* ''Webcomic/{{Freefall}}'' has been running since March 1998, on a three-strip-per-week plan (Monday, Wednesday, Friday), plus a very occasional bonus strip (usually shown in the archive on the same page as a regular strip). Passed 2,000 strips in 2011 (although a few fans considered it more significant when it posted its 2,011th strip in 2011). Over 3800 now.

* ''Webcomic/TheOrderOfTheStick'' has over 1200 online comics. (This is not including the "bonus comics" included in the print editions, or the prequel books.) While this may not seem like much, keep in mind these are full-page comics with 12 or more panels each, and it's probably one of the wordier comics out there. And except for [[EarlyInstallmentWeirdness a few of the first 100 strips]], every single strip is part of an arc and will contain important plot points, so it's unwise to skip any. In fact, it is so dense and {{Troperiffic}}, it is one of the handful of webcomics that are not just JustForFun/TropeOverdosed but ''Trope Overloaded'' containing about quadruple the number of tropes to strips.

* ''Webcomic/Rain2010'' was a SliceOfLife {{Dramedy}} comic that ended with 1497 strips. It's length hadn't scared away new readers though; it was one of the top 12 most popular comics on ''Website/SmackJeeves'' before the site got overhauled and was the most popular on ''Platform/ComicFury''. The fact that it's actually possible to read the entire comic in about 2 days certainly helps too.

* ''Webcomic/{{Collar 6}}'' reached 1084 comics before its freely available archive was taken off Website/{{Tumblr}}.

* ''Webcomic/KevinAndKell'' has been publishing continuously since September 1995, making it the longest running webcomic in history. It was weekdays-only for a while, but went to every day in the summer of 2000. The strip has had no break for 27 years, putting it over 9,500 comics in its archive. Bill Holbrook [[http://kevinandkell.com/2013/kk1123.html lampshaded it in 2013,]] showing Rachel being exhausted by an archive binge (used for the main image of this trope), and again in [[https://www.kevinandkell.com/2024/kk0121.html 2024]] when it's noted it's easy to fall into a false sense of security about reading a webcomic only to realize this trope is in play.

* David Willis' epic webcomic verse, the ''Webcomic/WalkyVerse'', started in September 1997 with ''Roomies!'', which ran weekdays for 2 years. It quickly became ''It's Walky!'', which ran weekdays for 5 years, followed by ''Joyce and Walky!'' and ''Shortpacked!''. The latter ran every weekday from the beginning of 2005 to 2015; the former ran three days a week from 2005 to 2015, with only one out of every three of those strips for non-subscribers. If you want to read that archive, it's 10 years’ worth of reading and well over $100 in "donations." There are about 2800 freely available strips.
