I hope Super Mario Bros 2 gets added. That thing runs on a whole different plane in terms of gameplay!
And it'll be a Wart/Bowser stack.
It's been 3000 years…So Somari will now be canon, then?
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Super Mario Maker will have 60 levels pre-built. The 100 levels was a mistake from Nintendo of Europe. Michel Ancel is creating one of the premade levels.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIsn't that the guy who made Rayman?
Rayman transformation confirmed?
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"60 is still enough to justify the purchase by themselves, assuming they are all are of decent length.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?So you unlock assets over time. That's kinda weird, but this is Nintendo we're talking about.
Replayability. That's what they want. I bet some users will make their levels and then never touch the game again unless there's an update. Giving players a bigger incentive to keep coming back is a good idea.
The replay value of this game is pretty much endless if you bother to actually try the levels made by other people, which is like half of the point of the game.
Assuming I'm interpreting the video correctly, it only takes slightly over a week to unlock everything, though. It's not like Splatoon where they're spreading out on-disk content over four months to keep the online community alive. I understand the logic behind that, but I don't see much purpose to making people wait a week to unlock all the tools.

Right. Didn't think it through. But nonetheless it helps to add replayability through unlockables in my opinion.
I also think it is limited on the first day because they don't want to overwhelm players that never created a level before.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureCompatible with squid amiibo??? Hellz yeah!
And with 50 others... Ho-lee-shieeeet!
Custom sound effects? Hiding enemies in powerup blcoks? Coin cannons???
You can make so many trolly levels with this!
This is Mario on crack! And I fucking want it!
Gamexplain said they plan to make a level with a P-switch in an invisible question block right at the entrance and you need to carry it the whole level to unlock the flagpole.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureNow I wonder what else you can "combine" in this.
Will combining a coin and a goomba make the goomba burst into coins?
What if a ?-block has a thwomp inside it?
Though another thing I wonder: so far we've only seen 8-bit versions of the amiibo characters. Will they be restricted specifically to the retro look?
Thinking of what sorts of interesting stages I can make on day one.

Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.So far it is limited to just Super Mario Bros style. That is because it is the 30th Anniversary. Though I think they could possibly add an update to the game if they want though that means doing Super Mario Bros 3 and World from scratch. For New Super Mario Bros they can use the Smash Bros assets possibly.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureSo only 8-bit amiibo characters? Fuck.
Well, least it's something.
Anyhow, I really wanna see if I can discover some crazy object combinations when it's out.
Fire Flower Bullet Bills shooting out of cannons? Cannons, that shoot bullets, and the bullets shoot fire!
From what I can tell, "containers" can have pretty much anything in them. Containers being brick, ?, note/music, hidden blocks, Lakitu, and Bullet Bill Launchers(normal and red). Most things can be put into the transportation items as well, which are the Lakitu clouds, Clown Cars, and the Kuribo/Goomba's shoe thingies. There might be some other things that fall under this as well.
Most(all?) enemies can be made bigger via the Super Mushroom, but the other powerups appear to have no effect. Wings can also be attached to pretty much everything, allowing them to fly.
Other than shaking, I think that covers most of the customization aspects.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.Dang. I kinda wanted to make a Bullet Bill Hell segment to a level. With possibly cannons that shoot more cannons which in turn shoot bullet bills that shoot fire.

I've been meaning to ask, is having a separate thread for Super Mario Maker all that necessary? The General Mario Thread doesn't move that fast and there's not much else to talk about there anyway.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
This makes it the third non-smash game where Mario and Link appear together.
Because MK 8.
Not that one, the other one!
