Walt Disney Animation Studio, in association with Activision-Blizzard, presents Overwatch: The Movie!

(Seriously, take my money, I'd watch that.)

Seems a bit more like a Dreamworks or Fox property.

With Dream Works being led by the guy in charge of that shallow and cheap trash Illumination, I'd rather such a property be made by people who can apply actual effort.

Illumination are fucking trash. They'd probably make an incredibly stale story barely resembling the game.

I can see Overwatch characters appearing in the next Wreck It Ralph film as a camo,at least that's because the next film will be about the internet,

Not Disney. Overwatch isn't just geared towards kids, but moreso teens and adults. Besides, the first Overwatch animated short that came out months before the game was released, came out around the time Big Hero 6 did in theaters, and I heard 1 podcaster asking why he was hyped for Overwatch but NOT for Big Hero 6! Games these days have this edge, this added layer of maturity that Disney lacks due to how it always has to cater towards children. Games don't feel like they're talking DOWN to you, The action in Big Hero 6 was a valiant attempt to capture some of that, but the animation in the action scenes felt too soft, they weren't allowed to show too much carnage, and everything was fabricated.

...Big Hero 6 is a film about the protagonist dealing with his brother's death, trying to flat out murder the person responsible, and nearly getting his own friends killed in the process.

How is any of that talking down to kids?

Absolutely disagree. Modern Disney moves are among the most mature there are.

Just think about it.

If we would have descended from birds, we wouldn't have belly buttons. And could fly. But we would have to mate, urinate and egest with the same hole.
