Should I still continue my RP idea?

I'm currently working on the OP.

Here's a preview~

Even Gods can fall.

The world is cruel and merciless, a place where shadows lurk in the horizon, ready to strike and kill those who approach. Most simply try to survive it, looking for light in a tunnel of darkness. Some try to look for the source of this unnecessary cruelty, believing that the brutality of the world has a source, a reason.

That is where the Deities come in.

Deities manipulate the world. They create the structure where we stay in, they modify the environment and the other realms beyond the familiar physical environment... and they are the ones who have manufactured this harsh setting.

Perhaps that is why so many of these mortals choose to rebel against them, trying their best to defeat them... or, at least, open their eyes to the fact that they were monsters who endlessly tormented mortals.

Most of these rebellions proved to be failures. Acts that were in vain and ended only in tragedy for the unfortunate mortals that invoked a God's wrath. Many mortals died. Others, having seen the attempts that were for nothing in the end, chose to give up rather than die. Yet some chose to persist.

And, eventually, their repeated actions proved successful. They may have failed to kill a deity, but they managed to let them see the truth.

And someone seeing the truth can lead to catastrophic results.

The mortals who successfully rebelled made the deity Shatter.

Their great power splitting apart from them thanks to the emotional flood from the revelation, the God falls, their power fragmenting and falling to the physical world like meteorites, turning them mortal in the process. However, even with their powers gone, the deity remembers.

And they intend to fix their mistakes and change the world for the better.

In this RP, you play as a Shattered God, a former deity who has lost their powers and turned mortal after the revelation of their cruelty and apathy.

Most Shattered Gods intend to fix their mistakes by finding where their lost powers have gone to restore their abilities, gaining the ability to completely repair the twisted reality they now live in once they take back all their powers. Others simply try to help out in mundane ways, doing their best to support mortals. Then there are those who revel in their new lives, turning away from their past as a deity and living a completely normal life... well, as normal as someone who has the memories of an extremely powerful and immortal being can live. They all share one thing in common: they refrain from

However, life for them is not that simple.

Thanks to the repeated rebellions of mortals against deities, some of them, tired of having to deal with mere mortals battling them, have created Constructs, beings made entirely of magic and energy, produced to deal with mortals who prove to be rather powerful and a nuisance to a deity's plans.

And these Constructs have now set their eyes on the Shattered Gods, seeing them as enemies to be destroyed.

Is the signups for mechas full yet? I was thinking of making a Megas XLR style char and mecha.

About the shattered gods one, you got my interest. May I suggest that every Shatter gets to have a Fatal Flaw like in some greek myths? Or maybe like in Hancock where the superhero is deeply flawed and he completely loses his cool and goes mad when called specifically "asshole"? It seems to fit your whole "struggle with morality" thing

Here's an RP idea I'm working on- I'd like some tips if you don't mind

Behold, the idyllic realm of Arcadia. This is where the players are assumed to have lived in the backstory. It's full of Ghibli Hills, grassy meadows, crystalline lakes and rivers and woodland areas. Peaceful nomads wander the land, hunting their prey. Meanwhile, another group of peoples live in small colony in the wilderness of the realm. Another have created a large medieval city in the heart of it all. It is a land where it is always summer, and time stands still.

This is a bit too sweet, isn't it?

Now, some adventurous youngsters started wondering how in the world such a wonderful land could exist. Wondering leads to doubt... and the Powers That Be hear it all.

Their representatives- two divine beings named Lotrix and Golios appear to these doubters and offer to show them how this Utopia is possible- for the price of leaving it behind forever to serve in their court. Most refuse, since even an unreasonable utopia is still a utopia. But some, in the pursuit of knowledge, wisdom or what-have-you, agree. And all of a sudden, with no preparation or forewarning, they are whisked away, out of their idyllic existence in that life and into another.

