...I think you missed the point of that one. What Word of God was saying was that her belief in his teachings was what enabled her to have a strong enough light in her heart to create the X-Blade. But what Nomura said wasn't that she learned his hate for the Darkness, but his devotion to the Light.

That was part of Eraqus's problem. He grew more focused on getting rid of the Darkness than he was on strengthening the Light. As he died, Eraqus even said that his own Heart was Darkness, and in the Japanese version he literally said he had darkness in his heart, and seemed to believe his was worse than Terra's.

Heartless, like Sora's Heartless, and the Silver Rock, and the Angel Star can use Light magic. Several Dream Eaters use light based attacks and magic.

Eraqus said that he wished he could be rid of the Darkness. And he became so fixated on that that it destroyed him.

Besides. All Aqua would have to do is meet Riku or one of the cute and cuddly Spirit Dream Eaters and she'd find out how awesome the Darkness could be. Problem solved.

...And I'm pretty sure that Aqua and Riku's Ghost Drive Command/Link Style uses Darkness. Or, rather, that Ghost Drive was supposed to be a combination of Darkness and Light, in a Yin-Yang Bomb, Twilight/Dawn style deal.

Except the issue for Aqua wouldn't be "Dark Is Evil", but rather "since darkness refuses to leave my friends alone, it leaves me no choice".

EDIT: Besides, that would ruin the series' attempt to set Sora up as Jesus Christ, with the very mention of his name being able to inspire hope and love in people.

Assuming, of course, she didn't already bump into Riku off-screen during Days or II. There's only so many ways he could have attained Destiny's Embrace, after all.

Unless maybe Destiny's Embrace is based on his memories/feelings for Kairi... and he and Aqua happen to have roughly the same image of her?

That could be interpreted in one of many ways... several of them wrong.

This is why the Darkness is amazing and good and perfect and wonderful.

The above link is spoilers for the ending of KH 3 D. And it is also completely adorable. If you do not like adorable Dream Eaters, you are a horrible person.

I fail to see any innuendo in the Destiny's Embrace Keyblade. I suppose you could make a "deflowered" joke, but it would be in very bad taste.

Potentially romantic being the operative word. We still don't know for certain, and people could definitely argue he was just being protective... the same as Aqua.

True, Aqua's known for being a Wide-Eyed Idealist.

At least until Master Xehanort gets yet another Kick the Dog-moment in Kingdom Hearts III (complete with more Evil Gloating), which inadvertently causes Aqua to go into Tranquil Fury-mode against both him and darkness (she's at least Genre Savvy enough to know that Unstoppable Rage won't work in this case).

Aqua is not going to be the one to deal with Master Xehanort. That is Sora's job, or if not Sora, it is going to be Terra, as no one deserves it more. Also, by that point she will have her friends back so even if Master Xehanort pissed her off that much they would reign her in and bring her back to seeing sense just like Sora did with Riku.

I'm sorry, I couldn't hear you over the sound of Aqua's hand on Cinderella's butt for an extended period of time.

No, that's not what would make it great, that's what would make it a hack decision and pull Sora's status as the hero right out from under him. Aqua is probably the most popular and least polarizing of the original female characters in Kingdom Hearts, they're not suddenly going to derail her into a murderer.

Doesn't matter, it's still Character Derailment and Disney likely wouldn't allow it.

Listen, I'm not trying to sound like a jerk or anything, but the primary reason you're not likely to convince anybody else here of this is the fact that it lacks in-series support, and in fact clearly flies in the face of what we've seen of Aqua's character so far. If you believe it, that's fine, but it's really not plausible enough for me to believe it.
