[up] Yeah, that seems to be it.

Also, holy crap, the Deadlords! And they've got the legendary weapons of Jugdral. I knew they were in the game but I didn't know... that.

They show up again in a DLC called Infinite Regalia.

Part of the Golden Pack, if you only have enough for one DLC, get that pack.

Oh really when?

What?

No. If you only have enough for one DLC, get the Scramble or Future Past packs.

The Golden Pack should be the bottom of your priority list.

No. It should be third. The DLC character maps should be at the bottom, unless you desperately want Paragon or Iote's Shield for whatever reason.

So long, Walhart you magnificent bastard. That was an epic chapter, too. Say'ri finished both him and Excellus.

You kill The Wal' with Say'ri eh? I went at him with Chrom, god of Conan.

And, exit Validar. He wasn't even hard. The first time, he was one-rounded by his son. Second time, he was one-rounded by Basilio.

I always feel kinda bad for never using Basilio or Flavia.

I just get them way too late for them to be of any use.

I figured Basilio deserved the final blow due to being the one to foil the Evil Plan.

You get them around the same time as Athos or SOS Karel, but aren't nearly as OP as either of them.

Kinda defeats the point of an 11th-Hour Ranger IMO. Then again, Renault... >.>

Ah well, at least he technically has potential to improve if you try and feed him a crapload of kills....

On second thought, you only get Karla for maybe half a map or so longer (based on my average performance in that particular map), and she's no Game-Breaker either, but she's still better than Renault is...

<Beat>

And now I'm trying to remember whether how she compares to FE 7 Karel, but I can't recall a damn thing about either in terms of bases, join level, or growths. Sure, Karel joins considerably earlier, but that means passing up Harken...

I usually find Basilio at least more useful than Flavia or the other units on the bench, because free Rally Strength. Aside from that, he's a high Strength bow user and if I do Tiki's paralogue, it's usually fairly late (just because I run higher difficulties and the game throws tons of reinforcements out in those ones). IIRC, at base with a Silver Bow, he can one-shot any non-Aegis+ enemy in that chapter.

No. It should be third. The DLC character maps should be at the bottom, unless you desperately want Paragon or Iote's Shield for whatever reason.

The Paragon map is also the best map for grinding lategame unit levels, period.

In addition, it's also a part of the pack with the sweet, sweet Dread Fighter class for males.

All four of the final versions of the character maps are pretty good for grinding late-game units. Champions of Yore 3 is great for training capped-out units through their base classes for Skills, or for giving a bit more experience to weaker units to prepare them for tougher maps, while Lost Bloodlines 3 and Smash Brethren 3 are both good for units approaching their promoted stat caps, the latter probably offering a bit more exp. Rogues and Redeemers 3 is good for training units that are close to or at their Limit Breaker stat caps, as long as you keep an eye on Jaffar so that he can't proc Lethality.

Lost Bloodlines 2 and Smash Brethren 2 are good for units that aren't quite ready for 3, and provide you with Dread Fighters and Brides, both of which are good to have.

I don't have much use for Exponential Growth anymore, but Golden Gaffe is still good for money and Infinite Regalia is good for weapons.

Champions of Yore 2 BTW is also the fastest way to grind support levels. Pair up a couple of units and work your magic. The map should be finished in about two turns and give lots of support points to your two pairs of choice.

And exit Aversa. That was a pretty hard chapter, too; easily as difficult as the Paralogues. Eventually I got sick of the reinforcements and since Aversa was in range of DEATH PONY... err, Sumia, I had her end it.

My Sumia is broken tho.

Sumia is generally considered one of the best first-gen characters in Awakening, thanks to her very versatile potential skill list. Knight in general is a pretty awesome base class to have access to, since it means that unit can get a good offensive skill (Luna) and a good defensive skill (Pavise).

I sure said that!

Grima is XBOX HUEG. He seems to be the largest Final Boss in the series many times over. One of the strongest, too, though I'd be curious to see how he stacks up against Duma and Ashera, who are supposedly outright gods or so close as to not matter.

Also when get to the chapter called Endgame: Grima, the game really does end. So get all your fun stuff out of the way after you beat chapter 25

There's a lot of duality between Sumia and Cordelia.

  • Sumia has Rally Luck, Cordelia has Rally Skill.
  • Sumia has Cleric, Cordelia has Dark Mage.
  • Sumia gets skills that trigger to protect her from bows, Cordelia gets skills that raises her bow avoid.

I could go on all day, but I think you get the point.

also cordelia never gets a chance with chrom.

also, cordelia is considered a genius; The Ace

sumia is considered (especially by herself) The Klutz and seems to have a very low opinion of her ability to do anything.