Enter the court of the heavens. When those who willingly gave up their idyllic life arrive, they turn around and see their former home miniaturized and placed in a glass box- it was nothing more than a dollhouse, a source of entertainment for the gods. Then, they are given their divine duties- act as the champions' chess pieces, in a divine game. That's where the RP begins.
Basically, it's a dramatized game of chess, played over and over. However, when the pieces are put away in their metaphorical box, that's when the real drama starts. Exploring the house of the gods, gambits, eating of the Forbidden Fruit and such matters is encouraged.

Oh look, a ghost!

Lately I've been considering rebooting my old Guild of Friendship RP.

This was a crossover, freeform Magical Girl RP based around the idea of player-run plotlines. The reboot would have a central plot that could be followed for those who don't want to create their own plotline and who don't find any of the other plotlines interesting, although there'd still be focus on player-run plotlines.

I still haven't managed to scratch my itch for a good magical girl RP, and I feel this concept was the one that had the best shot at being successful. Would anyone happen to be interested in this concept?

Welp, guess I'm back here again. Don't worry, people-who-might-know-me, I won't go dropping out of roleplay before i even get into it this time - in a better place now. That said, moving right on to topic:

I think a few months ago, somewhere around then, I was asking about a mystery crossover roleplay, and unless I missed something, there's still not one around like it. So! I propose that I make my own; where the players would play fictional detectives/investigators/snoops sent on a quest to untangle the many mysteries of the multiverse. Of course, I ah...don't have a whole lot thought ahead, but I feel I've got enough to start a discussion about it. This is more, say, an interest-check for an interest-check. Anyone, well, interested?

Here's an idea.

In another dimension, people start appearing there spontaneously. (Mainly canon characters.) When they enter the dimension, they cannot leave it until they meet one condition; reach the core of the dimension. The planet-sized dimension has five sections; the Surface, which is split into another three sections, the Magicant, a colorful land, that is on the inside, dangerous, the Towers, which are guarded fiercely by Images, entities that seem hostile to anyone not of their kind, but otherwise have a human mind, the Underworld, which I'll say is pretty fucked up, and the Last Dawn, the mechanism holding this dimension together.

When people enter, a Type and an Affinity is subconsciously rolled, a la Homestuck. As people progress through the sections, they will soon find about their Type and Affinity. What they do are not known.

So basically it's just a combination of something like Suitrise barring the Mechs, City of Lost Characters, and etc.

The Gods' Champions, a Fantasy Kitchen Sink Adventure-Friendly World, possesses an Overarching Storyline about saving the Gods from ruin. Be it from an Anti-God church, preserving their reputation, fighting off powerful beings- There's numerous Story Routes to pursue and Sub-Plots to explore.

The Gods' Champions is one of my most beloved projects, and thus I know all the possibilities inside & out- So updating would be respectably rapid, though I'm also aiming for each Player Character to start separate, with them gradually coming together for the Final Battle (or Battles depending on events).

On one hand, I admit it'll greatly improve Post Production speed if each Player starts alone. However narratively the point is that I want each of the Player Characters independently earning their role of Champion- Which'll make the eventual unions especially awesome.

Thus, if anyone is interested in joining The Gods' Champions, I can upload it with ease- And additionally, begin it pretty quickly.

Anyone interested in this yet-unfinished RP idea?

•Open RP•

(Notes: Not for easily offended roleplayers. There are chances that the characters will engage in insults or other actions some may see as offensive. The preferred style of writing is literary, but conversational or transcript is also accepted within reason. Also, when one of your character dies, unless there is a high-ranking Priest or Druid who decides to resurrect you, it will be treated as permanent.)

Genres: Action, Fantasy, and Adventure. May or may not delve into other more subtle genres.

Character roleplayers are restricted to these races, though suggestions for other races and classes will be allowed in the Worldbuilding thread:

Human, Fairy, Elf, Demon, Angel, Spirit, and Dragon.

Here is the basic (and rather stereotypical) information about each race. The classes listed are the most common classes taken by each race, although people like Fairies who are Engineers are not unheard of. Not all races share the same personality, as there have been Angels who are self-serving, as well as Demons who were attuned to order.

