Well, that was 5 posts. The most interesting part of this chapter for me was the investigation now being focused on Nagato.

Actually, the count resets if the page rolls over before the 5-post limit. Thoughts on the chapter below. WALL OF TEXT WARNING.
Who DIDN'T call the first scene?
HAHAHAHAH Hairpin. I guess Brian is taking some cues from Astonishment. Nice touch that it came from Haruhi.
Aaaand Haruhi's new friends see right through her. Ai's really too sharp for the harem's own good.
Uh oh. Miyuki's fishing for leads. This can't end well. :P
Oh, she's going to try to have someone try to monitor Yuki without being noticed. Now THAT will be funny.
Oops, typo. "If it's no that, what is it?"
Ooh, new viewpoint and character.
Gonna challenge the one who confessed to Haruhi, eh? Seems like this is gonna surprise him fast.
Hhahaaha, looks like our recurring first-year makes another appearance. Amazingly NOT around Kyon.
Heh, Haruhi defeated the president of another club without even meaning to.
Aww. Yuki wanna play?
"Wait, wait— 'Kyouko', huh?" Hehehehehe, sharp Haruhi.
"..and oh no I've gone crosseyed"
Les Yay ahoy!
Ryouko playing translator. Now THAT'S hilarious. I'd be tempted to turn GCM back off myself, just to troll, if I were in his position. ... ok, maybe not with Yuki, she probably wouldn't understand that I was teasing.
Heh, a focus on the possibility of Kuyou's hair. *waves* Hello, Brian!
Yuki thinking about the meaning of hair length I don't think Kyon could handle her in a ponytail. Neither could I, for that matter.
Yuki wants Mikuru. I love how much thought she puts into "engineering" these situations, and how much enjoyment she gets out of it. It still makes me laugh to think of Yuki as Kyon's pimp. That or the best wing(wo)man in the world.
"It was superior to noodles" > Implying the possibility that something wouldn't be superior.
"You are here" Awwww~
"I am not wanted?" I can't help but imagine a pouting, puppy-dog-eye look, even though that's not what's happening.
*smile* "I am wanted" Oh god dammit, I just want to glomp her at this point
"I categorize you as a friend." AWWWWWWWW
Kuyou giving a true smile. G.L.O.M.P. Damn, she's starting to out-cute Fluttershy this chapter.
Aww, Kuyou denied. For now, anyway. Yuki seems quite open to the idea, though. P.I.M.P.
"I will make cookies for you" Well, someone's definitely learned the Through His Stomach strategy. And I'm not even going to say it at this point. I glomped her a long time ago.
Awesome chapter, can't wait for the next!
EDIT: And my brain's been having weird thoughts. First, Sasaki gets asked if she's "in on it".
Second: cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies cookies NOODLES NOODLES
Third: Kuyou vs Flying Spaghetti Monster.

Well I guess this chapter marks the second club president that Haruhi's defeated (unknowingly this time of course).
Unclouded TJ: Taking Bunny-Ears Lawyer too literally.Fifth post; spoilers unneeded after this.
So, Yanagimoto and Sakanaka find out about the Marry Them All situation. I'm still wondering when Koizumi's gonna find out.
And Kanae now has Yasumi's hairpin. Given to her by Haruhi, no less. And, ye gods, THE FLIRTING. XD
Also, Kuyou ''still'' haets noodlez, lol. Yuki + Kuyou = DEATH BY EXTREME CUTENESS.

Wow,that was SO good! Cuteness meter just exploded. Both Kanae-chan's hairpin (through I hope she won't end up being like her canon counterpart) and especially Yuki and Kuyou's double date. As I am a follower of the Cult of Chorus's Angel, it makes me really waffy. Especially on the promise of even more goodness it contains. Also, Ryoko's seduction lessons, that bound to be good...
Other points: Practice dating, really? Guess calling herself lesbian while you isn't is too much even for Haruhi's craziness. No wonder girls were able to see through. That, and she is not too keen on lying to friends. Still, having supporters outside of the plan is good thing, especially if they can keep other friends from learning things they shouldn't.
And, with this cleared, next up is Kunikida route (for Satonaka)! So, slip into Heeling to be redeemed by the Power of Love after all? Or just strait romance? Anyway, if it also have side effect of bringing more Sasaki goodness, all's good.
Mikuru's cover story is doubted? Looks like it is time for "Shutaro" to come over. One high coverage date for them two (without Yuki) would be in order.
Yuki's going to be investigated? I wonder if Akasaka could chalk most of her strange behavior on being underage enforcer in crime syndicate... Or catch the tail of one of her group dates...
All in all, awesome update is awesome. Good read it is.
Such a thing is apparently not too uncommon in Japan. S Class Relations.
: About Yuki being investigated, I'm surprised that Miyuki didn't recall a certain meeting between Yakuza ninkyo dantai groups:
And even then, there was a single very good shot of Mori stepping into a pool of light, so that much was confirmed.
The audio was significantly less incriminating than she would have liked ... but it did point out that 'Kyon' was there, and named another associate, the previously unknown 'Nagato Yuki'.
Yuki at a meeting of Yakuza groups: Inconsequential.
Yuki living in the same apartment complex that the "missing" Asakura formerly lived in: Flag for investigation.
It is amusing that before the decision to focus on Yuki, Miyuki briefly considered shifting her focus to Haruhi. Imagine how that would've turned out.

