Halo Legends is an anime-styled series of seven short stores set in the Halo universe. What Anime/TheAnimatrix did for the Film/TheMatrix films and WesternAnimation/BatmanGothamKnight did for Film/TheDarkKnightSaga, Halo Legends does for the Halo ExpandedUniverse. It was produced by Microsoft's internal Halo entertainment team, 343 Industries. It is under six production houses, namely BeeTrain, Studio Bones, Casio Entertainment, Production I.G, Studio4°C, and ToeiAnimation.

Eyes Of Gold has been renamed to Supernatural Gold Eyes as per this thread, because the trope is for characters with supernatural origins that have gold eyes. It\'s not for anyone who just happens to have them. So, anything that doesn\'t fit the definition or Zero Context Examples will be removed. If the example fits, please put it back with more context.

Removing wick to Did Not Do The Research per rename at TRS.

* DidNotDoTheResearch: The Duel is full of this.
** Not to mention Origins, which shows the Flood attacking more than one world other than Earth (which they didn't) and the Arbiter taking orders from a Flood-infected Prophet (which he didn't), the Forerunners living on just one world (they were a galaxy-spanning empire) and the humans and Covenant working together to stop the Flood from the start (they only started it after the Flood began attacking, which was after Truth and the Loyalists went through the Ark Portal, therefore nullifying the presence of Grunts, Drones, Jackals, and Brutes.) Partially justified in that the story was being told by a Cortana who had far exceeded the lifespan of a "smart" AI, so she may have simply been getting details wrong.

Not to mention that she looks nothing like the Dr. Halsey in Homecoming, which is much closer to her appearance games and the novels, and the Halsey in The Package looks about twenty years younger than all of them.

* FridgeBrilliance: The collection is titled Halo Legends, and particularly in the case of The Duel, they mean it. Just as the legends of King Arthur are based (loosely) on real events and people with plenty of exaggeration and anachronism, so too would the story of the first Arbiter be conflated to an epic tale of betrayal that perhaps kind of resembles historical events if you look at it funny--but screw it, it's an entertaining way to tell the tale, no?
* Foreshadowing : The "alien" ruins in the Heian planet. When you see it, you can clearly see the elements of ancient human architecture in them. It seems the producers were lazy, right?
** .

* AnimeHair: Not surprising, considering this is an anime. In the commentary track of "The Babysitter" it's noted that real life Marines would pretty much all have buzz cuts and look like each other, but AnimeHair and different body types were used to distinguish them, and in the ODST universe they're an SAS/Special forces analog, who can and do have long hair, such as Buck in ODST (given that Buck is NathanFillion AND a Firefly Mal Expy, you don't tell him what to do).

*** It never actually states that the Forerunners only lived on one planet it merely shows the invasion of one of their planets or possibly several of them. Halo Cryptum gives the impression that a lot of them look pretty similar.