Humans - Advanced mainly in Technology, they are also winding experts in combat that requires physical strength. Strong and brave at heart, they are divided into Engineers, Warriors, and Hunters. Additional classes are Priests and Rogues.

Fairy - Talented in Magic and long-ranged combat, they are able to fly out of combat easily, and are swift runners. Mostly cunning and sly, they are divided into Sorcerers, Archers, and Rogues. Additional classes include Warlocks and Templars.

Elf - Representatives of Nature, they have unsurpassed agility and are particularly good with animals. Generous and pure, they have two Sects, the Tamers, and the Druids.

Demon - They harness extremely dark arts, and as thus are immune to dark curses that will kill any other race. Normally rather reckless and selfish, they have two classes: the Warlocks and the Infernals. Additional classes include Archers and Umbrans.

Angel - Reserved in every action and bearers of the Holy Powers, they can withstand any sort of Holy Magic and even use it against the wielders. They are also gifted with flight, albeit their flight can last longer than the Fairies. They have two sects, the Templars and the Priests. Additional classes include Druids and Hunters.

Spirit - Mystical beings that roam in the physical world, according to each one's speciality, they are immune to the Element they are attached with. They are the only races that can Vanish, allowing them to become untargetable by any sort of attacks. They have four main classes, the Infernals, the Aquanaids, the Atmophrons, and the Terranaids. Additional classes include Umbrans, Illumians, and rarely, Druids.

Dragons - Fiery, sentient beings that have lived long in the realm, they can assume both reptilian and humanoid forms, and they have heightened senses, along with a natural immunity to fire. In their dragon form, they have the ability to fly and are much larger than a small cottage. Their classes compromise mostly of Terranaids, Infernals, and Warriors, although there has been some who are Templars and Hunters.

Factions (None of them are allied with each other in any way, so be prepared for mild insults going on. This is a roleplay.)

These are the three premade factions characters can join, although creating new factions is very much allowed.

The Guild of Sainians - Home to the noblest and highest-ranking of all beings, they are mainly composed of Human Royalty, Archangels, Glorified Dragons, Superior Demons, Lord Spirits, Commanding Fairies, and Ruling Elves. They are well known for their composure towards each other, and their strong bonds as an alliance. Recently, they have opened up to every ranking available, just as long as the recruits are brave enough and are worthy.

Leader - High Commander (open place, will only be taken judging from the performance of the roleplayers)

The Brood - Unlike the Guild, they happen to be willing to accept just about everyone ever since their founding, and up to since they are still together. To cope with their apparent lack of nobility, they instead rely on trickery and deceit, up to the point that they can interrogate Royals who they manage to capture.

Leader - Superintendent (open as with the Guild)

The Wardens - The most mysterious of all three Factions, they are known for their nearly unbreakable alliance, with its members even letting themselves die than to get their confidential information revealed. Majority of them are cunning and sly, thinking before they act.

Leader - Baron (open, same terms as all the other Factions)

Basic Class Information (Suggestions for new classes, or class traits can be given in the Worldbuilding/Discussion thread.)

Warriors - Strong, brave, and more than willing to charge right in a fight, these melee fighters are very resilient to damage, and are capable of dealing with more than four enemies at the same time.

Engineers - The heralds of technology, these people don't usually stick to just melee or ranged, preferring to switch when the situation says it, and they can create weapons with specialisations according to their tastes. While naturally a bit sensitive to damage, they can raise their resistance and defenses by creating specialised armor at the cost of damage and movement speed.

Hunters - Masters of the forest, these ranged fighters are good with bows and arrows, and they can coat their arrows with poisons taken from the forest animals and plants they find. They are talented in blending into the surroundings, and so may be hard to notice.

Priests - Masters of Holy Energy, they are ranged fighters that are very capable of healing others and giving them support. However, that does not mean they aren't capable fighters, as their Holy magic can get very nasty. They don't really rank high in resistance, though.

