YAY!
By the way, the music video was really good! Makes me wish I'd found it sooner!
I have yet to watch it.... bahaha. I'll do so later, when my mom isn't home.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI found this on Curtis' Instagram. I'm still hyperventilating. It's gotten me into American Murder Song. Do we have a page for it?
It's Quiet… Too Quiet... What happened, you guys?
Still waiting for the CD I bought to come in...
GAAHHHH I DIDNT SEE ANY NEW POSTS
I'm here.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI can't be the only one who just now noticed how many Creature Feature songs are about The End of the World as We Know It, or at least the end of humanity, right? Think about it:
"Aim for the Head": Zombie Apocalypse
"Look to the Skies": Alien Invasion
"The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth": The ants attempt to overthrow humanity.
"Fodder for the Elder Gods": The Elder Gods come to destroy humanity.
"Nearly Departed": See "Aim for the Head".
And if you want to drag Rufus Rex into the mix, the entire album was building up to the end of all humanity, barring the main protagonist.
Also, notice a few Bookends in the songs? I'll give you these:
"American Gothic" begins and ends with the quote: "If there's nothing in the darkness, then why do you lie awake? Something in the shadows is keeping you from sleep."
"Buried Alive" begins and ends with a Heartbeat Soundtrack.
In "A Gorey Demise", the first thing you hear is a character's laughter. The last thing you hear in the song is also a character's laughter.
You certainly do some examination! Yeah I've noticed it as well, though.
Ah. Fodder is just one of my favorites. I love it so much!
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdAh, a brilliant piece, isn't it? There's something so oddly intriguing about Humanity's Wake. Probably why I explore it a lot in my fanfics.
I'm wondering if I should start a separate thread to ramble on about American Murder Song, especially since Curtis is in it. I don't want this thread getting off topic...
(Couldn't help but notice your sig, so... )
Haha! Thanks for that! I'm 17 now.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdYou're welcome! (Officially two years behind... )
I'm still watching this even though it's been two days... Send help...
Hey, at least they spelled his name right, unlike last time...
I'm writing a fanfic based off of The Greatest Show Unearthed right now. (As in, the whole album.) "Aim for the Head" is proving quite fun right now.
That'd be fun... Writing a fanfiction for a whole album!
I could try that sometime.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdIt is! It's going to be an entire series! Some of them are hard to write for, though... *Looks disapprovingly at "American Gothic", "A Gorey Demise", and "Dr. Sawbones".*
Some of them come naturally to me. It's really easy to come up with ideas for "Aim for the Head" and "Fodder for the Elder Gods" due to my fascination with the apocalypse or "A Corpse in My Bed" and "The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth" due to the sheer absurdity of their humor. (There's a Little Inferno joke in "The Meek Shall Inherit the Earth", for example!)
I remember when I first saw videos from Creature Feature concerts, I though that Erik had long arms. Maybe his stripes were messing with my head.
Probably the stripes.
He pulls em off pretty well, though.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdAh, he does.
My idol on Deviant Art is a fan of Creature Feature because of me, which is why I freaked out when she posted this.
Ahhh! My idol on DA is named The Ghoul Avenue and she's the one who got me into them.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdThe Ghoul Avenue sounds like the name of a show. It could be! You never know!
It's a good feeling when your idol mentions you.
I want some ideas for one of the fanfics I'm writing. Specifically, I can't think of anything for the titular chapter of American Gothic. I also don't know what to do with "Dem Bones". Any help?
I dunno... something bony.
But really, you're probably much more creative than I am...
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdProtip: Always write down your ideas. They're not going to be fresh for long.
I recall one of my ideas now, but I was going to scrap it because I couldn't seem to convey Through the Eyes of Madness properly.
I wish i were as creative as you tbh
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdI wouldn't mind hearing about the things you've written, if that's okay.
oh... erm....
they were always gay fanfictions... Mind you, of actually gay people.
ppppppppfeiufiofuiorjfadkfbnjkdflaosigjbkghuiafjkldjnbaghkdOh, okay.
I was afraid to bring up this topic before, simply because I was scared that a shipping war would break out, but... Shipping... People ship Curtis and Erik together. "Curtrik", as it's called. If you ship it, that's fine, but I don't like it. We can civilly disagree on that, right?
Also, don't send links to the band members about it. They have made it more than clear that they are very uncomfortable with the ship. The last time someone sent Curtis shipping fanart, he quit the Internet for over a week.
YAY FOR OTHER PEOPLE
