* Beth's RousingSpeech to a crowd of fair guests about how it is time to put Michael behind them and start celebrating Halloween again. Granted, she's wrong about him being gone for good, but she still delivers it with a lot of power and emotion.
--> '''Beth''': We are not going to allow the powers that be tell us what to do anymore. For years Halloween represented everything wrong with Haddonfield, but Michael Myers is gone. There is no Boogeyman.

Lmao what is this page? There's someone simping for Kara for some reason, and some other guy who didn't even watch the movie coming up with generic terms to call it the best Halloween sequel. Just...no. First dude just needs to go jerk off, and second dude has never seen the movie.

* Kara, what a fantastic female lead. She carries an elegance, seriousness, and subtle, understated pain and resilience that gives her a much greater sense of depth than previous female leads Laurie, Rachel, and Tina combined. It also helps that she's such a striking, ethereal beauty as opposed to the more average girl-next-door looks of the previous female leads.
* As much as people hate on this film for the cult aspect, this film had the job of explaining and wrapping up the hokey cult stuff set up in and hinted at throughout 4 and 5 (and even a bit in II with Michael scrawling "SAMHAIN" onto the school's chalkboard), and considering what it had to work with, it did a stellar job. It makes the cult seem genuinely scary and threatening.
* People really rag on this film, but this troper finds it to be by far the best sequel in the original '81 to '02 run of sequels, and painfully underrated. Its cinematography is truly wonderful and by far the best in the series since the original film (if not ''better'' than the original film's cinematography). It makes Michael scary and imposing again after he was so comical in 4 and emotional in 5. Paul Rudd does a great job as the new, grown-up Tommy, especially in his first Hollywood role. Donald Pleasence is at his best with Loomis here. The film was far moodier, darker, and more atmospheric than any sequel in the entire series until Rob Zombie's sequel and the 2018 sequel. The female lead is great, the soundtrack is great, it's just wonderful all around. The theatrical version has some odd cuts that don't make a lot of sense, but otherwise this movie is far, ''far'' better than people give it credit for.

It's even more impressive when you learn that he was gravely ill during filming and died shortly after production wrapped up.

Of course, Michael obliges and Tommy goes back to frantically trying to free Kara as the boogieman advances down the corridor.

** Even better is the way he starts it off. After coming upon the operation room where the cult is in, Michael sees a medical tray full of operating tools. At first, it appears as if he's gonna grab a scalpel like in ''Halloween II'' only for him to grab something else. That something? ''A surgical machete.'' Michael's gonna make it ''very'' clear to them.
