Warning: Unmarked spoilers ahead.
This can probably be written better by someone that knows their tropes a lot more comically than I do, but I'll add another example (which might step on the toes of a few others too)
In Tales of Symphonia - In the party's attempts to try to bring back the Giant Tree, they end up getting their wish corrupted; the tree takes root in a form that isn't very appreciated. During several moments of debate (on how to get rid of it) among even the intellectuals of the group, it takes Lloyd Irving - established by this point as not a scholar - to suggest a solution (much to everyone's surprise) that works (even to terms the Big Bad appreciates).
If someone wants to link up a bunch of tropes with that example (or direct it elsewhere), I'm letting the more brilliant butts run with it.
... ... ... ...wat?Wait, since when have we been able to embed Youtube videos into the site?
I sit on top of the fourth wall, facing he wrong direction. Hide / Show RepliesSo, uh, what does the video have to do with the trope?
Switch FC code: SW-4420-1809-1805I don't think it should be here. If somebody really needs there to be a video here, we should at least pick a relevant one.
More pluck than an Alabama banjo festivalMy Question is, why not save the videos for something similar to the Trope Co. Catalog, then have a regular picture? The Trope Co. format would be an excellent way to introduce these videos.
Well, the videos are supported in their presence by administrative decision, so you'll need to discuss it in the forums to change anything.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanAn episode of Echo Chamber is scheduled to be released soon which is about this trope.
Before the release, I thought it would be a good idea to consult with the Tropers who’ve adopted this page. I have a good understanding of the trope, but I thought I would get some input from you before we go live.
What are the old debates about how the trope is defined? How can I avoid accidentally digging one of them back up? What is the most important aspect of the trope that I need to demonstrate?
Since we go live soon, I can’t make any promises that I can incorporate your suggestions, but I will do my best to portray the trope accurately and succinctly.
For reasons unknown, but which I am currently pursuing answers to, I am unable to edit. For this reason I request of my fellow tropers to edit the description, specifically the following part:
"case, this trope than becomes somewhat of "
It should be "case, this trope then becomes somewhat of "
A minor nitpick, but there it is. :P

Pulled this from the Dumbing of Age entry about Joe:
She doesn't really have a chance to say anything either way, since it's immediately derailed by Walky talking about nuggets. (In the process revealing that this isn't even true; Joe only talks about girls, and he doesn't care what the other guys are talking about.) Since Willis had previously done a Shortpacked! strip in which a similar point was met with a flat "Google 'false equivalence'", it seems like Leslie would have used this as a teachable moment if Walky had given her a chance.
