Looking For Players [RPs You're Not Sure Anyone Wants You To Start]

It was a while ago, but I'd like to try it again. Is anyone interested in a One Piece role-play thread? I've been in the last two (And G Med the second one, but not sure if the GM bringing it back counts as a necro!). Either way, I'm up for starting a new one if enough people are interested?

Same goes for a Metal Gear RP.

So I just started working on this idea, but I'm loving it- Tales of Tento, which has a Tournament as the main focus & basis of the plot. Obviously, as a Tales Series inspired idea, there are gonna be twists and reveals. I'll also strive to provide In-Universe reasons for stuff, such as possessing a Sorcerer's Ring allowing for Overlimit and Gald being the currency due to a famous legend that a slain Dragon bled golden fluid.

It should be ready later this month, so who's interested? Oh, and some other highlights- Arte Trainers/Teachers, Arena in every City, Arena-fighting being plot-important, and Titles having In-Game effects.

Anybody interested in a New World Of Darkness RP? First Edition, focusing mainly on Vampire The Requiem and Changeling The Lost, using only the 1e corebooks.

Beast The Primordial and Demon The Descent do not exist in this RP's continuity and neither would the Strix or the God-Machine.

So anyone would be up for a High School Fleet (read Girls und Panzer with ships instead) RP based on the Atlantic Theatre?

Maybe we should wait and see what is actually going on with the plot in that show first.

I actually meant more like the basic principle of the show rather than an RP more or less in the shows Canon

So lately I've been into Bloodborne. It gave me the idea of an RP that's some weird combination between that, A Nightmare on Elm Street and Persona where a group of teenagers are dragged into a dream world to hunt literal nightmares with dream-granted superpowers.

It'll probably be a while before I start the thing; I'd like to work on the basic plot and stuff to avoid the same pitfalls my last two RPs suffered from so it lasts past the first night. All the same, I figured I'd ask if this is something anyone could get behind.

I'm cool with that.

Anyone interested in a crossover prison escape RP where you have to escape a prison planet with other players, or play a guard that has to stop the escape from happening? I've been working on the idea for a while now but I'm unsure if there would be interest.

Okay, so, I was hoping for more interest regarding Tales of Tento and Magica Genesis. However, having a sweet Evolving Weapon dream last night, I could somewhat hybridize the two Concepts together (with a dash of New Genesis Fame)- Thus an Evolving Weapon centric roleplay, with elements like Limit Break & Weapon Cannibalism just to start with.

However, I've been doing a lot of thinking, and I decided the Roleplays I've tried to do were simply too open-ended and nonlinear to work. I always did well with more Action & Reaction type Roleplays, and I do rather enjoy the Choose Your Own Adventure genre. What Could Have Been and major emphasis on thinking your decisions through... It is simply exciting!

Thus, would anyone be interested in joining a more Focused roleplay that emphasises considering your Actions? My Roleplays really do need more order to them, but I also love seeing unexpected actions. Thus the A&R format, which gives me greater control yet still allows for Player Actions to shape the story.

I could give a clear example if anyone is interested in a more A&R styled Roleplay. Plus, if the A&R format is something I can do here, I'll be able to restart several old ideas.

Well, regarding the A&R format, a demonstration seems best.

GM: "Approaching you swiftly is a swordsman, his blade glowing brightly as ferocity irradiates from his body."

Player: "I aim to avoid him, and thus let off an attack of my own should I succeed."

GM: "You successfully evade him, yet he manages to block you in return."

Admittedly a simplistic portrayal, the idea is that GM and Player Acts & Reacts to each other. Thus, barring actual Control-type powers and knocking one out, the Players & GM cannot decide each others' actions. However, the length of each segment is highly dependent on what kinds of & how many actions a Player makes.

Though while you may end up with short-looking posts (thus allowing for a rapid updating schedule), I would treat talking, thoughts and flashbacking as Free Actions most of the time. However, you'll also need to consider your surroundings and the characters too.

Regarding the Evolving Weapon centric roleplay, I would say the main premise is You obtaining a mysterious weapon (Orderforgers, Zerosigners, or Chaosbringers) which grows as it fights. Thus there'll be some Evolving Attack elements, and your Weapon can develop copied/emulated/counter Abilities as you fight specific types of enemies over & over.

Most likely I'll have it that the Weapons are drawn to each other, and thus it won't be uncommon to get attacked by other Weapon owners who want to assimilate yours. Beyond that, though, I just came up with the Project so...

I the ideas of the weapons. But Im not a big fan of random arena fighting.

Now that I've graduated, hopefully I'll have more time to work on this idea. A thread is still on the horizon, so don't expect it too soon.

So, Issac The Red and I have been discussing potential ideas for an Academyof Adventure rp, as requested in the looking for gms thread, and it's been turning into more of an Academyof Evil rp. Before we kept going in that direction, we decided to check if the people who originally expressed interest in the idea still would be.

The Premise: In an alternate history version of the twentieth century, some children have the fortune- or misfortune- of developing mysterious abilities. Although the nations have various ideas of what to do with their abilities, the USSR has decided that the best option is to use them to pull ahead in their neverending quest to get ahead in the Cold War. Children are 'invited' to a special school where they are trained to utilize their powers, along with more traditional military skills. Although some of the teachers are far nicer than others, the overall result is a school that's generally firm but fair. However, the fact that the alternative to attending is death or going into hiding makes a lot of them resent being there...

Well. I'd be fine with that, so long as we don't have to play straight-up evil people.

No, the player characters are not necessarily supposed to be evil, just used as weapons by the government. I think...

It's up to the players to decide what and how the characters are, after all.