It's Sakanaka, not Satonaka.
Commentaries:
What did Taniguchi mean when he said "For a middle schooler"?
... So, what did Haruhi tell Yanagimoto and Sakanaka the previous night? Because they obviously don't believe the ruse.
Oh dear. I hope Nagato has her home's security measures up to date.
Poor Akito-san.
Oh, lordy. Romantically-confused-and-nervous Kyon is hilarious.
"Er, no, no," he said quickly, shaking his head. "You're our friend, Suou-san, I didn't mean that."
Kuyou abruptly smiled, emulating Ryouko's typical cheer when she was full-sized. "I am wanted," she deduced.
Kuyou turned and cocked her head to one side curiously.
Yuki completed, "I categorize you as a friend."
The smile Kuyou showed in response to that did not appear to be emulated from anyone at all.
Kyon's eyes widened at this, even as Kuyou nodded her acknowledgement. The most commonly observable pattern was that Kyon did not engage in that particular transmission with those who he called with the '-san' honorific.
Obviously, she needed to determine how to tighten her orbit in relation to his, at least enough that she changed honorifics. Observations from the Chorus couldn't offer any insight into this; perhaps she should consult more closely with Ryouko? She seemed to understand the exchanges between Kyon and the others much better.
"Er— Yeah," Kyon mumbled, shaking his head and giving a last confused glance to Yuki. "Um— I consider you a friend and an ally, Suou-san."
"Next time, I will make cookies for you," Kuyou determined. She was certain that would help.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.I did not get, "It would probably make his head explode." - or something alongthat line - if it's something dirty, I get it. Though, I think I'm missing the point.
I did naht.Ever heard of the phrase "Men think with the wrong head"?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Heehee...
I did naht.I am steadily beginning to understand more of what Kuyou is saying. Oh dear.
Haruhi is still about as subtle as a brick, isn't she?
Heheh, Les Yay. Les Yay everywhere. XD
To be honest, I half expected Kuyou to try and see what it was like for Kyon rather than Yuki.
Avatar SourceI still don't understand what Kuyou was saying regarding Achakura. T_T
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Basically, Asakura is no longer going to cause a hellish amount of problems because she's been altered from her previous stabby path. The analogy is basically that the SOS Brigade is a solar system, she's an incoming body, and gravity has changed her trajectory from a collision course to a stable orbit.
I think, anyway.
Avatar SourceI figured out most of that except for the space part.
I did naht.I'll try not to repeat stuff that other people said.
Chapter Fifty One: Bait and Switch
"It really is possible to have too much of a good thing. Don't add too much fuel to the fire, unless you're prepared to deal with the consequences...."
"Tending the Flame" — [The author's name has been scratched out here]
So far, all the epigraphs were more-or-less easy to attribute by the context of what they talked about and the author's initials. Also, all of them but Koizumi's belonged to the members of the Harem. This could be simply because the Harem is the majority of the fic's population, but nonetheless I've assumed that this is the general rule. However, if the epigraphs come simply from the people who are connected to the Brigade, not just personally to Kyon... Then "Tending the Flame" can be authored not only by Sasaki, but by Kyouko or even Akasaka Miyuki. If so, this no longer hints that Sasaki eventually joined the Harem, but also adds interesting implications towards what kind of flame the author has been tending.
And lastly, I have no idea if any events of this chapter can be considered "too much fuel". If yes, then their consequences are much less obvious then I've thought.
Only to be intercepted by Yuki's grasp.
So far, Kuyou is much more obviously heading towards the Harem. Should she join it eventually, this will bring the number of Kyon's... concubines?... to six, which is conveniently divisible by two - the number of Kyon's sides that the girls can wake up at. When/if both Sasaki and Kuyou join the Harem, then the number will be odd again. This fact is the greatest problem I have with Sasaki being in the Harem.
As a conclusion, chapter 52 or 53 must give more screentime to the Anti-Brigade. And Kunikida. I was definitely missing them.
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often. And for the divisibility problem, we can always have one girl sleep on top of Kyon. Problem solved. (crushing him is a nonissue - besides the fact they're all petite enough compared to him, it'd take Yuki/Kuyou/Haruhi a snap of the fingers to negate the problem completely.)
Of course the central position is given in rotation.

