Kirby realizes this demon's game. No matter; if the original Kirby can take down a living planet with the power to tear portals into extradimensional space without a break, Yellow Kirby can take down this... thing... after a good nap.

Yellow Kirby switches to LEAF and tears up all the balls for a moment with a Leaf Tornado, then takes that moment to erect a pillar of flora. The pillar rapidly fades away, but falling into Kirby's grasp from where it stood...

... is a wooden baseball bat. He quickly switches to ESP, and uses telepathy to address Christopher Robin directly. His voice has dropped several octaves from the babylike vocalizations of moments ago, and now sounds somewhat intimidating (like what happens to Yugi when he uses the Millenium Puzzle). "So you claim. But even nightmares like you can be killed by sheer force. Even if us mortals have to bend the rules of reality to do it. Come on, let's play ball."

IT BEGINS! Also, I think the baseballs are gonna make people dies of liver failure, due to the fact that they all have Power Glows.

"So then, you've finally decided to play my little game. Every try, I will throw 50 balls. You must hit 40 of them over 100 yards. If you don't, you have two options: Try again, or die. So let us begin."

Christopher throws his first ball, one that seems to glow white, it is remarkably slow, only to freakin' disappear about halfway through its travel, shifting slightly to the right and considerably speeding up.

Kirby doesn't even process what just happened by the time he gets a strike.

If you're cool with it, Yellow Kirby will eventually (but not immediately) be able to use his ESP to sense the balls and hit them perfectly until Christopher Robin interrupts the streak with a pitch that isn't in Home Run Derby. This can be a combination of every single pitch at the same time including zigzag, or something ridiculous like throwing multiple balls at once or having the ball fly at Kirby from behind. Still, keep in mind that Star Slam Heroes shows Kirby to be capable of batting a meteor so hard its velocity is measured in light years per second.

Yeah, that's fine.

Christopher then throws a ball with a blue aura, but he throws it in such a way that it bounces above the usual range of the bat on a normal swing.

Kirby thinks he's ready, but he's not. Still, he reacts quickly and finds himself jumping into the air to hit the ball.

A successful hit, but the ball simply lands on the ground 10 feet to his left, far from a home run.

However, Yellow Kirby realizes that wasn't just a knee-jerk reaction. It was his ESP telling him how to respond before he himself knew how. Now he knows. He just has to endure a couple more...

Next, the ball takes on a red aura, and it zigs and zags every which way on its path towards Yellow Kirby.

"I see you're starting to get the hang of my tricks. But take note that you still haven't actually hit any home runs yet."

Kirby calms himself as he sees this ball engulfed in crackling red energy sidewind its way over to him. He sees the ball's course in his mind as a narrower, but not perfectly straight path, then he hits that ball with all he's got.

Still, he hasn't developed a sense for that "sweetspot" on his bat, which Pooh Bear at least did master. The ball flies a good 45 yards at an angle a bit worryingly far to the right.

"You're getting good. I'll let this one be a bit easier, as a little gift."

This ball was covered with a greyish energy, and was simply a fastball. A really fast fastball.

The ball is upon Kirby the moment it leaves Christopher Robin's hand...

And in that same moment, Kirby's bat is already in motion.

HOME RUN! 130.4 YARDS

"Well, looky looky. Our first home run! Now it's time to really have fun."

The ball's energy this time was a yin-yang mix of red and blue, and it bounced back and forth. The worst part? It bounced backward before Yellow Kirby could hit it, then bounced forward again.

I won't be doing this one often, (at least not in the early cycles), but I just wanna show off my level of evil creativity while slowly working up to the new balls with a few fused ones.

Kirby is in shock as the ball beans him in the back of the head, knocking him over.

"Fine. If you're gonna mix things up that much, how about you let me?"

If Christopher Robin will allow it, Kirby will replace his baseball bat with something he is much more used to hitting things with...

"Okay, I'll bite. What is it that you have up your sleeve?"

Christopher allows a moment of reprieve for Kirby to switch weapons.

Kirby holds his bat up in the air. It transforms into a large-headed wooden mallet, identical to that used by HAMMER Kirby, though he maintains his ESP baseball cap and its associated powers.

Holding this weapon, he breathes a relieved sigh in his normal voice before reassuming his batting stance and saying in his telepathy voice, "It's on!"

"Okay then~"

The next ball almost wasn't covered in energy, but it seems like a sickening black goop. It was still energy, but it seemed much more liquid and tarrish than anything before.

The way it moved was unique, too. It moved for a second and then stalled. All of a sudden, it warped to a different location. This happened a few times before it warped in front of the hammer for a split second. If it was not hit, it would warp around a few more times before it went to taunt its possible assailant one more time, and then appear behind them and resume momentum, counting as a strike.

Kirby catches the ball in a Hammer Swing. As he spins in a circle, the hammer's head carries it along for the ride, until he stops and the ball goes sailing forth.

HOME RUN! 300.0 YARDS

"Ooooh, number two. Keep in mind, you're still nowhere close to beating me."

The next ball is covered in purple energy, and seems like a normal fastball, until it gets in range, upon which it teleports back to the beginning, going faster and curving around.

43/50, 38 Runs Left

Before Yellow Kirby was separated from Pink Kirby, they had faced a number of enemies as one being that used Teleport Spam in different ways, one of whom used it in a very similar fashion to this pitch as a way of covering its weak point. Not only that, but ESP gave Kirby the power to teleport himself. Knocking this one away was child's play.

Not at all. Same here, in fact. However, I also don't have the patience to play out each one of these, so why don't we start tomorrow on 6 or however many Balls Remaining, 2 Runs Left? I have a really awesome finale in mind that may or may not involve Grand Hammer versus whatever Christopher Robin uses. I also assume that at 1 Run Left, he'll start spamming impossible pitches that will reduce Kirby to 1 Ball Remaining?

Sorry, I have a Pre-Calculus test first thing today. I'll be ready in an hour and a half or so.

Here's a setup in my last bit of time before the test. It's 5/50, 2 Runs Left. This is in Winnie-the-Pooh's Home Run Derby rules, where there is one last pitch at 0/50. This means that Kirby must get two more runs out of six pitches to win.

Out of curiosity, is Christopher Robin Chaotic Evil, Neutral Evil, or Lawful Evil? Based on his willing to be lenient, I'd say Lawful, but he's also playing an Absurdly High-Stakes Game for fun, deliberately warping physics with each pitch, and intelligent Chaotic beings can cut their foes slack if it amuses them. Furthermore, is he a Graceful Loser should he somehow be vanquished, or will he begin to suffer a Villainous Breakdown the closer Kirby gets to those 40 runs? I ask because it's up to you how Christopher Robin is going to compose himself.

I'd put him towards Neutral Evil or even Chaotic Neutral, and he'd be somewhat of a Graceful Loser, although he'd be a bit less patient the closer Kirby gets to 40.
