Just post whatever comes to mind.
Please refrain from excess venting in this thread. Talking about negative emotions is fine but it's best not to dwell on them for too long. TV Tropes is not suited to deal with mental health situations.
If Oscar Wilde had lived in our time, he would be a /b/tard.
Actually, scratch that. He does, and goes by Jethro Q Walrustitty.

I have to wait until next year with my current systems. The car list and customisation is impressive, but the jury is out on the driving, gameplay and multiplayer interaction.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI played the NFS Beta on my PS 4. The driving is... Mixed. It feels very fast and very easy, but it just lacks something. The graphics are gorgeous, but they feel lifeless. The city doesn't feel that great either. While it's very pretty, it's also very dull. The constant nightime isn't bad, but the constant wet streets get a little grating. The traffic density feels more like a country town than an actual metropolis. I'm not expecting traffic jams everywhere; but I am expecting more than a handful of cars.
The racing is also similarly very... Well, straight. It's A-to-B classic racing (+ drifts and time trials, etc). Which is alright, I guess, but there's none of the aggressive driving from the last few games.
Car models are similarly unbreakable (although whether that's a fault of EA GHOSTS or a fault of licensing, I dunno).
Multiplayer interaction is confusing and awkward, although you can challenge other humans in impromptu street races.
Also, the EA servers crap out constantly. Even when you're playing Solo.
The traffic density has always been a Rule of Fun thing, although that's never stopped the games from spawning a traffic car at the apex of a corner. And yes, the idea that a region that's been in a drought for 4 years as of now having rain everywhere all the time is fairly ridiculous. Car models are definitely a licensing thing.
As to the online... doesn't seem like much of an improvement on Rivals then.

"Did you expect somebody else?"Does the bartender say "Is this some kind of joke?"
If you have a problem with Hokuto then tell it to me!Wouldn't it be fun to live in a musical. You'd always know what to say, you would always be included, and there's always a better chance of getting a duet...
Well, unless you can't sing. Then it'd probably be a nightmare.
Now that would be fun.
God I wish I could sing.
Oh really when?I'd like to look more into singing since I'm getting more into music and such lately, but I wouldn't quite know all the things I need to do to exercise or gauge my voice for such.
I've also spent most of my life being quiet and have been having throat congestion issues, so I guess that doesn't help either.
My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...I'd probably sing about how much I hate being in a musical and how I dislike singing itself out of irony.
Living The Fever DreamThe best musicals though are the ones where the characters never acknowledge they're in one.
I have a basic stereo system. It has a cassette deck, six-disc CD/MP3 CD changer, AM/FM radio, and aux-in port. So of course I use it as speakers for my phone (via bluetooth cassette adapter) and TV (via aux-in by way of a headphone out and three-foot cable).
Fresh-eyed movie blogI've just been reading the Viewers Are Morons page and was struck with the thought "sometimes, I do that with my fanfiction!" I've only ever done that in the notes, however, and I feel it's been justified because, while I don't think most of my readers are morons, whenever I play with a controversial fan-theory or mess with something "sacred" in a given fandom, I inevitably get reviews by morons. It's like, "Yes, I do feel like I have to explain artistic license to people. I'm sorry for all my smart readers if it looks like I'm talking down to everyone - it's the nitpickers that ruin it for you."
The most egregious example of this is when I put up an author's note on a story saying that I was merely playing with a fan theory (that I did not subscribe to) and someone left a review in my fanfiction . net box telling me that they went straight to the review without having read the fic and needed to inform me that things didn't really go that way / that it was a shady theory. WELL, DUH!
So, I feel bad about it, but, I completely understand why Viewers Are Morons exists when it comes to creators and Executive Meddling.

In which I attempt to be a writer.Soooo here's a random thought: how much would you folks say you are influenced by critics or such when it comes to what you check out or like in media lately, but not exactly just because you agree or believe it?
Because my brain keeps following others when I'm trying to do my own thing and I am really hating it. Consarned insecurities and fear of rejection is a son of a biiiooootch, though it feels partly justified I have to deal with these people in the future.

My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...Critics are full of shit. I tend to ignore them.

If you are not very careful, your possessions will posses youStupid Sexy Fluters?
And honestly I can really think that way because my brain is suspectible to picking up and thinking earnestly on the opinions of everyone and such. Well, that and ensuing bits of assumed peer pressure on occasion.
My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...It's not that I ignore what critics are saying so much as I try to ignore the fact that they exist. I avoid critics like the plague, which is generally easy for me to do since I don't/can't get out much and don't visit those kinds of sites. They cannot taint my opinion if I never hear theirs.
Also, for context: my dad was playing the recorder really loudly while naked. This house echoes a lot, and I have sensitive ears.
If you are not very careful, your possessions will posses youFor me it's a bit more of a fear of the future in that regard, since I want to do bigger media projects in the future and I'm fearful of the make it or break it factor of critics, if not just some sway of influence they may hold over how people view them. Gives me the jibblies. It's not even so much their opinions I care for, it's their amount of sway with other peeps.
In fact, this is really all I think about anymore. Somebody, anybody, punch the shit out of me.

My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...I hate being sick.
Especially when I need to do homework.
So a game that was intended to be a fan-made Sonic game ended up getting its own original idea. It's (sort of) being called the true Sonic 4.
Even though I've never even played Sonic 4...
Is it weird that I want the Dragon's Breath launcher from Destiny as a physical prop?
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisProbably not. If it's cool looking, I'd want a physical replica.
Blog linkIt'd be weird if you didn't.
Now I'm sad it's not in Year Two.
Oh really when?Well, it's a vaguely dieselpunk olive green launcher with a typical fighter plane "shark nose" paintjob and a rack of miniature exhaust pipes on the side.
Hmm, now that I'm thinking of it, I'd gladly fit it with the capability to fire airsoft Moscart grenades (or at least those Nerf rockets, what's the Nerf rocket launcher called? Titan?) and a pop-up laser pointer.
"what the complete, unabridged, 4k ultra HD fuck with bonus features" - Mark Von LewisI love subtitles that use accurate punctuation.
It's the little things that count.
Accurate spelling is a bonus on some channels.
Binging on Castle just now. I swore I would never watch it because it would just make me sad that Nathan Fillion wasn't still playing Mal, but I'm really enjoying it...well, except for the episode that's on now; Killshot. There's nothing wrong with the episode itself, but Beckett is wigging out because the case they're working on keeps reminding her of her own shooting. My heart rate is elevated, my shoulder really hurts and I'm starting to get a bit cold-sweaty.
Time for a beer, I think.
