Raze is a pretty fun series of sidescrolling shooters. And, bias talking here, Riddle School is a great septology of point-and-click games you could beat in its entirety in about 2 hours.
Long live the New Bev.Browser game eh... Fallen London is a good one that springs to mind, though it isn't sci-fi.

We never know the value of water till the well is dryBloodborne is looking really tasty, but it's an exclusive. I may eventually pick up a PS 4 so I can play it (along with The Last of Us and Infamous). In the meantime, any good games for the PC or Wii U that scratch the itch of, "action RPG in a gothic/Lovecraftian setting?" My roommate sings the praises of Dark Souls, but that's more of a High Fantasy series, no?
Panhandling sign glued to hands. Need $5 for solvent.Grim Dawn for PC is a Diablo style Action RPG (more in the vein of Titan Quest) in a Victorian setting. Hopefully that is fine.
Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines is less action-y but fits the gothic bill better.
Dishonored isn't really an action RPG but the setting has the required architecture.

I refuse to play Mugen Souls with its censorship, half the damn game pointlessly is missing. I would play the shit out of it if there was a mod to restore the missing content.
I looked at Banner Saga but it has time limits right? I might try it out.

Well about the Banner Saga, the story progresses automatically through dialogue and there's no real grinding opportunities.
To use Fire Emblem as a comparison, I'd compare it to FE Fates Conquest, but with dialogue trees and character (skills) customization in-between battles.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Stuff like that usually means endless restarts as you might have a wrong skill and such right?
Well yeah, if you're minmaxing... :)
There's already 2 episodes, like Mass Effect can transfer saved data from 1 to 2...
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Looking for more Roguelikes and Rogue-lites in the vain of The Binding of Isaac, or RPG ones like Darkest Dungeon.
Dead Cells is a metroidvania-roguelite that seems to be getting quite a good reception lately.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Yeah, Dead Cells is on my wishlist for sure after watching Vinny play some of it.
Check out Has-Been Heroes.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! Are there any good games like Banished for Android? Key features I'm looking for: City building, historic setting (basically not set in modern times), resources instead of currency, professions, and no freaking microtransactions. If anyone can recommend anything, I'd appreciate it!

Any good free browser games out there? I'd like something of a sci-fi bent, and have no particular preference what genre it is.
