lockhead: We have a trope for taking a level in jerkass, however I think there inverse is true for Kim. She seems to tone down much of the perfectionist jerkiness that cropped up in the first and second seasons. Is there a trope for that?

Doug S. Machina: What is "Drakken's Demise"? It isn't an episode or one of the movies.

Never Say "Die"

  • Averted in Drakken's Demise both in the title and how Falsatto Jones' security system, in Kim's words, isn't really trying to kill her. Turns out it's a trap for her to be killed in a similar fashion to what was attempted in Rufus in Show.

lockhead: That would be one of the Kim Possible titles for the Game Boy Advance. A marked improvement over the first game, while Team Impossible is the best game, period. {{spoiler Drakken doesn't actually die.}}

Harpie Siren: Umm... This line ....
Totally Radical (despite wearing 21st Century cargo pants, Kim and her friends speak like Valley girls, circa 1984)
It contradicts what that article actually says about KP
Kim Possible dealt with this by inventing entirely new slang for Kim and Ron, which ironically sounds more real than out-of-date real slang.

So? Which is it? Does Kim talk like a valley girl from the '80s or does she use entirely new slang? Cause I want the Kim Possible example in Totally Radical and the notation in this artical to match.

BT The P: The only connection between KP's circle of girlfriends and valley girl speak appears to be Bonnie's excessive use of "like", and some teenage girls still do it that way. I don't see it.

Tabby: Seconding the "I don't see it."

Seth: My Sister still does the "Like" thing

Andrew; This site probably isn't the right place for this, but I'll be damned if I'm going to a Kim Possible message board. Largely based on this page, I caught a lot of KP episodes during the marathon Disney's been showing this week. They bill it as "every episode, including the movies, in order."

I watched the "So the Drama" movie last night, and I'm a bit confused. Ron and Kim get together, and bully for them. But the next several episodes broadcast seem to put them right back in the "friends" category. Am I missing something?

BT The P: Fanboy to the rescue. So The Drama was designed as the series finale, to take place after all episodes of the third season, which was at that time the last. But, they aired it before all the season three episodes were aired. The marathon is in original airing order, so a few episodes, like the one with Gorilla Fist and the one with the movie studio, were shown after it, but before "Ill Suited", which was the season 4 premiere after the show's surprise uncancellation. In that one they're a couple, but they never really act too lovey-dovey on screen in season 4, they have a sort of evolved, best-friends-plus romance. Contiuity on this show isn't too strong, either, hence Kim's mission clothes being back to the old outfit in an episode set in February.

The creators had to backpedal, because the Last Minute Hook Up couldn't be undone, but if Kim and Ron were hot and heavy they'd lose the target audience, who they think is 8-14. Of course, I know enough 16-plus fans of this show to justify airing it, but...

SlickNickShady: Yesh during most of season 4 I was like where were all the kisses but Graduation made up with it for the most part with two full on kisses and two really good hugs. Also they had a lot of interupted kisses as well. Also in an interview Bob and Mark stated what the person above me stated that they did not want to gross out a bunch of 8 year old boys. Im sure they know there are a lot of 16-plus fans but theres not enough to make up for the loss of the 8-14 age group.

Tabby: Continuity on this show is strong with few exceptions, the ability of its producers to convince the network of this (thus encouraging them to air episodes in the proper order) is not.

BT The P: Is there an entry for a situation in which there is no subtext whatsoever, at all, ever, in any universe, but people keep imagining there is no matter what anyone says?

Lale: Freud Was Right.

INH: Hey, artictigress, it's generally a good idea to go to the discussion page and say why you're making a major change like, say, deleting most of the article.

Trogga: I do think all that should be moved to a Character Sheet.

Jason: I suppose this is just opinion, but I'm not sure Ron really gets that much more glory than Kim. I also swear I saw Wade in person in two or three episodes before season 4

SonicPanther: Slicknickshady, I know you hate Kigo. It's not your wiki. That doesn't matter. STOP REMOVING THE FOE YAY EXAMPLE FROM THE CHARACTER SHEET BECAUSE YOU DON'T LIKE THE SHIPPING.I know you, those removals were completely out of Die for Our Ship.

