* TooGoodToLast: The beautiful kingdom of Indraprastha. Where [[GoldMakesEverythingShiny everything and everywhere is gold]]. The city is straight out of a fairy-tale. Sadly it didn't last.
** Also the movie never made sequels and was never heard from again. Despite having 14 more stories of the Mahabarata to make more sequels.

** so were the twins Sehdeva, Nakula, Yudhisthira and Bheema who all had bigger roles in the Mahabharata. This movie was about Arjuna. Had there been sequels were she was reduced to an extra, then the trope would've made sense. But it isn't so there was no demotion to begin with.

*** it wasn't mentioned in the movie that she was only married to arjun. there are alot of stuff that was left out. Alot of stuff happened between the swayamvar and the pandava's introducing their new wife to the blind king. In that part is were the mix-up happens. And instead of being just arjuna's wife, draupadi ends up being the wife of all the five brothers. Besides, their mother only said "my daughter in-law", not "my son's wife". so nothing was changed. it's just that some things weren't mentioned.

* AccentuateTheNegative: Despite the rich story and timeless, strong messages, like krishna's valuable words of wisdom to arjun (after the latter has to carry on the weight of ruling a kingdom beside his older brother and fulfilling his promise to his master), and kunti's strong words of encouragement to arjun after they both witness their house burning down, the western audience preferred to focus on the culture shock and political correctness aspects of the movie such as the queen's blind-folded eyes, the humiliation of princess Draupadi, the "Dated animation style", and "animal cruelty" despite it all happening in a time of war were collateral damages are the norm and will happen.

* PopCulturalOsmosis: Produced by Disney, both audience and critics can't stop comparing the animation style and the characters' designs to popular Disney movies and characters like comparing Arjun to Disney's Disney/{{Tarzan}} and Disney/{{Pocahontas}} instead of appreciating the movie on its own merit.

* ScrewedByTheNetwork: The movie was pulled from the box office after one week of its release. In favor of a more gimmicky, more "western-popcultured" and more kid-friendlier movies like ''WesternAnimation/{{Brave}}'' and ''Disney/WreckItRalph'' for the western targeted audience.

* WalkingShirtlessScene: Almost all the characters in the movie, except women. Since it's the fashion style in that time and place, and considering the high temperature levels in india. It only makes sense that people have minimum amount of clothing.
* WhatDoYouMeanItsForKids: Despite being produced by disney, Arjun: the warrior prince is fairly an epic about a warrior's journey through self discovery. Complete with battle gore and mature subject matters.
