Dunno about that trope, but Adorkable needs to be removed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanCute Clumsy Girl (the western equivalent of Dojikko, as well as the page with all the examples from both) seems more like a character trait than an event-specific trope. Besides, I'd debate just how "clumsy" it is to flop over while asleep.
I agree; this is just "ponies are cute when they sleep", which in this series is Too Meaningless To Trope.
I've spent a few days away from this recap page and discussion to give this some thought. While I still agree with Septimus Heap that Twicake Sprinkles doesn't count as Adorkable, I also agree that it deserves mention. How about this?
Rule of Cute: Twilight Sparkle, who had been dozing through breakfast, falls face-first into her stack of pancakes, and continues to sleep while snuggling her pancakes like a pillow.
Edited by pvsageRule of Cute doesn't really look like it's meant to be used as a regular trope.
Edited by MrL1193That usage seems questionable to me, anyway.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanPerhaps the reason we're discussing this is what we have here is an Intended Audience Reaction? The writers and/or animators probably said something like "Let's have Twilight do something so cute the Bronies will be checking their blood sugar!"
Edited by pvsageSomeone put it in as Overworked Sleep, which I think fits the situation perfectly.
Does The Green Thumb example count as Artistic License Garnishing the Story? It is, after all, part of a Hard-Work Montage. It would be different if the falling dirt and sprouting flowers had happened with regular dialog.
Does redecorating some rooms offscreen really count as an Offscreen Moment of Awesome? That strikes me as being extremely loose with the definition.
(I should also note that the example was originally added under Show, Don't Tell, but I removed it because it didn't seem to fit at all.)
Hide / Show RepliesThey talked a lot about Twilight's love of books, but we never see any books. I'm starting to wonder if the production team was trying to avoid showing the library because they'd have to decide whether or not the portal to the Equestria Girls universe is still there.
It's not the "offscreen" part that I doubt; it's the "awesomeness." The offscreen redecoration is certainly appreciated, but no one really seems to give special mention to it to hype it up. (And, really, how often is redecorating an awesome spectacle?)
My guess is they plan to show the other rooms in future episodes and wanted to get the explanation as to how they got decorated out of the way. Nothing more than an Info Dump...and not really relevant to any plot.

We've been playing Adorkable rather loosely in our recaps for this series. (I'm guilty of this as well; I need to fix my entry for "Filly Vanilli" one of these days.) Yes, Twiley sleeping on her pancakes is super-cute, but the trope requires nerdiness and dorkiness as well, and neither of these is shown in that scene.
EDIT: Is Dojikko a good fit?
