** Prior to this, Steelbeak and the brainwashed villains had made quick work of Darkwing, Gizmoduck, Lena, Manny, Violet, and B.O.Y.D. during the skirmish, rapidly capturing all of them and deactivating the Gizmoduck armor. At this point, all the villains are still up and fighting, while Launchpad is the only good guy left. It takes several minutes of concentrated effort from them to put Launchpad down, and even then, the people around him expressing their faith gives him an instant HeroicSecondWind. AdaptationalWimp he might be, but Launchpad's probably still the toughest fighter the McDucks have short of Donald himself.

* In the original series, Tarus Bulba was a nigh-unstoppable juggernaut who physically dominated every encounter with Darkwing, who only managed to get in one good kick during their first battle. And that was before he was upgraded into a powerful cyborg. But in this series, Darkwing is actually able to fight him on a more even level, delivering several effective blows and using his speed to easily counter Bulba's size and strength advantage.

** What really sells the moment is how Magica, who frequently goes off on verbose rants about her desire to destroy her sworn enemies, is completely calm as she casts the spell that robs Bradford of his sentience. No rants, no screams, to the point it's almost like she think's he not good enough to warrant that.

No meta moment, see this query.

* A Meta example goes towards the writers of this episode. Despite it being a parody of sitcoms from the 90s, to the point they had Jaleel White (as in Urkel himself) voice Gene the Genie, they refrained from making the most obvious jokes possible by not having Gene do impersonations of Urkel or Jaleel's other infamous 90s role as the original voice of Franchise/SonicTheHedgehogSpecially considering that Jaleel isn't the only Film/TheHedgehog2020 voice actor to appear in the episode, and yet still created something hilarious in Gene's updated characterization.

* A Meta example: the Rescue Rangers were one of the Disney Afternoon properties which the production team wasn't allowed to use. They managed to sneak them in anyway, and by the time they were found out, the executives allowed it.
** The way they snuck them in. In the script, they were only labeled as "Intelligent Rodents" and it wasn't clear it was the Rangers until it went to music and storyboard, at which the point the execs were left with a MortonsFork: Either force the team to cut them, which would force them to rewrite the whole episode, possibly forcing them to delay the season, or let them stay in.
** Even better: using the Rangers in an episode with Steelbeak makes this the first time that the show has used elements of two different Disney Afternoon series in one episode.

* On a meta level, Daisy's portrayal was met with pretty much unanimous praise among fans, many calling her one of the best versions of Daisy yet, no small feat considering just how much history the character has.

* Meta example, but it has been confirmed that Penumbra is a lesbian, bring more LBGT+ represention into the show.
** Another meta example, but many fans felt that the way Penumbra handed turning Launchpad down, via telling him that she just isn't interested, and Launchpad taking it well, was seen as a very good lesson to teach.

* In a meta example, Quackerjack's voice actor Michael Bell returns at age 82 to reprise his role.
* This episode has become the second episode of the series to be posted on Youtube for free by Disney.

** Meta-example: A Hades that is actually DarkIsNotEvil for once, more concerned with doing his job fairly whilst having no desire to be actively involved the chicanery and drama his family tends to cause and get into. And from Disney, no less.

* Bradford absorbs mystical lightning from the sky to fire a KamehameHadouken at Scrooge, who is unable to act or move due to not being allowed to adventure thanks to the contract. All he can do is stand there helplessly and watch his end approaching him. And then Donald lands in between them, singlehandedly using an entire section of broken metal to deflect the beam. He manages to hold it for several seconds, forcing Bradford to up the power to try and overwhelm him. But those precious few seconds are enough for the others to rally and come to Donald's aid.

** Keep in mind that the three of them spent the entirety of the previous episode blaming Scrooge for their actions. They had time to think about it throughout the finale and seemingly accept that it was the other way around and Scrooge only became their enemy, calling out Bradford for still blaming Scrooge for everything he's done.
