That's pretty good, but this◊ is pretty much a go-to.
Well shite.
I was going to say Pirachu from Neptunia, who In-Universe is a self-proclaimed mascot of piracy but really there is nothing that can beat that Vader... he took over the cover.

That guy from 2 looks kinda familiar.
But seriously, I don't know who one in the OP is. Can't beat Vader.
Yeah, this one is no contest. Vader wins, hands down.
*breathing noises*
Check out my fanfiction!OK with Vader, I think.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThe real question is why no one thought of it until now
My vote for Vader.
Vote for Vader. Why settle for a lesser evil?
Okay, so we all agree on Vader. More support isn't gonna do anything. Now let's try to settle on the right image of Vader. No 2 or something else?
Image Source. Please update whenever an image is changed.2 is good. He's obviously a villain (as if being Darth Vader wasn't enough) and showing up on the DVD cover illustrates its mascotish...ness

13 looks good, and the caption isn't bad either.
I like it being a DVD cover. Out of all the images they could have used for the Original Trilogy they used their Mascot Villain. Shows off the trope very well, 13.

I said 2, but I really meant 13. Cropping off the dvd's spine looks better
This is such a runaway victory it isn't even funny. 13
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."After thinking on the trope though is Vader really a mascot though? I mean when you look at mascots they are critters / animals and such like Mickey Mouse, Bugs Bunny or Slimes from Dragon Quest not actual people . For example a Mentor Mascot can not be a person.
Villian Mascots, I think, are more like Pirachu the evil mascot mouse of piracy in Neptunia, which is totally not an evil Pikachu. or Kyubey from Madoka Magica.
Vader while being a villain and huge just isn't really a 'mascot', he is more in the same spot as The Terminator.

"Whether they are Big Bads, Ineffectual Sympathetic Villains or just the humble Mascot Mook is not needed, what distinct this from the other tropes is that the Series Mascot is evil."
Kind of specifically mentions that the cute part isn't necessary.

Check out my fanfiction! The pic/caption combo in 13 is pure win.
The first line of Series Mascot : "A character, creature, etc which is heavily associated with a fictional universe, to the point of being the (official or unofficial) mascot". Nothing about non-human. Oh, and Vader and the Terminator happen to be on the example list there.
Yet another for 13.
This kinda stagnated. Since 2 had overwhelming support and 13 was just a slight crop of it (and even on its own had 6 votes in favor - one shy of our usual count of seven for definitive support), I went ahead and put 13 up on the page.
I think the caption is technically still up in the air, but the caption in 13 also seemed to be gaining support, so it's what's up on the page, pending any other suggestions.

Moon◊I'll mark this as "caption discussion".
