** As a side note the New Devourer. As mentioned above, literally the entire ork race throws itself against it. The result is an epic [[CurbStompBattle curb stomp battle]] that only ends when the orks are completely wiped out.
* The last battle of Brother-Captain Stern of the Grey Knights, given that he came closest to killing Abaddon. Although It becomes something of an [[EpicFail Epic Fail]] when he removes his helmet for the killing blow and [[spoiler:gets his head shot off by a humble guardsman]]

** That alone deserves elaboration: Valchocht was a BodyOfBodies, made from countless Terran corpses and remnants of Terra, using the Emperor's corpse as a face. The Custodes single handedly fought his way through armies of demons, and claimed the behemoth by himself. He was swallowed whole, but his sacrifice inspired the defenders to swarm the beast, freeing the Emperor's corpse, though they couldn't bring the monster down. Until it suddenly collapsed, seemingly without reason... Until the Custodes slit its gut open from the inside, climbing out holding its still beating heart.