Kyon; He's in his harem, All's right with the world Scratching at the cat box since 1986 while Battling with Dread Shoelace Robots.Still doesn't explain why Achakura is so concerned with Nonoko's safety, which is what Yuki had admitted she has no idea why.
RE odd and even harem number: You could always have the "odd" girl sleep on Kyon rather on his side.
Dammit, ninja'd!

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Although, the two greatest attractions are Nabiki (and the clash of personalities in general) and the lack of chackra/kekkei-bankai/magic fruits. Plain old hard work wins the day.
@ Marq:
Originally Asakura was orbiting (revolving around, centered on) IDSE. Now, she is centered on (Mag. Rad.) Nonoko. This is because (M. R.) Nonoko was the first "non-claimed" individual that Asakura interacted with, and because without this change of center our little chibi would not be able to achieve harmony with her id the Brigade. So, basicly, what Rainy said.
There's still a chance. Like Haruhi said, it won't be easy.

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus."Entry vector" -> "the way to approach smth." -> "attitude"?
Rather than smart, I'd prefer to be wise. It would let me be silly more often.*happily scratches out "Smiley hairpin" from personal wishlist*
One high coverage date for them two (without Yuki) would be in order.
I actually was thinking about something along this lines:
- Yuki and Ryouko develops a holo-disguise based on an aged version of Kyon's cousin.
- Kyon shows up wearing his new "Shutaro" attire by the end of classes, preferably in Mikuru and Tsuruya's classroom if it's possible.
- Kyon suddenly kisses the hell out of Mikuru in front of as many Kitago's students as possible, while telling her how much he (supposedly) missed her.
Bonus Points if only Tsuruya is informed about this plan and Mikuru recognizes Kyon only by the way he kissed her.
I think it's more likely that Yanagimoto and/or Sakanaka will ask that question to Haruhi if/when they meet her (awkward moment for Haruhi), especially if Sasaki shows interest on hearing news about Kyon and Yanagimoto managed to connect the points. There is also the thing about the reveal of the engagement, which Sasaki is partly responsible for.
Something I didn't notice before, it seems that Sakanaka studied in the same middle school as Kyon and Sasaki. While Sakanaka didn't seem to recognize Sasaki's name, it's possible that she knows her by sight, which could be an influential factor in future events.
Yuki living in the same apartment complex that the "missing" Asakura formerly lived in: Flag for investigation.
I think that's related to the fact that Miyuki is being very careful with revealing the real motives behind her investigation. For example, her actions against the Fujiya-tachi were, on the surface, because of the illegal guns. Now, if she starts an investigation about Asakura's disappearance, the perceived motive would probably be Yamane's (former) obsession with her.
IMO, it would be amazing if Ryouko gets her old body back to derail Miyuki's efforts.
Word of God about the chapter's title:
Here, Haruhi 'baits' Yanagimoto and Sakanaka with a plausible cover, but they don't buy it — her 'switch' fails. The second time around, she realizes that if they really dig, they might find out about more of the brigade's secrets. So she 'baits' them with a small bit of the truth, and then switches focus away from 'the Brigade is full of supernaturals' (effectively).
Well, really, Yanagimoto also aids the switch tactic by shifting focus to Sakanaka's love interest of that shor— Er, smart kid. <_<;
I have to go now. Damn...
I have other reasons to find Ranma's curse interesting. Still, it's the sort of thing that often appeals to me aside from that, so...
Skipping over most of the block quotes, which tend to confuse me more than they help, does anyone else think that Kanae is getting a bit too into things? The epigraph could be Haruhi's work, if that's the case. XD

Avatar Source"Y...yes!" Kanae managed to eke out, as Haruhi took the envelope from her.
Even without insider information it seems pretty obvious that Haruhi wants to protect Kanae more than anything else.
I always look with interest to what the interpid detective will come up with. She definitely needs more screentime. Now I wonder what will she do when her investigation into Ryoko turns out a blank.
[[quoteblock]] "I ... suppose," Sakanaka allowed. Goodness ... aside from Haruhi, Kanae, Tsuruya, and evidently even Asahina-sempai ... how many people were involved?
Haruhi/Kanae interaction:
Yuki blushing! And being all embarrassed! Definitely huge bounds of character development.
Before he could manage more than turning his head a few degrees, Yuki reached up and turned his face back, pulling him down as she rose onto her tiptoes.
Teh cuteness!
Und wenn du lange in einen Abgrund blickst, blickt der Abgrund auch in dich hinein.
Eh, it's a Sunday.
My observations on the new chapter: Kanae is adorable! Haruhi and Kanae are adorable! Yuki is adorable! Kuyou is adorable!
