The definition given seems to be pretty broad, going for a dynamic instead of a function. Not a subversion, IMO.

I wonder if this counts: If one is a girl, who abides by the rules and does the right thing, and is also neither skilled in nor prone to fighting; the other is a Chaotic Neutral Deadpan Snarker who seems to enjoy tormenting her, would it be this trope? And I'd like to add, they are not romantically involved!

The main article gives out one example of this trope, but I'm wondering if this would be a subversion: if the two of them both have the ability to fight directly, but the one who's Made of Iron is really the more passive type while their sidekick is closer to a Squishy Wizard. Subversion, right?
