7/10
It can be a good way to create tension, and it's pretty cool when it's used in fighting series.
Just a simple man, making my way through the Tropes.7/10. Not needed, but can enhance drama.
8/10. Always an effective trope for sci-fi.

Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.6/10. I’ll accept it if there is a very good reason for it, but I don’t have a high opinion overall.
Sympathetic Slave Owner
5/10 if this is pre-Emancipation, 1/10 otherwise.
Jason has come back to kill for Mommy.6/10, don't really have much of an opinion on it.

"What does freedom really mean when demanded of you by a god?"8/10, can be misused but is a great way of creating a unique fantasy world

9/10 Can make for a very tragic figure. Bonus points if they still menage to preserve some positive qualities.
Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist
"We live in a society" - Winston Churchill, probably7/10. Pretty cheap if it's a Bait-and-Switch, but it can serve to make an effective Hate Sink.
The Big Damn Kiss Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
7/10. It's pretty cheesy but also pretty nice.
Lack of Empathy "Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - Carmine
8/10. It's very effective in showing how cruel a character can be.

8/10 Nice criticism.
7/10. A pretty funny comedy trope, if overdone.
Everybody loves the me! I’m a great athlete!6/10. It feels like a YMMV trope in some ways.
Comedic Shotacon Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
3/10, I understand there's Values Dissonance but it can feel pretty uncomfortable,
In a similar vein, Really 700 Years Old "What does freedom really mean when demanded of you by a god?"
6/10. Neutral on it but it can be quite interesting.
Death Throws "Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - Carmine
3/10 Very condescending to say the least.
There Is No Kill Like Overkill
The one called "Acid" is dead, but I don't know how to change my username.6/10. It's either very cathartic, or very cheap.
Ancient Astronauts Orcus on His Throne will always be my pet peeve.
3/10 It's not exactly flattering to humanity's intelligence that they needed Sufficiently Advanced Aliens to kickstart civilization. What's worse, there are people who genuinely believe that any great achievement of the past is done by aliens (or magic). Also, it's done to death. When done right, on the other hand...
The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
8/10. It's quite dramatic.
My Parents Are Dead "Paldea has a lot of different Pokemon from those in Kitakami." - Carmine
Ediit: Isn't what I thought it was. 7/10 since I actually have this happen occasionally when someone asks something like what job does my dad have (died before I met him) so I can actually relate tbh.
