Made me laugh out loud. Excellent line.
"I don't know who I am anymore!"
"Don't worry, I do."

Da Rules excuse all the inaccuracy in the world. Listen to them, not me."It was lights out as soon as my head hit the pillow. Drowning my mother was an exhausting exertion."
"How the hell can you call yourself a proper homosexual if you won't wear a dress?!?"

Yeah, the girl saying it is kind of an idiot.
"You know, one day that tongue of yours is going to get you killed. I'd be more than happy to preempt that by cutting it out for you."
"He's Not My Boyfriend...he's just the guy I always talk with, that always cheers me up when I'm sad and I always go first when I'm in need and...yeah, that sounded different in my head..."

This one came from Dream...
"Yep, she's a wild one, all right. She once tried to "Wake up the members of our nation"... at 2AM. With a megaphone."
Just floating around...I wrote this...I honestly don't know. Flipside is probably from around the middle of last year, or was at least posted at that time.
He saw the world in shades of gray, no color, silhouettes only for anything that moved, graded by "threat" according to the Eclipse with a half-baked heads-up display integrated to his vision. And he hated it, he hated it so much. Once, a long time ago, he'd been able to see normally, and he remembered. He remembered red hair very clearly, the look of it, but he could not remember why. And Veyron suspected the Eclipse had taken something else from him, something important, perhaps something he'd once cherished. It had stripped those things that didn't make him a better killing machine.
It made the demands of the damned thing easy to fight, now that he had cause to try. All his bitterness, his rage, a decade in the making. Once he and Arnage had been like gods, utterly beyond the efforts of the mages they hunted, the gods to people who were godlike themselves. Now cast down. It was easy to hate the Eclipse, the thing that had brought them here, unable to be normal when being normal was all that stood between him and death.

Nous restons ici."He appeared to be a normal Diveldian. He had soft gold fur and pointy ears. It was when the tramcar passed through the tunnel. It was that split second the sunlight shining into the tramcar was blocked out by tunnel wall where Olosia noticed a strange darkness in the Diveldian's eyes. Within his eyes were eldritch shapes and a dark black hole into the an abyss not meant for man. This creature was no Diveldian. It was not of Olosia's world."

OK, this paragraph needs some work:
- That fourth sentence has a lot of grammatical issues. The missing definite article for 'tunnel wall' is just the tip of the iceberg.
- 'Dark black hole'? As opposed, I presume, to a light black hole?
- 'The an abyss'. Probably want to fix that.
And, umm, you might want to think of a more inventive description. That sentence ("within his eyes were eldritch shapes and a dark black hole into the an abyss not meant for man") is kind of a condensation of a stereotypical Cosmic Horror Story's Meaningless Meaningful Words.
The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableJuan again rose, the house was still a mess, when a knock came at the door, fearing he was next, Juan lifted the rug to reveal a secret compartment in the floorboards where he kept a gun, grabbing it, he went for the door. Thank god he didn't think of shooting through the door first, it was only Penultimo. "Sorry Penultimo, I thought the soldiers had returned to take me too" Juan said lowering his gun,
"Aye, it is good to be cautious these days Juan, I came to tell you terrible news, I saw the soldiers taking your father and mother away, I think they mistook your mother for an Intellectual, the truth is, they're being publicly executed right about-" Gunshots interrupted Penultimo, they sounded like they came from the town square.
"-Now, maybe I could of gotten here earlier to help you save them, but, I doubt we can save them now, they have literally just been executed by gunshot from the sound we just heard"
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."This is from a thing I've put on hiatus. I really like these paragraphs:
Eventually we got there. The Do section, where Greg Dolst's childhood was kept.
We scanned the wall, looking at every single name that was there. It was long. Too long. So many people gave up their memories, either on purpose or by accident. The memories were taken down to the Catacombs, either never to be seen again or to be given to somebody else. Forgetting things is a terrible experience. Having something in your brain that should be there, but isn't... having this hole in your memory, there but empty, and when you try to dig it out you run into a wall. Except it isn't a wall, because there's nothing there. It's a feeling of nothing, a feeling like you're cut off from something you've experienced. So many people endured that. So many people were cut off from the past. It was wrong, because books are from the past. They're thoughts preserved in pages, ideas that we won't forget because we can look at them at any time. The Catacombs were not really meant to be traveled through by humans. They looked like they were just some spooky place with spiders and skeletons and the cold, like a place from some cheesy horror movie from the 80s or something. However, when you thought about it enough, it could drive you over the edge, into insanity. And even though the Catacombs only have one path, you get lost. Lost forever.

Gave them our reactions, our explosions, all that was ours For graphs of passion and charts of stars..."Now, it's time to finish you off." The Dark Rider said. Cinder, bloodied, holding a broken arm, started bursting out laughing. "Kill me? Please. That would take a thousand weapons, with far more power than you'll ever have. I am the wave of destruction, the cleansing fire. I am the flames of passion, the burning heart. I am far stronger than you'll ever be. And here's what it boils down to. You are nothing, and I will show you why." Cinder got to her feet, feeling the former burning in her veins. As her veins began to glow orange under her skin, spurts of fire began to appear all over her body. Once, she feared these bright flames, now she welcomed them. "Scorch the Earth. Burn the Sky. Consume my body, my blood, and reduce all creation to ash. And from the ashes of it all, now arise...the Phoenix Born!" She calls, raising her hand. Flames rushed down it, covering all her body. A massive explosion of heat and flames rushed from her, creating a hulking beast of fire. Wings that dwarfed the buildings formed, as did a body that would dwarf even the largest whale. With orange eyes, she regarded the Dark Rider. And there was no mercy in those eyes. No regard for what he was. Only what he would soon be. The phoenix cried out, it's massive cry, and beat it's wings, small flames burning in the air around it. This wouldn't take long.
http://www.fictionpress.com/s/3007268/4/The_Legion_of_Justice Superheroes! What could go wrong?@Olivetree: Was that scene intended to be flat and devoid of emotional impact?
Yes in a way, it isn't a serious piece, Juan wasn't that attached to his parents, call him a Complete Monster if you want.
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."Even if that's the case, you've got a bit of a Department of Redundancy Department thing going on.
What's precedent ever done for us?I admit it's not my best piece, kind of rushed since this was part of a fan fiction series writing for my blog, (Tropico) and it was in development hell so when I finally worked on it I was kind of rushing.
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."There seems to be a strange tendency for people to post stuff here and when it gets criticised go 'Oh, it's not my best work, I have much better things'. It's the thread for your favourite lines; why wouldn't you post the best ones?
Scepticism and doubt lead to study and investigation, and investigation is the beginning of wisdom. - Clarence DarrowI'm not a good critic at all, besides I found that line my favourite because I just really liked the timing of the interruption, I was just giving context which isn't as great.
"You'd never do something as irrational as dying."
The femme fatale female lead, to her boyfriend who is in the midst of a heel face turn.
"Baby, I just want you to be happy. If acting in accordance to a vile and corrupt system to dampen the symptoms of societal problems without every affecting any significant change makes you feel big in the pants, I say go for it."
