So I'm guessing Glass Ninja came up so often that the mods had to make this trope? Is that why this exists?
Also, can we have Glass Ninja redirect here?
Edited by 216.99.32.42 ...Burn... Hide / Show RepliesJust the opposite. Mods said not to make a trope for every possible combination of speed, defense, and power. Then someone launched it anyway in the middle of discussion about its tropability (and renaming), despite having zero hats.
So... basically it exists because of a mistake.

...Burn...If I recall, they did suspend him and it went back to YKTTW... but oddly enough, that doesn't delete the created page so this still... exists.
EDIT: You can tell by going to the YKTTW archive and checking... since the "launch" button exists, this is technically unlaunched. However, since the page exists, there isn't much point. It's really not an ideal system.

Hopefully I'll feel confident to change my avatar off this scumbag soon. Apologies to any scumbags I insulted. Hide / Show RepliesCannons are usually stationary, if you think about it. Excluding the Hand Cannon. Glass Cannon is all attack. Just like the Stone Wall is all Defense and the Fragile Speedster is all Speed. That reminds me, what is high Defense and Speed, But no attack? Lightning Tortoise?
I cant think of any characters off the top of my head, but there have been durable and fast roles in videogames. Like Armored Personel Carriers, medics and engineers that need to be responsive in a crisis and get there alive. Support roles, mostly.
that was of course only my opinion. If you find 5 relevant examples, feel free to make a new ykktw
Can someone please clarify exactly what the difference is between Paper Ram and Lightning Bruiser? There seems to be enough of an overlap that a distinction would be helpful.
Hide / Show RepliesPaper Ram : Fast, does a lot of damage, can't take a hit
Lightning Bruiser : Fast does a lot of damage, very resilient
Okay, if I have an otherwise Glass Cannon type character who knows Waif-Fu, but gets tossed like a rag doll if she takes a hit (though mind you, she gets back up a few times before finally admitting defeat), would it be this or more of a downplayed version?
Hide / Show RepliesThat's just Glass Cannon.

We've got a thread going with a lot of discussion on how to fix up this and several other statistical archetype tropes:

When it comes to Paper Ram, I think it's definitely tropable, but as it stands the name and description are both pretty lame.
The name doesn't convey offensive power: I'm imagining an origami ram crumpling itself against a Stone Wall and doing no damage. It also evokes Paper Tiger, which conveys ineffectiveness. Not good.
As for the description, there's that weird bullet point list of subtypes, but if there's a difference between the Dodger and the Raider I'm not seeing it. Seems pretty redundant and convoluted to me.
Is there a method for getting this page deleted until the YKTTW can fix it up proper? I mean, I could just go in and delete the entire description and examples and leave it as a blank page, but I have no idea if that's a legit / permitted way of dealing with a problem case like this and don't want to step on moderator toes.