Rogues - Great at staying undetected in plain sight, these melee fighters are more than capable of sneaking up on someone and slitting their neck. They aren't exactly the hardiest of fighters, however, but they have their sneaking abilities to rely on.

Archers - These long-ranged fighters are the absolute masters of sniping on someone from a long distance, and their mastery of archery has reached the point wherein they can make simple steel arrows pierce right through chainmail. As a consequence, they aren't the most resistant of classes.

Warlocks - These magic users have mastered the darkest of magic, and they can summon minions from other realms as they please. They are also capable of cursing their enemies, and they can cast very destructive spells to wreak havoc. As with Archers, they don't rank well in resistance.

Templars - Protectors of Light, (Note: I still haven't written this part, so...)

Anybody interested in a crossover RP? It's called When Universes Collide.

Setting/Plot

Every day, humanity watches, plays, reads, and enjoys all of the stories that are given to them. Well, what if I told you that every single one of them actually exists in a different dimension.

The creator of most of these realities is a being called Azathoth. Sure, lesser deities have sprung up over the years and created their own universes, but Azathoth was ultimately the creator of the Omniverse (a term for all the realities in existence invented by Marvel comics.) Azathoth was a malevolent being, enjoying the suffering and torment of his own creations. This caused a revolt against the twisted being by the lesser deities, mainly started by one Yog-Sothoth, who is the personification of the Omniverse. The lesser deities stripped him most of his power and sent him to sleep, forever circled by creatures that play lulling music. Or so we thought…

One day, the creatures that played the music that kept Azathoth asleep decided to take a break. Azathoth awoke and swiftly killed them all. Lusting for revenge on the gods that stole his power, he gathered a team of villains from all over the realities to conquer the Omniverse once again.

Hearing of this, Yog-Sothoth called upon the heroes of all realities and pleaded for them to help in his cause. In return, Yog would place duplicates of the heroes in their stead. Yog-Sothoth’s next choice...your characters!

At first, the location that Yog and Azathoth place our heroes and villains on normal Earth. Some have milked on being famous there. Others have hid their identities. And yet others have been training the population to get ready for a Chaos attack. The exception to this rule is OCs from modern Earth, who experience no transportation at all. More universes will open up over time.

Appearance of Azathoth

Appearance of Yog

Dos and Don'ts

Do feel free to play as many characters as you think you can handle.

Do listen to the TV Tropes rules.

Do feel free to place villains who don’t agree with Azathoth’s methods in Yog-Sothoth’s faction. And vice versa with heroes!

Do nerf characters that are over Super Weight 3. The IC explanation is that Azathoth weakens them.

Don’t place any curse words or other content soft PG-13 or over in your posts. Due to a thriving community of underage roleplayers, I don’t want them scared away by mature content. What I mean by soft PG-13 is Pirates of the Caribbean level content.

Don’t use telekinesis, mind-control, mind-reading, omnipotence, immortality, or seamless invisibility. If you are planning to use a character with any of these traits, take these powers out! Excepting invisibility and telekinesis, which will be handled case by case. Again, the IC explanation is that Azathoth weakens them.

Don’t be a munchkin! Godmodding, autohit, autododging and other things that would instantly allow you to win a fight are not allowed.

Don’t be afraid to make a poor decision or get hurt IC once in a while.

Don’t use characters over 20 feet tall. If you want to use a character that is, shrink them.

Character Form

Character name:

Source: (For example, if you’re roleplaying Shrek, type here Shrek. If your character is original, place OC here.)

Faction: (Either Yog-Sothoth or Azathoth.)

Appearance:

Personality:

Powers:

Equipment:

History: (Oh yes, one last thing. Some franchises have many alternate “histories”. Make sure to put the version of the continuity your character is taken from at the very end of your History composition if your character is part of a franchise which employs these alternate “histories”. Like Kelvin timeline if you’re playing Kelvin timeline Spock. Or AU for any AU characters.)
