- both of which form a deadly combination from someone like [[BewareTheQuietOnes Lan Wangji]].

* The series is basically WinTheCrowd personified, as seen when its rating in Douban increases from 4.4 to ''8.0''. Sure, it's not a 9, but it still went so far from a remarkably low score and as such it's nothing to scoff at.

* Ouyang Zizhen verbally giving Sect Leader Yao and his own father what for when they remain ungrateful towards Wei Wuxian for saving their lives, reminding them that if it weren't for the latter they would have all been zombie fodder by now. Not even Jiang Cheng's subtle threats towards his father do anything to intimidate the young lad.

* ''The Untamed'' keeps the scene where Mianmian basically gives all the cultivation sects the middle finger before leaving. There's even more weight in this adaptation since she's standing up directly to the Jin Sect.

* SugarWiki/AndTheFandomRejoiced when Lan Wangji tells Wei Wuxian the name of the song: "[=WangXian=]".

* Say what you will about the LiveActionAdaptation, but the behind-the-scenes videos show the sheer amount of effort the production team had made into creating the show, from crafting all the props used in the series from scratch, to training the entire cast in music, arts, calligraphy, and swordplay -- which all in all is nothing short of incredible.
