This is a bold move coming from someone who once dreaded the idea of coming out. The notoriety Conor gets from this incident also gives him an excuse to leave his DeadEndJob and do more meaningful work as an online activist.]]
* Conor punching Kiev for [[spoiler:letting T-Rex [[SleepingTheirWayToTheTop sexually exploit]] Simon.]]
* Despite not being related by blood, [[spoiler:Mrs. Lee's MamaBear instincts for Simon are genuine when she realizes how abusive his stepmother is. She insists that he stay in her household much to Conor's delight.]]

* Jan Krakow being an awesome exception to the PoliceAreUseless trope in this story. Not only does this man refuse to let his partner's personal biases cloud him from the truth, he also [[spoiler:helps Conor resolve Simon's case by simply being as objective and understanding as he can be. He even gives Gale a run for his money when it comes to GoodOldFisticuffs.]]
* While confronting [[spoiler:Veronica over her [[TheBabyTrap fake pregnancy]] wasn't exactly the smartest thing to do, it doesn't take away the impressiveness that [[TheDitz Simon of all people]] saw right through the farce and gathered evidence that confirmed his suspicions.]]
** Another impressive moment following that is [[spoiler:Conor [[NoSell no-selling]] Veronica's {{Gaslighting}} and grilling her for Simon's location.]]
* Even if you don't sympathize with [[spoiler:Talen for wanting to eradicate the W.A.F. at all costs, him [[BreakThemByTalking verbally reaming]] one of their younger members [[ScareEmStraight to the point of tears]] counts as his shining moment.]]
