These two are under common tropes: Anti-Hero, Byronic Hero, Jerkass Woobie, Jumping Off the Slippery Slope, Knight Templar, Magnificent Bastard, Manipulative Bastard, Teen Genius, Villain Protagonist, Well-Intentioned Extremist, etc.

Imagine if these two are gonna fight of whose items will win: Death Note or Geass.

Provided Lelouch could keep up the mask of Zero long enough, he'd probably win. Light and Lelouch both have critical drawbacks in their abilities, but Light's is far easier to exploit and control.

Now if he had Lelouch's name...

I've got new mythological machinery, and very handsome supernatural scenery. Goodfae: a mafia web serial

Couldn't be that hard, considering he shouts his name out whenever he commands someone to do something.

But they lose their memories afterwards or and/or die.

Well the core problem is their relative positions. So is it Kira vs Zero or Lelouch vs Light? Are they in the same school or on opposite sides of Japan? Are they each striving for their original goals in their respective series? Etc, etc.

I think it's likely that Light had some influence on Lelouch...and Keima seems to bear a resemblance to the latter. Wonder if this kind of protagonist is going to become a trend.

Depends on if Light is opposed to Zero, Lelouch Lamperouge, or Lelouch vi Britannia.

Last one is Light's win easy and offing the Demon Emperor would make for good PR for Kira. The second, Light couldn't instantly kill him, but the fun mind-games would be on the go (and anyone smart would pick up the similarities between Lelouch and Nunnally and the presumed dead prince and princess).

Against Zero though would complicate things.

I've seen a few interesting fanfics along these lines, but they're all WI Ps that haven't been updated in ages.

[up]Yeah, Light would win for sure against Lelouch The Prince, but if he goes up against Zero (without Rem) he's toast. Lelouch also has an advantage against Light in that C.C. is quite protective of Lelouch while Ryuk could care less if Light died, and C.C.'s Immortality would be quite the Story-Breaker Power against the Death Note, giving Lelouch an unbeatable pawn.

How bout we just put them in a room and have them fistfight. Easy win.

^In that case Light would probably win by default. I don't imagine him being very rough-and-tumble, but he did fight L in handcuffs, so he could easily beat Lelouch.

I wonder how well Light (or L for that matter) would do in a Knightmare Frame.

Not if Lelouch brings a gun to the fight, like he would. He's a fairly good shot, too.

For elevens, I'm almost certain. Then again, Lelouch has quite a disregard for rules unlike Light. But Light's probably so athletic he could take the bullet Lelouch shoots and eat it.

One command of "Forever forget my name!" would be an awesome way to stretch this confrontation.

Would a fight between Light and Lelouch really work? I won't dignify this by embedding it but:

[1]

They'll all end this way. If you really want to see Lelouch or Zero up against Light or Kira, ultimately you would have to find some meaningful way for them to interact.

Zero might be inclined to either ignore Kira if he wasn't in his way, and although Kira might be interested in finding out the identity of Zero, he might have to put it off as too far out of his way and requiring him to sacrifice his other commitments. Who knows, they might even ignore each other.

Depends on the situation.

In the Code Geass universe maybe they could both find out a little about each other, and Kira could learn part of Lelouch's real name and run off to find the rest of it all the while being hunted by the black knights. All of which takes place on Mechas. In Space!

In the Death Note universe Light would try to comprehend the mysterious abilities apparently possessed by Zero from afar and then try to narrow down his identity, probably using the Death Note. A confrontation of sorts would ensue, but if Lelouch is packing a gun, a mask and an eye, Light is going to have to think of something quick even if he has his ears covered.

Forgot to mention: Affably Evil and Evil Is Sexy.

I think it would be a draw.

  • would depend on which of the two discover the identity of the other first.

It's a little strange to compare them because they're totally different, don't you think...

But IMO, Light was right. Lelouch was just a selfish radical.

[up] I tend to think the opposite, Lelouch had some What the Hell, Hero?! moments, but Light was the one with A God Am I complex...
