First of all, this makes massive assumptions about the fans of the game in general. Fans have had varying opinions and interpretations of The Hive level, far beyond thinking it's funny. A number of people on the Gearbox forums, for example, thought Duke actually sounded angry and thought Duke's response was Played for Drama, a prelude to a Roaring Rampage of Revenge rather than being Played for Laughs and cracking a heartless joke at the expense of suffering women.
However, thedragoness sets up a False Dichotomy, claiming anyone who didn't feel outraged toward the developers for this level instead enjoys the suffering of women, which she then correlates with all the evil, Moral Event Horizon-crossing tropes potholed into a single word. This is a clear attempt at making fans appear to be Complete Monsters.
thedragoness has had a history of editing this page and demonizing fans of this game, as well as putting the game itself in as strongly a negative light as she possibly can, particularly over The Hive level. For posterity, I present her numerous edits, many of which were part of her own personal Edit Wars and ultimately removed by moderators after it was brought to Ask The Tropers:

Oh, and in regards to her comments about Old Man Ho Oh up above this remark? She called Old Man Ho Oh a bitch in the middle of her Edit War with him:

Whoa, there's issues here. Let's just move on huh?
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursI don't know whether you're implying whether it's me, thedragoness, or the both of us that has issues, but there is nothing to "move on" from. This topic is here to highlight thedragoness' edits made to this article and its subpages in case she continues this behavior.
I thought she was gone for real, according to what I've read on the forums some time ago...
I think she's gone. If she's hurt you to the point you have to show off what she's done, she's won.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than Yourstsstevens, making note of her actions due to the temporary nature of TV Tropes' editing history, and being unaware of whatever was posted about her on the forums, is not "having issues" or "being hurt." She was nothing more than somebody fixated on Complaining to the point of edit warring about it.
This is not the first time I've documented somebody's objectionable behavior in a discussion page—in many cases over a work I have no interest in—so I'll thank you to understand that.
Edited by TrevMUNPoint is she's left her mark. If she was as bad as you made her out to be and have to keep records of what she did, she won.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursIf she was doing all of this just to be a troll, then she won the moment people reacted to her, and not merely from me keeping a record of her actions. Which, by the way, are presented as-is. I'm not making her out to be anything.
You felt she needed to keep records of what she did. Clearly she must have upset you so much for you to have a reason to.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursCome to think of it, tsstevens, you're rather disproportionately determined to stick it to me over all this.
If thedragoness is gone from TV Tropes, then there was no reason in the first place for you to respond to a then-month-old record of her actions, telling the person who posted it that they "have issues" and need to "move on." It was a one-time post, and it had been left alone prior to your reply. Indeed, you've needlessly been dragging this out.
What is it you're trying to accomplish by repeatedly coming back here, taking a patronizing tone with me, and telling me that I must have some sort of personal problem? You are way too personally invested in somebody who recorded the bad behavior of a troper who wanted to complain.
What's really going on here?
Clearly thedragoness had issues. I simply feel that if it bothers you to the point you keep records of her actions then she wins so I do apologize if that offends you. She's gone, not a problem anymore.
- Edit: And thank god for that. Did a web search, she was obsessed.
I requested that we take it to discussion if there was a problem with quoting part of a review going into detail as to why this part of the game is bad (as some had been confused over whether or not I was discussing the capture the babe mode, and by quoting another source it would give the argument against Rape as Comedy more weight.
It wasn't brought to discussion, it was simply deleted. Hopefully we can work this out.
Old Man Ho Oh is edit warring over this entry.
DNF's public relations firm Rednar have actually threatened those who give the game poor reviews, claiming they won't send any more preview copies of future games to those who do. Not only have Gearbox severed ties with the company, withholding preview games has always been a sure sign that the developer knows the game sucks and hopes to sneak it out and sell a few copies before people know how bad it is.
He refuses to have it on the main page, he refuses to have it on YMMV. Could I get some consensus on this?
Hide / Show RepliesTo try and explain this a bit more, Rednar is Gearbox's public relations firm. They saw fit to threaten those who gave the game bad reviews, claiming Gerarbox will not send preview copies of future games to those who do. Gearbox retaliated by firing them. Now the threat itself is interesting in that those who give poor reviews will not get preview copies of future games. This has been a long time practice for developers who knew their game was bad and hoped that if they sneak it by reviewers they could still sell a few copies, rather than have reviewers warn against a bad game. Thus, the threat to not send preview games is basically Rednar saying "the game sucks, we know it sucks, we don't want you trying to warn people not to buy s bad product.
Hm, does the Spartan Armor entry in Hilarious in Hindsight fit?
