Can sombody remove Ms. Palin from the picture? This trope dose NOT aply to real-life mothers.
Oswalds mother in the Drew Carey show, played by Adrienne Barbeau, should fit in here. As I recall various people in the series commented on his Hot Mom both in past and present tense.

Sayuri Daimon of [1] looks about my age (I'm in my junior year of college at the time of writing). Her son is 14...not that he looks it. So definitely an example of this trope.