I don't know who that is but i will defend them. Foe Yay has nothing to do with the shows characters. I could care less who anybody ships. It's not about the ship. It's about the shows characters. You may not like that person or the reason they are deleting certain things but I don't see what he did wrong from an objective point of view.

SlickNickShady: You don't know me SonicPanther. Whatever problem you have with me don't take it here. This is not the place for that. Whoever that was above me thank you for your thoughts. That is exactly why I deleted it. It has nothing to do with the characters. It's about the shows character. I don't see anything similar under Ron, Kim, Rufus, and Drakken and i'm sure there are some tropes for them as well if you count Foe Yay. Shipping has nothing to do with the characters. For example I don't put Canon with Ron under Kim Possible and Canon with Kim under Ron Stoppable. SonicPanther: Now I feel like a jackass. I never even considered that. Sorry for questioning your motives.

Doug S. Machina: Changed this:

  • Foe Yay (Sometimes people read more into things than they should.)

Because it's a bit preachy. SlickNickShady: "Shipping has nothing to do with the characters." It's more about the fans' reactions to the characters. Look at the image on the Foe Yay page: Starscream and Megatron giving each other flowers. There can't be scrap of Canon to support that, but it doesn't make it less entertaining. Also, MST3K Mantra.

fleb: Reverted again. Hey Nick! Come read this page! ...And reverted again. ...Aaaand now he's earned a banning.

UnknownTroper The second most popular ship is way off base. Thats Wild Mass Guessing. There is no evidence that is the second most popular anywhere. For example, I think Drakken/Shego is a more popular Ship than what you stated. There is no proof.

Doug S. Machina: A few moments using the filters on fanfiction.net brings up 55 pages of Kim/Ron fics, 22 pages of Kim/Shego and 8 pages of Drakken/Shego. So, just on that basis, that makes over twice as much "Kigo" shipping as "D/S", and nearly twice as much "K/R" as both.

fleb: ...You know, that IP and Slick Nick actually have awfully similar writing styles and editing patterns.

Unknown Troper: ....There is no way you can prove it's the second most popular. Fanfiction.net is not a way to make that determination. I'm reverting the Foe Yay back to definition of it. fleb, Doug, slicknickshady, and etc i'm tired of the page turning into a soap.

  • dueling shows Totally Spies is another "secret agent high-school kid" show, as is rather fitting for a clone, it did not do as well in the world of ratings as Kim Possible

fleb: Sakumbe: Kim Possible came out the year after Totally Spies did. So says The Other Wiki.

triassicranger: Guys, were the tweebs really SORASed? I just thought they entered high school early due to their intelligence.

Donteatacowman: You are correct. Shall we fix it?

  • The Laughing Fan: I removed the Chickification entry, since it just isn't true. But to answer the late Justifying Edit that was removed with it: Out of 31 episodes of Season 2, Kim kicked ass in a mere 4 episodes. Still, the other seasons make it up for her.

On minion with an F in evil: SSJ isn't. In fact he's the only successful villain in the show. Or do you get an F for asking Whydon'tyoujustshoothim?

Can any edits be done to fanfic recommendations. Cause Slyrr's work trying to feel like a season 4 episode of Kim Possible is one of it's downsides in this troper's opinion. It also uses the fanon opinion that Kim doesn't really appreciate Ron quite often, unlike the show where Kim's flat out said "I couldn't save the world without you."

lockhead: There is in the works a serious serious serious fifth season effort, complete with animators and voice actors. Once the season is complete it is hoped to be presented to Disney. Yoou can find out more at savekp, com.

lockhead: Kim has a thing about exotic food. She is disgusted at meatloaf made up like brains and nearly barfs, she rejects an offer for squirrel stew, and is horrified at the prospect of insects as a delicacie. What trope would this fall under?

The Informed Judaism bit? Not every Jew is uber orthodox. There's some that celebrate holidays, keep traditions, and all that cultural stuff, but don't bother keeping kosher. Judaism to those that are not overly religious is more of a quiet, personal thing, not discussed and emphasized to others.

Is there a trope for the use of initials as a nickname? KP for Kim by Ron.

DM for Danger Mouse by penfold and Col. K

I'm sure there are others out there.

Can someone add a YMMV bit to fanfic recs?
